Keep the celebrations and spending at una own burial. 😆🤣
I wonder how many times una throw him celebrations and gifts when he was alive.

No sensible person goes with the opinions of the majority.
This is why few individuals hold the wealth of billions because they think differently from you spreadsheet dumbos. I don't care if the whole world hold a contrary opinion to mine. All I need is inner conviction.
If you read my responses you will see where I mentioned that the immediate elder brother has given us the go ahead to hold a proper wake keep for our late friend. Every other piece of shit can go to hell.

Again, that brings the question to common sense.
Why spend money when the person you are spending for doesn't know?
Let them hold off and spend those monies on their own burials....
Afterall some people build their grave when alive
Who told you our late friend won't know of all our efforts to give him a proper befitting funeral? The only way to honor the dead is to give them a befitting burial.
A human should never be buried like an ant.
The pyramids of Egypt was erected to honor the dead.
You think you are more enlightened than the ancient Egyptian pharaohs?
Who d hell do you think you are?

Poverty has distorted your perception to the extent you interpret every act of comfort as leisure. Would you assemble accomplished individuals in a place without making plans for them to be comfortable? What if they decide to stay away?

Thank God, the immediate elder brother was sensible and has given us go ahead to hold the wake keep, if not I would have slept comfortably in my house on that day angry

I wasn't trying to shut you up.

At your late 30s and early 40s it's a tragedy you haven't outgrown your acquired foolishness.

You're trying to usurp and dictate how a family will grieve their own son because you have an animal impulse for alcohol and party and lack the solemnity to acknowledge grief.

I know you're already in your 40s but it's not too late for your mother to consider late term abortion for you.

We the sane and sober demand your exit from the face of the earth.

Social misfit.
You are a compound fool who was raised in a broken home where etiquette was never taught.
Our late friend will be given a befitting wake keep the way we deem fit, the way he would have loved it to be. You dumbos can go n die. Nobody loved our late friend more than we do.

You people are insensitive, Child like and immature.
Why throwing party in guise of wake keeping in a family that's mourning for a live cut short?
And so called friends are threatened to abandon the burial plans for the family to do what they like. Before nko, it's the families right to do and plan as they seem fit and lastly you don't have any grounds at all to disregard the family and go ahead with the party.
If we want to act insensitive we will all be in our houses and enjoy sleep for the night. Do you think it's easy to abandon the comfort of our homes to spend the night outside for our late friend.
None of the family members knows our friend more than we do.
His immediate elder brother has given us go ahead to hold the wake keep, every other of his relatives can go and die

The family has little or no control over you guys, you need no fund from the family so I think you guys can go ahead with your plans.

You have shown respect to the family by informing them about the event. He was their son and he was also your friend.

However, keep the celebration on a low key. Drinks, food, DJ and others are fine by me. You can also take it away from his residence.
You have spoken well brother, you are a sensible breed. Thanks

If I were a member of his family I will blow y'all heads off if you gather.

What nonsense is this?
How old are you people to be thinking like this?

Y'all want to make merry so that you can drink and get high and probably invite some harlots to dance with.
This your post dey vex me gan I swear
What village do you all crawl out from for fuks sake. DJ's are not always used during celebrations, or for playing loud music
who will do the lighting? Who will provide generator?
Who will bring microphones and speakers for the gathering.

Doe it include the people of Edo state?
What about the people of Plateau state ?

Tragically we lost a close friend to the cold hands of death who passed away in a ghastly motor accident.

He was in his late thirties to early forties, unmarried, no child, and a Christian from the North west.

In solidarity, we his friends, proposed to hold a formal wake keep for him at his Abuja residence and promptly began the preparation process. This included securing the services of a DJ and arranging refreshments for the gathering.

Certain members of his family objected to the idea of the wake keep, contending that it was inappropriate for us to engage in partying and funfair following the untimely passing of their loved one. They insisted we limit the gathering to just a public address system and a choir to sing, nothing more.

Some of our friends are threatening to hands-off and withdraw their involvement from everything about the funeral including not attending the burial and allow the family members do whatever that pleases them.
Others are of the opinion that we should ignore the family members and go ahead with our plans since we are going to be paying respect to our late friend and not members of his family.

What do you guys think?

Unfortunately, we all know that nothing will come out of this back and forth trial, no money will be returned or recovered at the end of the day.
Any money recovered will be re-looted and the circle continues.
Until we begin to reject leaders with questionable characters whose lives are full of lies nothing will work

You don't have inner working in this particular instance. You based your write-up on your past experiences.

Cut this govt some slacks and be cheerfully optimistic.

I was not disputing your experience but not relevant in this particular scenario.
Any inner working that is not fair or favors the majority is definitely anti-people. Nigeria is blessed with so much abundance of Natural an human resources that majority of Nigerians shouldn't be suffering hardship and languishing in poverty.

Most "spiritualists" will send you on a fruitless journey unless you know one who you can trust.
As for your dad, he probably saw that non of you is strong enough for the task.

Don't you think that undermining every decision made by FG, without having inner working knowledge, is quite unfair ?
What do you mean by the bolded? Is government now operating in secrecy like a cult?My criticism is largely influenced by my personal experiences.
I am a contractor and I can tell you for free that if you don't know someone who knows someone who knows someone, no matter how viable your proposals are you will never get any contract awarded to your company. Same thing happens in government recruitments.

That particular friend, 3 months before he died, I saw him die in the die (by fire)

I woke up, it felt so real that I had to chat him on Facebook that early morning and told him to be careful... 3 months later, he was shot dead by cultists who were looking for his brother.

Since then I've had many dreams of people dying, but they are still alive over a year now.

My question is, where does this dreams really come from?
The ability to dream about future events is a gift just like discernment, nobody can accurately predict its origin or source and nobody can deny its existence.
The world is deep, there's alot we don't have answers to.

As a Nigerian, what do you actually want ?
A country where our natural resources doesn't end up the pockets of select few at the detriment of the people.
A country where every citizen is given an equal opportunity and an impartial platform to thrive irrespective of their ethnicity, religion or political affiliations.
A country where political office holders obey the rulings of our courts and the constitution reigns Supreme.

Seeing a dead relative or friend in the dream is not your brain playing back memories or making up events.
Death doesn't exist in the dream world.
When you dream about a dead person its a revelation of what would happen in the future if the person was still living
Politics / Re: President Tinubu Approves Establishment Of National Health Fellows Programme by shortgun(m): 6:56pm On Apr 08
Nonsense!
Instead of making the existing clinics and hospitals functional Tinubu wants to spend scarce resources on training some imaginary people just to create an avenue to loot our national purse.
