The German government rejected Mr Fani-Kayode’s nomination due to his “erratic behaviour” and divisive, ethnocentric and tribalistic comments.

Germany has rejected Femi Fani-Kayode’s ambassadorial posting over rabid ethnic and religious slurs, Peoples Gazette can exclusively report.
President Bola Tinubu, on March 6, approved the posting of the former minister to a Central European country as an ambassador-designate. However, The Gazette exclusively learnt on Sunday that the German government rejected Mr Fani-Kayode’s posting to the country on March 13, 2026.

The German government said it rejected Mr Fani-Kayode’s nomination due to his “erratic behaviour, controversial past statements, particularly his divisive ethnocentric, tribalistic, and religious fundamentalist comments in Nigeria”, which the European country said was “destabilising”...........

I understand this. However the rate of degradation depends on how you use it. I was using an Ecoflow Delta 2 power station with 1kw lithium battery before I went solar. I was using it every night yet it has lasted me three years and still powers my 100w fan for 9 hours. So I am optimistic my solar lithium battery will give me up to 7 years of use.

I agree, with proper management like avoiding deep discharges and using good inverter/charge controller. Getting 5–7 years out of a lithium battery is realistic.

Why? Is it because of the battery losing charge or the solar panels. Remember I am using lithium batteries and not tubular.

Lithium batteries still degrade like any other battery, they just degrade slower.
Yes lithium batteries are better than tubular/lead-acid, but they’re not immune to wear.

Yes, I turn off my freezer by 5pm to reduce load at night since power is drawn from the battery. Most mornings I wake up with the battery at 50 to 58 percent charge remaining. Before 2 pm the battery gets fully charged again.
It's really awesome.

As time goes on, you'll have to turn off even more appliances at night. The solar in your house can’t substitute for electricity from the grid.
