I guess someone is ignorant of the fact that women physically abuse too. That's the height of it all. Some abuse you both physically and verbally.

I know of some men who suffer from these. Imagine, if verbal abuse from women has devastating effects, how much more incorporating physical abuse to it.

The few men that are guilty of verbal abuse do so to kinda be armed with something. Some of them know physically abusing a woman is not just right, but the best and only way to fight back at such instance would be to resort to the woman's major weapon, which is to verbally abuse. These set of men think the best way to beat these women is to beat them at their game, hence the need to fight back with verbal abuse.

I know its still the same thing we are all talking about just that people hardly talk about verbal abuse from men But Both sexes are guilty of whether physical/verbal abuse is just that one instigates the other and they are Intertwined..

I ve been abused verbally,by certain female folks,but certainly not my GF(ex), but the worst verbal abuse Is from my Dad,he practically does that to everyone, and he believes its normal to him(and I can't abuse him as well either physically or verbally and that's very painful and demeaning) , that's why I ve been trying so hard to make people see to it that it is not normal. It is just as bad as physical abuse.

I think physical abuse is worse NOT verbal abuse physical abuse can be fatal, but not verbal abuse. I do believe that verbal abuse can be very damaging psychologically, and have experienced so myself, but verbal abuse doesn't translate to physical injury although it could cause stress. Physical abuse OTOH in most cases comes along with psychological harm. Depression, stress suicidal tendencies etc are possible results.

BTW I think men are far more guilty of physical abuse than women are of verbal abuse. In fact, as is seen clearly on Nairaland, men can be verbally abusive.

That's you But many people won't think the way you do when you say you want to create awareness,fine that's good BUT Men will have their own stories justifying the abuse and women will also have their reasons justifying the abuse...I watched a programme and they were interviewing people asking why they abuse physically and a man said he's just training her- imagine that kind of thought/mentality...

hahahahahaha, so what if we say beating women too is in our genes? The thing is if we can encourage men to stop beating women then we can encourage women to stop verbal abuse. Some men wont care but others do alot and it affect them even to the point of committing suicide.

ahahah Physical Abuse is actually worse than Verbal abuse Its her major form of defence just like her nails and teeth because she know she can't beat you ...But if the lady is not abusing you down to your lineage/generations she doesn't warrant Beating,, It all depends on the type of guy some are actually aggressive,,,

There are other ways to punish a lady who abuses you verbally than Beating her...
