Bro, chill! I had the same experience as a DE student. I wanted to quit when I had 2.90 in first semester. I re-strategised my mode of studying, changed those friends that I roll with, and make friends with those average students a year ahead of me. My CGPA is now 3.95, still in 300level second semester though.

My first CPGA at LASU was 2.40. Meanwhile, I have obtained UTME form and chose UNILAG before LASU could offer me admission. On seeing my first semester's result, I wanted to quit LASU and began to process UNiLAG but I can't stand the pain of starting from 100level when I suppose to be in 300level. I sharply changed my group of friends and began to mingle with best brains in my class and faculty, gave up social media for months, studied for minimum of six hours and maximum of eight hours daily and pray to God. That semester, I pulled a G.P of 4.40. That's how I came out of CGPA recession.

Politics$2.1 BILLION ARMS SCANDAL: How We Spent Money, By Northern Elders by sheettle(op): 5:44am On Apr 03, 2016
In what appears to be a twist to the lingering
controversy over the propriety or otherwise of
the investigation into the $2.1 billion arms
scandal linked to the campaign activities of
the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the
2015 general elections, the Chairman of the
Northern Elders Forum, NEF, Alhaji Tanko
Yakassai, has released the details of how his
group expended the N53m disbursed to it in
tranches for the elections.
The NEF Chairman confirmed that a former
Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT),
Chief Tony Anenih, spent his money on the
assignment on the instruction of then
President Goodluck Jonathan . The former
presidential adviser told Sunday Vanguard, in
an exclusive chat, that he was making the
details available to the world to correct the
information in the public domain that the
funds made available to his group were part
of the $2.1 billion arms money.
Indeed, many PDP leaders are questioning the
propriety of the conclusions of the
investigation into the activities in the Office of
the National Security Adviser, ONSA, which
claimed that some individuals received funds
without contracts or that contracts were
awarded without documentation or that some
of the contracts awarded were bogus. Names
of those who allegedly collected funds from
the ONSA have already been published.
It is against this backdrop – just as Anenih
had made it clear that he was not in a
position to ask President Jonathan where
funds for the repayment of campaign costs he
had incurred would come from – that
Yakassai gave an activity-by-activity
breakdown of the expenditure.
In fact, the breakdown of the expenditure
profile by the Yakassai group indicated that
there is an outstanding balance of N16 million
to be claimed.
Yakassai, who made the document of the
breakdown available to Sunday Vanguard,
revealed thus:
“Please find below full statement of the
expenses incurred during our tour of 17
northern states and the FCT, sponsored by
Chief Tony Anenih, on the directive of former
President Goodluck Jonathan from January 14
to February 14, 2015”.
According to Yakassai, “States visited were
Sokoto, Kebbi, Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa,
Zamfara, Katsina, Nasarawa, Kogi, Niger,
Ilorin, BenueBenue, Plateau, Adamawa, Taraba,
Bauchi and Gombe”.
He identified members of his team as Alhaji
Sule Iyaji; Senator Abubakar D. Sodangi;
Ambassador M.Z. Anka; Chief John Mankilik;
Alhaji Sulaiman Lawal; Dr. Luka Bahago; and
Barrister Bitrus Gwadah, Personal Assistant,
with himself as team leader.
The elder statesman said members’ allowance
@ N250,000 for eight members for 21 days
came to N42,000,000.
He disclosed that return tickets for Abuja-
Sokoto, Abuja-Kano, Abuja-Ilorin, Abuja-Yola/
Jallingo Abuja-Bauchi/Gombe plane trips were
at a cost of N50,000 and the total came to
N2,250,000.
Yakassai put hotel accommodation of
N30,000 per night for nine persons for five
nights.
The elder statesman further said payments to
personal assistants was N20,000 per person,
while the Christian Association of Nigeria,
CAN, delegation from Plateau State, which
visited Anenih, got N2,000,000.
By the standards of those involved, Yakassai
suggested that the expenditure pattern was
modest.
However, like the former PDP BoT Chairman
said of the outstanding funds yet to be paid
to him, the NEF Chairman put the outstanding
claims for his assisgnment at N16,850,000.
The breakdown for this, according to Yakassai,
is as follows: Car hire for seven persons for 25
days at N50,000 totals N8,750,000,
accommodation at other places N6,000,000
and Plateau Special Delegation got
N2,100,000.
He said the idea behind the release of the
details of the expenses of his committee was
“just for the record”.
Already, tongues are wagging regarding the
intention behind the names published as co-
conspirators in the arms scandal as some
PDP leaders insist that funds allocated to
them were for campaign purposes and no one
asked where the funds were being sourced
from.

