No pending update, I have already factory reset the phone, that's why I brought up the issue of the charger being the culprit. Thanks, I'll try draining the battery completely today and see what happened next.

Good morning y'all,I'm having issues with my phone and the battery life.
I use a Redmi Note 7. My battery doesn't last at all, at 30% I get only about 3hrs SOT. And it wasn't like this about a month ago.Could a faulty charger mean faster dissipation of battery? The phone might be at 80% and once I unplug, it'll fall to 79% immediately. I know I shouldn't use the phone while charging, but then, it doesn't charge while in use, like battery percentage remains constant, which wasn't the case before, only charges when idle.
I'll post a picture of the issue I have with my charger cable. Thanks

I am a pro photographer and I have travelled to different countries with this job and worked along side amazing photographers and to be concise, you guys have a lot of potential and i commend u to keep up the great work u all are doing. You could be the next Peter McKinnon if you strive hard..... hard enough.
