You shouldn't have quoted everything again bro.. Tiring.

On the whole broker talk, we've gone through it in past seasons. Traders should focus on becoming good traders and building a decent account first before anything. As long as you are using a popular broker that pays your profits and doesn't have too many complaints about them, use them.

It's not like anyone here has $1m in their trading account yet and I have seen XM accounts of $250K and $500K being traded without issues.

ECN brokers have their problems as well, some of them being off market quotes where you can be filled 100 pips away from actual price and abrupt close of your trade for lack of liquidity.

FXCM passed off as ECN for years until they were forced to use the "Non Dealing Desk" term due to regulations. Alpari did the same too IIRC.

Trade withdraw and build your account, if you start noticing discrepancies, move. Real market makers for me are those that refuse to pay profits, move orders, requote etc. Everything else na grammar.

Why generalising it. Why not mention the Monicker of the person [/b]who scammed you instead of this [b]baseless generalisation. There are many genuine sellers who offer very fast & nice customer service. A little research about the Data Reseller from u (e.g by checking previous threads opened & buyers feedbacks) will go a long way to reduce the tendency of been scammed. That's my take (Peace) .

It will not make front page as they are paying for adverts all over Nairaland.. Everyone should be careful that's all.

I use these guys to send data plan to my family members but lately, they have become dubious and annoying.

1. They will do everything possible to stop you from moving to a cheaper provider including blocking your number from calls and whatsapp as soon as you request to be removed from their list.

2. They only reply messages fast just before you send the recharge cards. As soon as they get the card, they can keep you waiting for as long as 6 hours.

3. They talk rudely to everyone not knowing who they are dealing with.

I know they are doing a good job to make internet plans cheaper but it is a shame that they can't be honest and offer high quality customer service in a small business such as this. It is a horrible attitude that will hinder them from reaching their full potential.

Anyone interested in the spreadsheet I mentioned earlier should go here for instructions and download. Only works for $200 balance and above though and you must be able to know how to represent worst case scenario using your one month trade stats for it to make sense.

I get it now.. Didn't know the parable was meant for me.. Well like Endfx said, we all have different trading temperaments.

I can't sleep with my two eyes closed knowing my trades are running. This is why I prefer to enter and close daily. Knowing fully well that the daily pip range of the pairs I trade barring any day of major shakes is circa 150-200 pips, it made sense for me to be taking off at 1:1..

When I began this style, I left TP open. After a month I analysed my personal journal and saw that although I made a decent return for the month, it would improve greatly if I didn't allow too many trades to hit BE after going over 100pips or closing at 30-40 pips. I used an excel to run a few things during the making of this decision and I found out that a system with at least 70% accuracy used with 1:1 RR can leave you very comfortable each year.

In the past 3 months I have done exactly that and the results have been lovely. I may make more if I change the R:R like you said but I am not cut out for holding trades overnight or for days. I always tamper with it or else I would have moved to weekly. Anyone that can do so should by all means enjoy.

They are not mere illusions. Afterall people like Endfx achieve more than 1:1 regularly. However it is a much harder way to trade for a day trader that closes all positions at the end of the UK session. Most of the people that profitably do more than 1:1 analyse weekly charts.

What I realised is that trades taken of the daily lines will about 50-0 pips on average, on the weekly, 250-400 pips and on the monthly about a 1000. The patience to wait is what is killing many of us

My new style of trading in the past few months was influenced by yourself and natruetalk. While we wait for indicators to cross and give signals, you people are already in profit. Not that the indicators were useless (at least they didn't lose money overall at the end of the month) but you guys' efficiency was marvelous.

I had to go and research and add my bit (trading just around S and R, sticking to 1:1 RR instead of losing or closing at BE while waiting for 1:2 or 1:3 etc..)

Now, fewer trades, full stop loss hit less than 3 times in a whole month etc. 8 or so trades called here. None has hit SL. Let me see where it will end but for now I am ok with the results.

Massive thanks to both of you for the inspiration.

I know you will recover from your blip in form too.

Follow your system sir but there is a higher chance of seeing a move to 194.xx from here before any major move down. It didn't meet my parameters or I would be holding a buy on it now.

Ok sir. I hope it is not 3 level zz semafor you are using though. It is extremely unreliable. Obviously this our current trade looks good already sha but I wouldn't be comfortable relying on that indicator.

The chaos was expected.. I am sure anyone on the wrong side of those moves would be in soup now because stop loss doesn't fight gaps.
Anyway, Its a new day and I have to follow my system regardless.
Bought EA and EN at 4402 and 6105. 100 pips SL and TP as usual and will close by evening if nothing is hit.

EA TP hit as well so 200 pips taken already this morning as can be seen below. I have enough to risk a sell on GA..
