Not only in North, this is peculiar to other regions of the country our religion attachment and belief is far below a nation with developmental thinking. Imagine,having part of our budget to send people on pilgrimage, which advance country still does this?when we are lacking basic social amenities like hospitals, schools,road etc.May God help us

I don't think it's because of some people stupidity but to me for security purpose,especially in later future when someone might come with argument that you didn't participate in NYSC or ur possess a fake certificate. You can then bring out the pic posed with the certificate.ask bunmi Adeosun and others in NYSC certificate saga.LOL
