I recently hosted my UK based cousin who I haven't seen in almost 14 years. I was 12 years old in 2010 when I last saw him physically although we have kept in touch through social media.

The kinds of stories he was telling me about the evil lives of Nigerians in the UK, Canada, US etc shocked me. Infidelity, fraud, prostitution is very common amongst them.

There's this account on IG hosted by a Nigerian Pastor based in Houston, Texas and his name is Dr Shola.

If you want entertainment, just follow Dr Shola's account because I suspect many of the producers in Nollywood (especially Yoruba Nollywood) are trying to produce fictionalised versions of the real life events that the good Pastor is dealing with as a marriage counselor.

I have made up my mind that if I ever japa before getting married, I will never marry a Nigerian woman abroad because they are very untrustworthy as you can see from the story below.

A knife attack has reportedly taken place inside a Sydney church just days after a man killed six people in a Westfield shopping centre.

A priest leading a service appears to have been stabbed multiple times by a man who approached him at the altar.

Footage of the alleged stabbing was shared online after apparently being captured during a livestream of the service.

New South Wales police said they were responding to the incident.

Iran state TV airs footage of fires in Chile claiming it shows destruction in “Israel”


Iranian state TV aired footage of what it claimed to be the aftermath of the country’s drone and missile strike against “Israel”. However, the BBC Monitoring team clarified that the footage is actually from a forest fire in Chile.

The BBC’s team posted screencaps of Iranian state TV footage -which it claimed was minutes ago in “Israel”- and the old footage of the fire in Chile, which date back to February 2024.

Iran fired hundreds of drones and missiles on “Israel” Saturday night, in a retaliatory strike for an earlier airstrike by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) that targeted the Iranian consular annex in Damascus, Syria which left seven Iranian revolutionary guards dead, including senior general Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a commander in the Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon.

IOF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari disclosed in a press briefing Sunday the outcomes of the Iranian assault on “Israel” - saying that 99 percent of the Iranian attacks were successfully intercepted.

He further noted that a minor portion of ballistic missiles breached the “Israeli” airspace.

Hagari highlighted that Iran's attempt to dismantle the military base in the Negev was unsuccessful, emphasizing that the missiles launched from Iraq did not breach the territory's airspace.

Joel Cauchi is not African and he's not a Muslim. If he were, they would have plastered their headlines with "Muslim man this" and "African migrant that" but he's white, so they say he has mental illness.

Iran attack: Rishi Sunak confirms Royal Air Force involvement

UK jets shot down "a number of drones" launched by Iran in its unprecedented attack on Israel last night, Rishi Sunak has said.

The prime minister called the assault by Tehran a "dangerous and unnecessary escalation", warning the "fallout for regional stability would be hard to overstate" had it been successful.

Israel said Iran launched 170 drones, more than 30 cruise missiles and at least 120 ballistic missiles early on Sunday in an attack that set off air raid sirens across the country.

Mr Sunak said: "Thanks to an international co-ordinated effort, which the UK participated in, almost all of these missiles were intercepted, saving lives not just in Israel but in neighbouring countries like Jordan as well."

He added that the UK sent "additional planes" to the region as part of operations already under way in Iraq and Syria.

"I can confirm that our planes did shoot down a number of Iranian attack drones," he said.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) had earlier confirmed that several RAF jets and air refuelling tankers had been sent to the region to "bolster Operation Shader" - the UK's existing counter-Islamic State operation in Iraq and Syria.

However, it was not clear if any drones were shot down, with government minister Victoria Atkins saying on this morning's media rounds that she is "not in a position to confirm or deny" it.

Mr Sunak is expected to join US President Joe Biden on a call with G7 leaders on Sunday amid fears of further escalation in the event of a possible Israeli counter-strike.

The assault was launched in response to a strike widely blamed on Israel on an Iranian consular building in Syria earlier this month which killed two Iranian generals.

The development threatens to become a major regional escalation after years of shadow wars fought between the two foes as the conflict in Gaza inflames decades-old tensions in the Middle East.

The only casualty of Iran's drone attack has been a 10 year old Muslim boy in the West Bank whose home was impacted by debris of a drone which was shot down by Israel's Iron Dome.

Meanwhile Jordan shut down its airspace indefinitely and Saudi Arabia is expected to do the same within the next 12 hours which means that Iran will risk having war declared on it if it violates Jordanian and Saudi airspace.

The United States has put 30,000 marines on high alert in case Israel needs any assistance.

Nigeria has a low credit rating in the international monetary system. I believe Nigeria's credit rating is "junk" status, but I'm not too sure 🤔 I'll check it out...

The Taliban’s Supreme Leader has vowed to start stoning women to death in public as he declared the fight against Western democracy will continue.

“You say it’s a violation of women’s rights when we stone them to death,” said Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada in a voice message, aired on state television over the weekend, addressing Western officials.

“But we will soon implement the punishment for adultery. We will flog women in public. We will stone them to death in public,” he declared in his harshest comments since taking over Kabul in August 2021.

“These are all against your democracy but we will continue doing it. We both say we defend human rights – we do it as God’s representative and you as the devil’s.”

Afghanistan’s state TV, now under Taliban control, broadcasts voice messages purporting to be from Akhundzada, who has never been seen in public aside from a few old portraits .

He is believed to be based in southern Kandahar, the stronghold of the Taliban.

Despite promising a more moderate government, the Taliban quickly returned to harsh public punishments like public executions and floggings, similar to those from their previous rule in the late 1990s.

The United Nations has strongly criticised the Taliban and has called on the country’s rulers to halt such practices.

In his voice message, Akhundzada said that the women’s rights that the international community had been advocating for were against the Taliban’s harsh interpretation of Islamic Sharia.

“Do women want the rights that Westerners are talking about? They are against Sharia and clerics’ opinions, the clerics who toppled Western democracy,” he said.

“I told the Mujahedin that we tell the Westerners that we fought against you for 20 years and we will fight 20 and even more years against you,”[/b]he said, emphasising the need for resilience in opposing women’s rights among Taliban foot soldiers.

“As a woman, I don’t feel safe and secure in Afghanistan. Each morning starts with a barrage of notices and orders imposing restrictions and stringent rules on women, stripping away even the smallest joys and extinguishing hope for a brighter future,” she added.

“We, the women, are living in prison,” Tala said, “And the Taliban are making it smaller for us every passing day.”
