I don't know if this might help but let your rewire trace the wire from the fuse box to the ignition. The day something similar happened to me thank God I saw the small smoke that came out, after switching the car off that's why the car refuse to start and started flashing key yours might have happened like that too but you might not notice

Please who knows a good Honda electrician in port Harcourt.

I was driving one night and my car suddenly turned off, the key light started blinking. I tried staring the car but it refused. I called an electrician and he managed to start the car, afterwards I observed the car refused to accelerate, the maximum it could do was 20.

I took it to an electrician the next morning and he did his diagnosis with a scanner and said it was the brain box. We changed the brain box and the car started working perfectly well.

After two days the same thing happened again, I was driving and the car suddenly turned off and the key light started flashing. He changed another brain box and it happened again after two days.

I have tried two other electricians and same thing is happening, please who have experienced this.

I need a competent electrician in port Harcourt, this issue has lingered since January 16. I just changed the fuse boxes in the car, both up and down.

My car is Honda civic 2008 American spec
I'll be so grateful for any help rendered.

That is the proper thing to do if the funds to change isn't floating around near you. The k24 gearbox isn't hard to work on. Most of these issues are tiny. So far your clutch packs are still okay the valve body can be replaced in a rebuild. If you open it up and you don't see metal particles in the sump (worn out/degraded clutches) then you have a 50% probability of just changing out the solenoid and you're good to go.

The new gear was fixed but drive Light keeps blinking on the dashboard when I'm driving, The transmission isn't smooth as before. It takes longer time to move from gear 1 to 2. And it jerks when I accelerate beyond 30mph
It also refuses to accelerate when slow down in traffic, I'll have to put more pressure on the acceleration pedal before it picks up.

When I turn off the car and restart it after few minutes, the blinking D light stops and reappears after driving for 20 minutes.

I have scanned the car twice, no fault was detected.
The old gear was working perfectly before it got bad.

I own both civic 08 and corolla 05.

Both have good fuel economy and cost of maintenance for both are affordable.

For design and aesthetics,the civic is better. Better handling(arguably). Downside of it is it's durability on the long term and resell value. The Corolla is opposite

There is no other advice than to do a VIN check first on the unit for sale then go along with a qualified technician for inspection of the unit, pay and enjoy.

The discussion continues (face lift) models (2006 and 2007) are more reliable than the EOD (2003-2005) because they fixed the issues the EODs had.
DC is one of the most reliable accord generation ever made.
Just do proper maintenance (not expensive)
For best mpg go for the 4 plugs version.