PoliticsIPOB Plans Live TV Broadcast, Massive Protest by sheettle(op): 12:56pm On Apr 02, 2016
By Chimaobi Nwaiwu.
Nnewi - The Indigenous People of Biafra,
IPOB, has said that it will resume protest in it
bid to free Nnamdi Kanu, Director of Radio
Biafra and that it is putting in place a
Television technology that it will use to
broadcast live all its activities in Nigeria.
IPOB also said its leader and Director of
Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu will no longer
accept any food, including those brought by
his close family members to avoid poisoning
it by the Department of State Security, DSS,
alleged to always scrutinize his food before
allowing it in.
IPOB in a statement jointly signed by its
spokesmen Emma Mmezu and Dr Clifford
Iroanya, said 'many people are willing to die
for Nnamdi Kanu so Buhari led All
Progressives Congress Federal Government
should tread carefully with the life of Mr.
Kanu because hell will be let loose if anything
happens to him, Nigeria will never be the same
should anything untoward happens to Kanu”.
“Our resumption of protest is imminent but for
understandable reasons we can't give you
details yet. We are putting in place our TV
technology so the whole world will watch it
live online and gain firsthand knowledge of
the brutality of the Nigerian Army.
“We are IPOB and we do things in a unique
way, so our next outing will shake the whole
earth. The worst mistake this government did
is to arrest our leader and now they are
beginning to discover how formidable we are.
“Death to us is nothing, freedom for Biafra is
everything. Those governors from southeast
state who have decided to bring them selves
out as argent of the APC led government in
Nigeria will soon know the stuff IPOB is made
of at the appropriate time.
“In response to what some South East
Governors are doing, IPOB does not expect
our elders and leaders to support us openly,
we know that not all of them are trust worthy.
IPOB worldwide decided to be doing and
piloting this struggle without them at this
point in time, till the appointed time” they
said.
Also "there is serious plan to kill Mr. Kanu by
his persecutors who are confused on what to
do about the charges they preferred against
him, just as they said they will resume their
protests.
“We have advised our leader to reject every
food, including those brought by close family
members because the DSS that always
scrutinize his food before allowing it in as
might poison the food.
“He will also not mix with other prisoners
because we are aware that Interior Ministry
officials working through the Prison Service
have planted their agents pretending to be
prisoners, in order to spy and report on him to
DSS.
“We have eyes everywhere so we get regular
reports on his health status. Nigeria knows
the consequences should anything happen to
our leader because in every family in Biafra
lands are hardcore IPOB” they said.
“The bail refusal is not a problem for us
because IPOB wants the trial to go ahead, so
we can expose and disgrace a corrupt judicial
system hamstrung by the whims of a dictator
in the the present government of Nigeria” they
said.
The group alleged that “the trial Judge was
hired to do a hatchet job, but he never
reckoned that we will be this tenacious. As
long as they want to go by the rule in this
trial we welcome, it but any silly games will be
resisted.
“It is obvious that the Nigerian Federal
Government has no case against our leader
Nnamdi Kanu, hence we continue to call for
his release rather than his vindictive
detention.
Meanwhile, the IPOB through it Media and
Publicity Officer Mr. Emma Powerful has
denied a local radio and television report in
Anambra state that Mr. Nnamdi Kanu is
begging President Muhammadu Buhari to
release him.
IPOB described the report precisely from the
Anambra State owned radio and television
reports as blatant lie that is calculated to
destroy the name of Mr. Kanu and to give the
impression that he is chicken hearted when he
is not and is in high spirit to face his trumped
up charges.
According to Mr. Powerful to set the records
straight, there no time IPOB, Mr Kanu or his
lawyers wrote to Buhari, Nigerian Government
or representatives of the Nigerian Government
anywhere in the world begging for the release
of Mr Kanu, rather IPOB through lawyer to Mr
Kanu wrote the British High Commission
Abuja over the injustice by Nigerian Federal
Government against Mr kanu who is also a
British citizen.
In the letter through their lawyer Hon. Ifeanyi
Ejiofor, titled "Nnamdi Kanu: A victim of
travesty of justice and a call for British
Government to be on the watch” IPOB said
there is a deliberate design by the Nigerian
Government to subvert the course of justice in
the criminal trial of Mr. Kanu.
“It is repeating the obvious to state that Mr
Kanu is a full British citizen, by virtue of
which position he is entitled to all rights,
privileges and protections guaranteed under
the British Laws and convention.

