Asihanmi:
Hello House. I'm new here. Please my inquiry is urgent and important. I have just been rejected Canada study permit. Meanwhile i previously had Canadian and USA visitor's Visa. I was in Canada for vacation in January and got admission for MTEI(Master of Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation) in April. My background is computer science and i work in a financial institution with about 5 years experience. The basis of rejection were 2: Insufficient and available financial resources without working in Canada to pay tuition fees... and purpose of visit.
My morale went low when i saw these reasons because the bank account of my sponsor and mine was more than enough to cover my full tuition and living expenses.I I did paper application. Now the challenge is this, the department that i was admitted into for September 2017 does not defer admission and i am considering reapplying before July runs out. Is it worth it? I do not mind putting documents together.
what should i address and what probably went wrong in my first application?
Since i did paper application for the study permit that i was rejected should i do online application now?
or should i appeal for my student application? Gurus please help meeeeeeeeee
Is this MTEI program for Saint Mary's? If yes PM ... lets talk. I'm taking the same program

Only him could have done it for the son of a pepper grinder. He sent this wonderful family to me to support the dream.

Special thanks to TheSoj for my documents review, especially my visa SOP. I frustrate the guy die as I was asking obvious questions and he will say "I am sure you know that na". He started with me since December 2016 during application period. I appreciate your time, money, efforts, advices, sacrifices, etc towards my admission and visa application. God bless you. Sir, I have some mentee too, and I hope to pass on your simpleness and sacrificing spirit to them.

Special thanks to Yemdogg, he was the one I could easily turn to for every question when our ever present and egalitarian elder -TheSoj- think I should know the answer. You are a brother from another mother. We will together celebrate something bigger. The heavens and earth will arise to make it happen for us. We were born for greatness and nothing can stop or change it. Not even ourselves can.

Thanks to nony1 for clearly telling me what to write in available funds, tuition, etc part of a cic document. No matter your offense, I owe you this one. Thank You, God bless you.

Thanks to others mentioned before, Vvvvv, Marvel4Love and many others. You all contributed to the journey.

Advise mainly from the thread was highly useful. Y'all all were my agent during the admission and visa application. I pray God will help me to contribute greatly to this mission for a very long time like TheSoj and Justwise.

Part 12 of this thread did not pass me by. I got my visa in it. Hallelujah!!!!
This is awesome!!! Congratulations bruv. Jesus is Lord

Hello all. Salute. My document status in the CIC portal says Document - Counterfoil. The status column also says document is valid until March 2019... I applied for a 16-month masters program. This information was not there previously and so I wanted to find out from honorable members whether its safe to assume i'm getting closer to TRV approval? Thanks

For those who wish to link their paper apps online....This is a step by step approach; i ve asked how to do this severally but no one cared to answer...here it is.

(1) Go to this below listed link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/mycic.asp
(2) Click on continue to Gckey
(3) If You've already account created, login with your Username and Password otherwise Click on Sign up to go on next page and create your username, password and security questions.
(4) After creating my CIC account, click link application to this account.
(5) Then select category as Temporary residence and subcategory as Study Permit and extension.
(6) Then select Family name, given name and date of birth option.
(7) Fill your family name(surname), given name and date of birth as per Passport or application form.
(8.) Next in applicant personal info panel fill Passport information only and DO NOT FILL CITY AND COUNTRY OF BIRTH.
(9) Enter your course start date given on your offer letter exact same as that.
(10) Enter course end date as on offer letter only month and year is given so enter that only don't select the date.
(11) Enter your DLI no. same as given on the offer letter.
(12) Next search for your application.
(13) Your application will be found and can be linked.
(14) You can get real time updates on your paper application online.

I was getting errors and tried the same with mine and it worked so hopefully it ll work for everyone.

Note : In 24 hours you can try only 5 times to link your application and if you exceed that then you have to wait for 24 hours, so be careful about that.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Shonky: 10:54am On Jun 22, 2017
I understand you just go there with your passport and pay for the medical exam. They will give you a doc showing that u have done it, and then they will email the results to CIC. You will also receive an email notification from them that your results have been sent a few days after the exam.
Kowalskiq:
Thanks Bro,

Yes, it does.. What does it mean? Good or bad

Bro,
At bolded, what of those that did Upfront Medicals, how did the go about it, without receiving any email from IRCC.
Or did the print out IMM1017, from IRCC website?

I took my time to apply for this Study visa, I read vast about it, and I consulted with many gurus, and I received helped from someone very helpful, the same person that assisted me in getting admission, he was also the person that told me not to do Upfront Medicals, I didn't argue with him...

Anyways at the end of day, as the Bible says
"So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy"

Are you sure about this, app.date 12th May, med.mail 29th May?
Oh... sorry i just checked. It was 31st May rather. Submission 12th Med mail 31st

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Shonky: 9:58am On Jun 22, 2017
I guess once the application is still in process you should give it some time. Yes, you will need their email containing the medical examination instructions (IMM1017) which you have to present to the panel physician. Moreover if they had issues they would have informed you via mail...(which sometimes is not the case though). Wait patiently like we all are. Thanks
Kowalskiq:
Hello house,

I applied on 4th May, online route, I got a mail for biometric capturing almost immediately, which I have since done.
I also didn't do Upfront Medicals, and I haven't received any feedback from CIC on this
I have mailed them, no response.

I checked my account it says, application in process.
Shebi, I can't go and do Medicals at this stage, unless I get a mail from CIC,

House please what do guys
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Shonky: 5:51pm On Jun 21, 2017
I also applied on 12th May. I did not do my medicals upfront but was emailed to do so on 29th May. How are you able to know if your medicals were successful via the paper route? Thanks.
PureRuby:
hope soo. Mine will be 6 weeks tomorrow and I applied on 12th May. Only medicals have been updated for more than 3 weeks now.
It will end in praise by God's grace. grin
