LGBT is not a natural occurrence or a trait. It's acquired. The more an individual is getting exposed to, the more NORMS the individual sees it.
Having said that, I got this question for you: how did you get know your child is a lesbian? Your response to the question could help solve the problem.
She might get exposed to it through phones, friends, the place/surrounding she's living, etc. |

Hey, what happened to these two verses: (1)(6:108) وَلَا تَسُبُّوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَسُبُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَدْوًۢا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِم مَّرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ١٠٨ ˹O believers!˺ Do not insult what they invoke besides Allah or they will insult Allah spitefully out of ignorance. This is how We have made each people’s deeds appealing to them. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them of what they used to do.
Invite ˹all˺ to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and kind advice, and only debate with them in the best manner. Surely your Lord ˹alone˺ knows best who has strayed from His Way and who is ˹rightly˺ guided. This topic got nothing to do with their religion even though they will surely attribute it to ours should it happens in Muslims dominated areas. Skydiv: A friend of mine and his wife have been having a series of misunderstandings for some time now. He has asked his wife to leave the house because he is no longer interested in their relationship. The wife, a nursing mother, said she needed time to care for her newborn baby.
They had a serious argument, the lady packed her belongings and left the 2 kids behind a 3 years old boy, and a 3 months baby girl. My friend was shouting furiously that he would bury the kids, and even pointed at a spot to bury them if they didn't make it to the following day, that the woman can not blackmail him with the kids.
Both kids were crying seriously. I went inside the house and carried both kids, my friend started yelling at me that I should drop the kids, or else, he would do something stupid. Instantly, I became very angry and dared him that you cannot do anything, you are a heartless beast who doesn't deserve a child.
He went in and pushed me and the kids outside, then locked the doors and went away, both kids were still crying on my arms. I begged their neighbour to help me carry the eldest child; luckily, the 3 month old baby fell asleep on my arms. They live in a very remote area, so for me to get access to a cab or bike will take over 30 minutes of walking having no other option we started the long walk. After around 10 minutes of walking, it started raining, so I covered the newborn baby with my shirt. We saw the mother on our way, and walked past her she didn't even care.
While under the rain, the baby started crying, the mother couldn't withstand the sight of seeing her kids and me in the rain crying, so she ran to us and started crying and begging me to hand her the newborn baby, which I did, and she started breastfeeding the baby who stopped crying and fell asleep. Luckily we saw a keke that carried us and took the girl to her family home.
Reflecting back, something was telling me that I overstepped my boundaries, that I shouldn't have cared about the kids if their parents didn't. That I should have just walked away quietly. So I humbly ask, did I overstep my boundaries? You called somebody like this a friend |
Family › Re: How Do Men Become Bold, Fearless And Confrontational? by Shimran(m): 10:01pm On May 10 |
iyke484real: Good evening fellow Nairalanders.
Something happened today that has really made me question myself as a man, and I sincerely need honest advice from mature minds here.
Earlier today, my younger one went to the field to play football. After some time, he came back home crying seriously with blood rushing from his head. According to him, he had an altercation with someone much bigger than him, and the person picked up a stick and hit him on the head.
Immediately, I became angry and asked him to take me to the field to identify the person that injured him. Deep down, I was expecting myself to react aggressively because I felt any normal man would naturally defend his younger one and confront the person strongly.
When we got there and I saw the guy, something happened to me. Instead of fighting or causing a serious scene, I just started asking questions about what happened. I couldn’t bring myself to react violently or aggressively the way many people probably would have. I eventually carried my younger one and went back home.
Since then, I have been feeling ashamed and disappointed in myself.
The painful part is that this is not the first time I have noticed this about myself. I always seem to avoid problems, confrontations, or situations that may escalate. Even when I am angry, I still start thinking about consequences, expenses, police issues, public embarrassment, injuries, and other complications that may arise if things get out of hand.
Because of this, I often withdraw instead of standing my ground fully.
Now I am beginning to feel like I am too timid and not confrontational enough as a man should be. Sometimes I feel weak, powerless, and unable to command respect the way other men do. I see some people react boldly in difficult situations while I keep overthinking consequences and avoiding escalation.
Honestly, it is affecting the way I see myself.
Please, I need sincere advice from experienced people here:
- How can someone stop being too timid or fearful? - How do you become more confident and confrontational when necessary? - How do you stand your ground as a man without always retreating? - Is this kind of behavior weakness, or is there another way to look at it? - What practical things can I start doing to become mentally stronger and more assertive?
I would genuinely appreciate honest advice, especially from men who may have struggled with similar issues before overcoming them. You're bold to think of going out to find out what happened to your little one You're fearless cos you face your fear. You're confrontational for asking the guy what happened. What you are not is a Bully/trouble maker and don't be! |