PoliticsBoko Haram Releases New Video, Says ‘no Negotiations, No Surrender’ by sheettle(op): 3:07pm On Apr 01, 2016
https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/01/22/24E67E9B00000578-2921905-image-a-22_1421943855153.jpg

Boko Haram released a new video Friday denying any suggestions it would surrender, just over a week after their shadowy leader Abubakar Shekau appeared in a rare message looking dejected and frail.
Shekau, who was not seen on camera for more than a year, released an unverified video late last month and said his time in charge of the Nigerian jihadist group may be coming to an end.
If the video indeed depicts Shekau, he appears thin and listless, delivering his message without his trademark fiery rhetoric.
It prompted speculation from the army that the Islamist group was on the verge of collapse in the face of a sustained military counter-insurgency.
However, in Friday’s message, Boko Haram maintained it was a potent fighting force, with fighters posing with AK-47s in front of Toyota Hilux pick-up trucks and a lorry mounted with a military cannon.
“You should know that there is no truce, there is no negotiations, there is no surrender,” an unidentified masked man wearing camouflage said in a prepared script in Hausa, in the video posted on YouTube.
“This war between us will not stop.”
The video, which was of markedly better quality than Shekau’s and included Arabic subtitles, featured nine masked Boko Haram fighters standing on sandy ground in an undisclosed desert location.
It is unclear if the masked people in the video include the Boko Haram leader.
Shekau was still the head of the “West African wing”, said the masked man in the video, likening Boko Haram to the Islamist insurgencies in Iraq, Libya and Syria.
In March 2015, Boko Haram pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group, another of the world’s most deadly terror organisations.
But there were few signs Boko Haram — now styled as Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) — has so far benefited from the partnership.
Nigeria’s army has since then won back swathes of territory from the militants, liberating thousands living under Boko Haram control.
An estimated 20,000 people have been killed since Boko Haram began its campaign of violence in 2009 to carve out a hardline Islamic state in northeast Nigeria.
More than 2.6 million people have fled their homes since then but some of the internally displaced have begun returning.

Politics2016 Budget Will Lift Millions Of Nigerians Out Of Poverty – Lai Mohammed by sheettle(op): 1:28pm On Apr 01, 2016
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji
Lai Mohammed, has said that the 2016
budget will lift millions of Nigerians out of
poverty and that there is no disagreement
whatsoever between the Executive and the
Legislature on the 2016 Budget, which has
been passed by the National Assembly.
''There is absolutely no rift, no issue of budget
being sent back. Things are just taking their
due course,'' the Minister said in Abuja on
Thursday when he visited the corporate
headquarters of the Leadership newspaper, as
part of his continuous engagement with
stakeholders in the media industry.
He said it was not true that the President has
refused to sign the Appropriation Bill passed
by the National Assembly, adding: ''It takes a
few days (after the passage) for the National
Assembly to clean up the document in
readiness for the President's assent.''
Speaking further on the budget, Alhaji
Mohammed said when it is eventually passed
into law, it will lift millions of Nigerians out of
poverty, thanks to the six focal areas of social
intervention contained therein.
“The first is the employment of 500,000
unemployed university graduates who we are
going to train as teachers. Two, we are also
employing 370,000 unemployed non-
graduates, people with National Diploma and
Technical Certificate. The third tranche is the
social intervention targeted at 1 million
people made up of market women, traders and
artisans to be trained and given loans through
their cooperatives.
“The fourth one is the home-grown One-Meal-
A-Day Programme. Here we are targeting
several millions of pupils in primary schools
all over Nigeria. The exponential effect of this
one meal a day is huge.
Even if we are targeting five million pupils and
we are giving each of them one egg a day, you
are talking about five million eggs that will be
provided by our poultry farmers. This will also
help to increase the demand for maize and
then you are going to employ people all
around,” he said.
The Minister further disclosed that the Federal
Government will also commence the
Conditional Cash Transfer to the most
vulnerable Nigerians, in collaboration with
some development partners, to bring succour
to such people.
He said that a special bursary scheme will
also come on stream to grant scholarships to
students of Science, Technology, Engineering
and Mathematics in a deliberate effort to
support the students financially while also
bolstering the nation’s drive for
industrialization.
Alhaji Mohammed also disclosed that the sum
of N350 billion will soon be injected into the
economy to enable contractors to resume work
on abandoned infrastructural projects, with
timeline and target on project delivery and job
creation.
He thanked Nigerians for their patience and
the understanding of the challenges facing the
government, saying rather than give excuses,
the government was working round the clock
to alleviate the pains of Nigerians.

