Detailing the six criminal charges, in a post shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the anti-graft agency stated that Sirika, while being minister of aviation used his position to confer unfair advantage upon "Tianaero Nigeria Limited whose alter ego, Gabriel Tilmann is his associate, by using his position to influence the award to them, the consultancy contract for the Nigeria Air startup and extension of same for the sum of one billion, three hundred and twenty six million, seven hundred and thirty one thousand, four hundred and seventy naira, ninety seven kobo only.

“Hadi Sirika, while being minister of aviation used his position to confer unfair advantage upon Al Buraq Global Investment Ltd whose alter ego, Fatima Hadi Sirika and Jalal Sule Hamma are his daughter and son-in-law respectively, by using his position to influence the award to them, the contract for the apron extension of Katsina airport for the sum of one billion, four hundred and ninety-eight million, three hundred thousand, seven hundred and fifty naira only.

“Hadi Sirika, while being minister of aviation and in such capacity as public officer entrusted with certain capacity the sum of one billion, four hundred and ninety eight million, three hundred thousand, seven hundred and fifty naira only, by being dishonestly connected with the illegal award contract for the apron extension of Katsina airport to and for the benefit of Al Buraq Global Investment Ltd whose alter ego, Fatima Hadi Sirika and Jalal Sule Hamma are his daughter and son-in-law respectively.


“Hadi Sirika, while being minister of aviation, Fatima Hadi Sirika while being a public servant and an employee of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company, NNPC and Jalal Sule Hamma, while a public servant and an employee of Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, did knowing hold indirectly private interest in the contract for the apron extension at Katsina airport for the sum of one billion, four hundred and ninety eight million, three hundred thousand, seven hundred and fifty naira only.

“Fatima Hadi Sirika, Jalal Sule Hamma and Al Buraq Global Investment Ltd had possession of an aggregate sum of one billion, three hundred and ten million, one hundred and forty-two thousand fifty-one naira, fifteen kobo, only which sum they knew represented the proceeds of the criminal conduct of Hadi Sirika who was the minister of aviation at that time.


“Hadi Sirika, while being minister of aviation, as a public officer entrusted with certain property to the sum of one billion, three hundred and twenty-six million, seven hundred and thirty one thousand,four hundred and seventy naira, ninety seven kobo only, being connected to the illegal award of the consultancy contract for the Nigeria Air start-up and extension of same to and for the benefit of Tianaero Nigeria Limited whose alter ego is Gabriel Tilmann is his associate."

SaharaReporters reported on Thursday that Sirika pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him by the Federal Government.

His daughter and son-in-law also pleaded not guilty to the six-count charges when read to them.

Meanwhile, the trial judge, Justice Oriji, ordered that the defendants must not travel out of the country without the express permission of the court.

An aspiring doctor shoved into a Louisiana lake by friends who claimed to not know he couldn’t swim has made a remarkable recovery — and now his family is planning a legal action over the near-fatal incident, The Post has learned.

Christopher Gilbert is talking to his family and eating again less than a month after doctors described him as practically “brain dead” and put him on life support machines, according to family attorney Claudia Payne.

The 26-year-old has since been taken off life support, but is still recuperating physically and working on memory loss problems, Payne told The Post.

Gilbert spent about ten straight minutes underwater after a friend allegedly pushed him off a dock at a Farmerville restaurant on April 14 — with the group of friends bafflingly failing to pull him from the lake as he was submerged.

He might have died had it not been for the heroics of Dawson Foust, a 20-something restaurant patron not connected to the group who dove into the water to make a rescue.

Glibert’s family is now planning a civil suit against that restaurant, alleging it failed to properly restrict access to the lake despite serving alcohol.

The restaurant, identified in reports as Rhett’s Tails and Shells, declined to comment when reached by The Post.

Gilbert was planning to attend medical school before the April incident.

A video now circulating on social media shows a female undergraduate of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education Science and Technology, Ikere in Ekiti State, brutally beating a fellow student with a stick.

Despite pleas from the victim, the bully was heard saying "Let me draw blood from you easily or hardly."

The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, the same day the video surfaced on social media, and the witness who filmed the video claimed it happened on BOUESTI's campus.

According to the video's commentator, the victim is Ajayi Precious Gloria, while the perpetrator is a "very popular" Mass Communication student.

The commentator further claimed that the two were friends.

The video showed other individuals present during the assault, but none intervened to stop the attack. The reason for the attack is not yet known.

PUNCH Online reported in April that there was outrage on social media over a viral video of a female student at Lead British International School, Abuja, being bullied by her classmates.

Same month, another video depicting a separate case of bullying involving some male students in the school's uniform emerged.

Put yourself in the story. Imagine the scene. The blood-curdling screams as her ears were cut off without mercy. The pain and shame as she was endlessly gang raped by her enemies. Yes, this is an allegorical warning against turning away from God. But, I have to wonder if it is representative of how female prostitutes and adulterers were actually treated.

The loving and merciful God, Jesus presented to us , appears to be different from the Yahweh of the Jews in the Old Testament!
