Bro, monthly updates aren't OS updates. Why can't you guys understand? Monthly updates are security updates! Ah God. There's little input from Google for security updates unless they have something specific. Even if they do, it goes to OEMs before it gets to your phone!!! monthly updates or not pixel is still faster, like I said the only pixel phones that was delayed are the pixel 6 and 6 pro which is for the March security update, and that's a one time thing.

Only the galaxy S22 lineups received the April update earlier than the pixel, many other Samsung devices are just receiving it update compared to all eligible pixel devices that received the update at the same time.

And if we are talking about updates, OS updates is included, it's the most important to people who buy the phones, if not why are you shoving Samsung four years of OS update in our face?

Pixel devices gets faster update than Samsung, only the pixel 6 and 6 pro Google delayed their updates to fix some bugs.

Now if we talk about longer years of major updates then yes, Samsung recently announced that, but only for their flagship devices.

If we are talking about faster updates, it will always gonna be pixels, all pixels eligible for Android 12 got the update last year, can't say the same for Samsung.

Android 12.1 or 12L is out now, not even sure Samsung is thinking about that Yet but pixel devices are already on it.

I own an Oppo Reno 5, barely 4 months old.
I received an update to upgrade my phone from Android 11 to Android 12, which I did.

Ever since then, I've been struggling to bring my phone display up from a sleeping position.

Sometimes when my phone display goes off, a first tap on the power button illuminates a very faint light that can only be visible in a dark room and on close observation of the screen.
The second tap will turn off that faint light.
The third tap will then bring up my full display for use.

This trend will wear out my power button soon and it's very embarrassing.

Who has an idea what solutions I can take as I've messaged Oppo on Facebook but they're not giving me decent solutions.

They resorted to referring me to their service centres in Lagos and Abuja. But I can't travel all the way from Uyo to those cities just because I want to fix a software bug that was instigated by them in the first place.

performance is okay, just not optimised enough like android 1, battery life is a little worse, to my own experience android 12 is not as smooth as android 11, I encountered stuttering alot when scrolling through some apps like Twitter.

Pls I would like to order an LG g8 from AliExpress, I don't know if I would pay custom fees when the phone gets here?