PoliticsAPC Now Has Two Factions —timi Frank by sheettle(op): 12:06pm On Apr 01, 2016
*Wants ex-Gov Sylva probed *As party leadership denies rift By Omeiza Ajayi

ABUJA — Despite repeated denials by party officials and members, the All Progressives Congress, APC, is now divided into two factions. Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Timi Frank, disclosed this in an interview with journalists in Abuja, yesterday.

Meanwhile, the National Secretary of the party, Mai Mala Buni, last night dismissed the claim about division in the party, saying: “The bogus and misleading allegations are unnecessary distractions to the party’s resolve to fully support the President Muhammadu Buhari administration deliver on the motley promises made by our great party to the electorate.” Frank, who was reacting to allegations that APC chieftain and former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva “sold” the state’s ministerial slot to Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, lamented the inability of the national leadership of the party to steer it from troubled waters.

He said: “I spoke in Bayelsa (about the impending crisis) but they did not take me seriously. Very soon, it (crisis) will happen at the national level too. If anyone tells you that there is no crisis in the national APC, it is a lie.

“The party is now divided into two. The issue of the Senate president is still there and the party is not talking. So, there is crisis in the party. We have so much divisions and they are keeping quiet. If care is not taking, we are soon going to lose our popularity as a party.” Although he didn’t give identities of leaders of the two factions, Vanguard understands that while the ACN, CPC and ANPP are largely doing things in common, the new PDP seems to be on its own.

Sylva must be probed

On claims by Bayelsa State chapter chairman of the party, Chief Timipa Orunimighe, that Sylva collected money from the Minister of State for Agriculture, Heineken Lokpobiri, to nominate the latter for a ministerial slot, Frank challenged the party to rise to the occasion and get to the root of the matter. According to him, the allegations are too weighty for the leaders of the party to remain quiet, and such posturing will impact negatively on the image of the administration at the centre.

He said: “Today I am a very happy man because when I came out before the governorship election in Bayelsa to say that Timipre Sylva cannot do the job for the second time in Bayelsa because he was not liked by the people and was very unpopular at that time, nobody took me seriously, including the leadership of the party in Bayelsa State at that time. But today, I am happy and I am thanking God that he has shown Nigerians what I knew then.

“It is a total disgrace if our party cannot act or investigate this allegation and just allow it to go under the carpet without taking action on it. Nigerians and the opposition party are waiting to see what we are going to do.”

APC leadership denies rift

According to Mai Mala Buni, “the APC national leadership remains united and solidly committed to the task of bringing cohesion to the party at all levels. “Recently, the APC held its National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings where positive and far-reaching decisions were collectively taken by the party’s leadership to drive it forward. “The party will not deny anybody or interest the right to seek justice where he feels this has been denied him. However, we sincerely appeal that we all play by the rules in our engagements and be guarded in our utterances.

“The public is advised not to misinterpret or confuse Comrade Timi Frank’s personal opinions to be the official position of the party or the true reflection of what is happening inside the party. “For the umpteenth time, only the APC National Chairman and the National Secretary are authorised to officially speak for the party.”

