I know this isn't funny but it's just a stark revelation of how foolishly many of us have been hiding behind that worn-out mantra of "only if I had enough capital I'd have made some meaning investments". The truth of the matter is that many of us don't have the slightest idea of what to do with a few thousands naira speak less of a couple of millions. The reason for this I wouldn't know. May be we've just become shallow-minded and idea-bereft by our routine 8am to 4pm commitments.

I am now an advocate of having the investment ideas first even before the capital comes.

Now , here it is. I have 2million naira,but no business or investment ideas. If you've got one, I'd gladly accept for free. But if the plan is solid enough that you feel it shouldn't go for a fee, I'd gladly pay after critical reviews.

I saw your post and wish to contribute to it. Yes, your friend may be right and you tell him to prove himself. I also like you as well for your effort to make findings.

Sometimes, I always like people to go beyond expectation in order to make things work out good for them. If you keep your money in the banks, both commercial and microfinance, they will also make use of it to earn big and share you a token from it. So, why cant you also do the same thing by using it yourself to make more money?

I saw your post and feel like contributing my quota. First of all, nothing gives you a strong assurance that he will not need the money in 4months, even if he told you that. Anything can come up that he will call you unexpectedly to bring the money. So what do you tell him? if he also hear that you invest the whole money at once, he will not think of the bank you mentioned first, but his money. I will advice you to keep the money in the bank for safety.

Secondly, dont look at the volume of the money and think of making a particular percentage of interest on it. This might backfire on you. So, I will like you to think and rethink of the family ties.

From my point of view, I can see that you really need some money in anyway. I believe in taking risk as a young businessman with focus, but not all risk yield a good result.

In this case, I can only advice you spare up to N50,000 aside and invest it. If you are making a profit from it along the line of his coming back for the money, he might also want to re-establish you in a big form.

I am a graduate,managing myself in one private school,I know I'm good at teaching (mathematics/further mathematics and physics) but I'm being over-used and under-paid (less than #23,000).
I am planning of leaving at the expiration of the third term(July),by then I would have been able to save little money.
I want to know if there is any business I can invest not more than #30,000 on with little returns to keep the body,spirit and soul together.Till I find a better option
