Davido says there is no amount of money Osun state can make in 30-40 years that his billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke, hasn’t made. The 27-year-old singer who is gearing up for his wedding to his lover Chioma, said this in an interview with MTV Base TV host, Ehiz, yesterday September 4th. He explained why he was away from Nigeria for many months after his Uncle, Ademola Adeleke lost in the Osun state governorship election. With the whole politics thing it was first about family. Honestly, it was first about family. I was in Osun with my guys. We saw everything in plain sight. Let me tell you a story about my uncle. My uncle is the last born of the family. The original politician of the family is Serubawon, my father’s elder brother. “He was the first governor of Osun state; came back then went for senator you know when everybody for the state knows that this is the next governor and then we just woke up one day and they said he went to eat somewhere and he died. “Yoruba culture when somebody holds an office and he passes on they either give the bride or the close relatives. The next in line is B red’s daddy and he is just a happy person. He doesn’t like politics but when you lose your brother everybody knows what’s up. With that, they wanted to give my uncle automatically. “A day to them swearing him in as senator, they said no we want to do re-election, another guy has come up and my father doesn’t like wahala so he said let’s go to the other party if we lose we pack our thing and go. The next day we did election my uncle cleared 16 out of 17 local government areas. “He became a senator in just a week. His own journey to winning that governorship primary election was out of sight that was how we knew this one nah God. “It was painful and will tell everybody here that was the real reason I was not even in the country because of the politics. I have to watch what I say. If I was around he no go dey OK for me and my people. So I had to be a man and say look let me stay away. “We have Adeleke University all the roads that lead was done by my father. There’s no money Osun wants to make in the next 30 to 40 years that my father has not made. The way things turned out was crazy”. Popular South African actor and comedian, Trevor Noah speaks on South African's Xenophobic attack. Over the past few days, the South Africans have been displaying a misled anger on other Africans thereby destroying businesses owned by Africans and resorting to killing and burning of humans (Africans) on the streets of South Africa. Trevor Noah, however, reacted and condemned the xenophobic act and considered it as some form of misplaced priorities. He shared his thoughts in a long post on social media stating that there are about 2.3 million immigrants living in South Africa that includes other Africans, Bangladeshi, Indians, Chinese, Europeans and middle easterners who are not born in SA but only 1.6 million are Africans. He also stressed that the 1.6 million mostly run small shops, vending, service industries and they may only lay claim to less than 0.00001% of SA's wealth compared to the whites in South Africa that make up about 8.7% population and controls 85% of SA's wealth. Trevor also mentioned the urge for xenophobic attacks was borne out of the fear of the unknown, years of oppression as well as inferiority complex due to apartheid. Nollywood Actress, Sonia Narrates How Mercy Johnson Bewitched & Humiliated Her, Angela Okorie Supports Her Nollywood actress, Sonia Ogiri, in a video she shared on her Instagram page, calls out Mercy Johnson for being mean to her and revealed how Mercy’s actions and attitude towards her inflicted so many pains on her and how letting it all out could help her healing process take place. According to the extensive video she shared via Instagram, she narrated that colleague, Mercy Johnson was meaner than she looked in movies. She recalled how on several occasions Mercy Johnson bullied, belittled and maltreated her while on set of some movies they were both featured. She also mentioned that the reason Mercy always got away with it was because she was a much bigger actress than the rest of them and the directors always let her get away with her tyrannous attitude. However, another Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie, also attested to how Mercy Johnson also did worse than she did to Sonia. Angela made it known under Sonia’s comment that Mercy went as far confronting her both physically and spiritually. SUMMARY - Over the past few weeks, the cross-dresser has been seen flooding social media with posts about his upcoming birthday and how he intends to paint the city red with his grand celebration. As a matter of fact, he boasted of numerous slay queens that will be in attendance to grace this event but sadly, Bobrisky's highly anticipated birthday party, however, took an unexpected turn and was abruptly halted by the Nigerian Police over the weekend. Several social media users were really torn apart at this sad turn of event particularly on his birthday of all days. According to the Lagos socialite in a post he shared via snapchat, he affirmed to have squandered over 19 million naira to put the party in place. Several opinions have suggested that the disruption was orchestrated by the Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe who earlier this week, in an interview with Vanguard, called the cross-dresser a 'national disgrace' and promised to deal with him ruthlessly. However, Bobrisky responded to the DG of NCAC singing his own praises of being associated with the 'DG's boss in the government' and as it stands, both of them were not on the same level. In fact, he explicitly challenged Otunba to bring on whatever he planned that he would be waiting for him. MY OPINION - Personally, I feel Bobrisky is doing too much to stay relevant in the social space despite being aware of how Nigerian culture and laws condemn transgenderism. Controversy seeks attention and that has been the path Bobrisky has been threading upon, which I feel has gotten him more than enough clout to avoid troubles and remain relevant for the time being. However, I do not buy the idea of him getting involved in gender-related issues or confronting any law enforcement body/leader. Being a transgender in a country like Nigeria is enough risk as an individual but why seek more clout by bullshit*ing and rubbishing people, particularly powerful individuals in the country, all for wokeness sake? Come on! This brings me to ask what exactly he was thinking by challenging the DG of NCAC and making boast claims of knowing the DG's bosses? Confronting a national leader? What effrontery? Personally, if you ask me I'd just say Bobrisky is not a smart talker and seriously needs to be cautioned because he cannot just trash-talk anybody as he likes and think he can always get away with it. Apart from not being a smart talker, he is also not a smart thinker. Take a look at this, the DG threatens to deal with you a few days before your highly anticipated birthday and out of all the things wisdom brought to you, you decided to reply by challenging him to bring on whatever he had planned. Sincerely, I hated that after putting so much into planning, he then used his own hands to destroy it simultaneously. I think he deserved what he got but it might actually give him the opportunity to ruminate on his words before putting it out there ahead of next time. Nollywood actress, Moyo Lawal, took to her Instagram and posted up a video of her twerking beside an Arab boat captain in a see-through bodysuit. However, a concerned follower reacted to the video and condemns commenters who were hailing her stating that only those with spiritual eyes can attest to the troubling act of this generation. In response to this comment, Moyo questioned the user and railed against her opinion of her saying, “um let’s talk spirituality ma’am… Hit me, please exactly what have I done…. Before you even start, let me remind if you watch entertainment, I have seen almost every female singer entertain people dancing, twerking doing whatever even in bikini …. So what is your point ma?