CrimeSenate President Saraki's Links To Kwara Cultists- Saharareporters by sheettle(op): 8:23am On Apr 01, 2016
In the afternoon of Easter Sunday, one Wasiu
Idris, a famous member of the Aiye
Confraternity, was murdered in the Sakama
area of Niger Road in Ilorin, Kwara state. The
death of Idris, also known as "Wasiu Igbo-
Owu" or "Adanri," was reportedly carried out
by members of a rival cult gang. Idris, who was in his early 40s, was well
known in the neighborhood as a leader in his
confraternity. He is also known as one of the
elite thugs in the camp of Senate President
Bukola Saraki.
The deceased, who was living in Saudi Arabia,
returned to the country on the eve of the last
general election to resume work as a political
agent.
According to National Pilot, a local
publication owned by Saraki, Idris was on the
balcony of his house when four gunmen
arrived and shot him at close range.
"His assailants ensured that he was dead
before leaving the scene in a commando
style,” the paper reported.
It went further to state that the attackers
came to the area through Baboko axis around
3:46pm and escaped through Edun axis. One
of them, the paper added, was masked.
The murder of Idris was the latest episode in
the fierce cult gang rivalry that has become a
staple in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital. This
death, however, produced less shock than that
of Bayo Ajia, who was hacked to death by
members of a rival gang on January 19 at his
carwash business situated under the popular
Stadium Bridge, along the Ibrahim Taiwo
Road.
Earlier that day, another top thug, Bukola
Ajikobi, had been assassinated in Ilorin.
It was widely believed that Ajia himself was
plotting the murder of Ajikobi when he
received a call to meet someone, probably a
confidant, at his carwash. Ajia, who always
moved around with a bevy of well-armed
thugs, however, headed to the car wash all by
himself and was killed.
In 2004, Ajia was sentenced to death for the
twin murders of AbdulYekeen Gobir and
AbdulGaniyu Hussein. Both men were
murdered in cold blood while partying at
Deen’s Motel in Ilorin.
Ajia's appeal against the death sentence went
to the Supreme Court, where it was affirmed.
But towards the end of his tenure as Kwara
State Sovernor, Mr. Saraki granted him
amnesty and he was freed from death row.
But Ajia was not just another cult kingpin. He
was a premium thug used by Saraki against
political opponents. And on his return from
prison, he took off from where he left in the
service of Saraki.
In fact Ajia’s death was ascribed to
insinuations that he was knocked off by
Saraki because he was blackmailing the
Senate President late 2015.
The use cultists as thugs in Kwara politics
was premiered a few years after the return of
civil rule in 1999. The late Muhammed Lawal,
who was governor at the time, recruited
cultists around 2002 because he needed them
in the fight against the Saraki dynasty, which
wanted him stopped from being re-elected in
2003.
The Sarakis, who operated a major political
machine, also had a most vicious army of
thugs and cultists. Lawal was no match for
the family regarding finance and violence.
Also, to the advantage of the Sarakis was the
possession of a ruthless propaganda
machinery, which was efficient in shifting the
blame for the actions of their thugs to others.
By the time Mr. Saraki became governor in
2003, the use of cultists as political thugs had
become a state policy. Thugs like Bayo Ajia
and Ariyo were placed on salaries and were
prominent members of the Bukola Saraki
political team.
Along with their political uses, they continued
as cultists carrying out hits and reprisal
attacks on rival gangs. Attending parties in
the city became a hazardous undertaking
because violence, often involving murders,
frequently erupted.
Many of the nightclubs in the Ilorin GRA are
run by cultists, whose strong political
connections ensure that such clubs got
regular security cover, with security agencies
turning a blind eye when they committed
atrocities.
Cult killings in Ilorin, people in the town, said,
also, take the form of ritual killing of young
women for traditional purposes. Rumors
suggesting this are especially rife when the
late Olushola Saraki, Senate President Bukola
Saraki’s father, was ill. The recent killings of
some young women in the GRA area has also
been linked to the problems arising from the
Senate President's prosecution for false
assets declaration by the Code of Conduct
Tribunal (CCT).
This grotesque trend is new to the community,
which has always prided itself on its Islamic
heritage.
The escalation of violence in the state, many
are convinced, is directly linked to Saraki’s
vice-like grip on political affairs in the state.
Many analysts reckon that young people in
the community have come into the voting age
in the years of Bukola Saraki’s domination.
Opportunities for advancement are limited for
most of these young people, as the only
openings available are directly related to the
patronage structure the Senate President
inherited from his father.
Saraki decides who receives financial
remuneration for political loyalty and when.
He also has the mercenaries for whipping
dissidents back into line as part of his
political machinery.
Any member of his political camp that
exhibits an independent streak is put down via
suspension, ostracism, and exclusion from the
state-funded largesse. This implies that a
dissident may find himself moved from
relative comfort to grinding poverty.
Most of the cultists have no real life skills and
see Saraki as the only passport to living a
comfortable life. This makes them ready to
maim and kill whenever they are activated to
do so. They are aware that the funds he uses
for patronage come from the resources of the
state, but have been wired to see the Senate
President who is seen as a messiah.
A little over two years ago, some thugs
accosted Saraki at the Ilorin Airport and
shouted: “Ole” (thief)! They insisted that they
were no longer interested in working for him
and demanded payment for services previously
rendered.
A very shocked Saraki was said to have
sobbed before instructing enforcers like
Kayode Yusuf (Maja) to pay off the
disaffected thugs so they could disperse.
Also last April, Ilorin went close to a total
breakdown of law and order when thugs,
several of them drug dealers, took on agents
of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency
(NDLEA) at a drug den in the Gambari area of
the state capital.
Early that morning, the NDLEA operatives
started shooting in the area, drawing an
equally robust response from the firepower of
the thugs. Two thugs were killed. Later that
day, one Ariyo, known as a drug dealer and
Saraki thug, led reprisal attacks on homes of
the NDLEA operatives involved in the
crackdown.
The action resulted in the killing of three
people and the destruction of many houses in
Agbarere and Ita-Ore areas. The fracas later
spilled to other parts like Oke-Kura, Oja-Oba,
and Popo-Igbonna, disrupting social and
economic activities.
Ilorin Info, an online news portal quoted police
spokesman, Okasanmi Ajayi, as saying: “There
was a confrontation between miscreants and
security operatives. It was as a result of
problem between the NDLEA and drug
dealers….That was what caused the crisis and
the police came and rescued the NDLEA
officers, and we are trying to control the
miscreants there. Some houses have been
attacked. We have arrested some people. I can
confirm that two people died. They were
attacking anything they see. They did not
identify any particular place to attack. They
were just attacking.”
What the police officer failed to disclose was
that the 'miscreants' had close links to Saraki.
Ariyo, who led the raid, was a member of the
Saraki camp.

PoliticsSGF, Others Implicated In Saraki’s Unending Trails by sheettle(op): 7:40am On Apr 01, 2016
The current challenges aimed at ousting the
sitting Senate President, Bukola Saraki has
been linked to the Secretary to the
Government of the Federation, David Lawal
and some other officials in President
Muhammadu Buhari’s administration
The same implicated group of Lawal and
others have also been fingered as the key
challenges facing the unresolved Saraki’s
matter.
The claims were laid yesterday by the
Chairman, Senate Committee on Navy, Senator
Isa Misau, representing Bauchi Central whole
speaking to journalists. The Senator also
dismissed speculations that opposition party,
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will take over
if the current Senate President was removed.
The senator further alleged that the Secretary
to the Government of the Federation was
recently in a meeting with some Elders in the
Senate, he said; “I reliably gathered that some
of our elders in the Senate once went to meet
the Secretary to Federal Government, SGF, Mr.
David Lawal, in order to find solutions to this
problem.
‘’They were surprised by some of his
utterances and they reported back to some
senators that he vowed that this matter will
not be resolved until Saraki goes down for
spiting the party leadership.”
He also dismissed the idea that the PDP will
take over if the seating Senate President was
ousted. “What my friend, distinguished
Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, said will not happen
because the APC caucus of the Senate will
under no circumstances allow Dr. Abubakar
Bukola Saraki to be removed.
“But I understand the larger implication of
what Nwaoboshi is saying because our
majority in the Senate is very slim which
means we need to be careful and that is why
we need to find a political solution to this
crisis and this trial of the Senate President at
the Code of Conduct Tribunal.”
He further assured the support of other
members of the House across the geopolitical
zones, “I am a Muslim and I know that nobody
can be a leader without the will of the
Almighty Allah.
‘’But I can tell you today that 99 percent of
the senators are solidly behind Saraki. So
what we call closing of ranks is actually for us
to unite behind our leadership in the Senate,
behind the Federal Government and also
behind President Muhammadu Buhari,’’
He continued that; “Several efforts have been
made and are still being made. However, there
are challenges. Despite President Muhammadu
Buhari’s commendable position not to
interfere, there are some hardliners within this
government who are still fueling this matter
and are, as a matter of fact, interfering with
the trial.”
