Faceboook on Friday responded to solve its users’ call for a “dislike” button, in the form of six new emoji. Speaking on the latest development, Mark Zuckerberg, Chief Executive Officer, Facebook, noted that for a long time that the feature wouldn’t be integrated in the “dislike” button that many people had asked for. Zuckerberg hinted last month that social media site was planning to expand the ‘Like button’, thereby creating more ways for people to express their feelings. He disclosed that the new development is going be in form of emojis that represent ‘Haha, Yay,Love, Wow, Sad and Angry.’ According to the CEO, similar to the Like button, the reactions will appear on any post in the news feed on mobile or desktop. The number of reactions that any post has received will sit underneath the post and users will be able to see who reacted and how. Thus, to test run the latest development, the site will start rolling out the feature in Spain and Ireland and once the buttons are rolled out to a users’ feed, there’ll be no way of turning them off. Hours after she was finally released from the clutches of her abductors, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Nwosu, the wife of the Deputy Managing Director of The Sun Newspapers, Mr. Steve Nwosu, on Friday said she was supposed to die. According to Nwosu, who was kept hostage for four days, the kidnappers had told her that they were actually paid to kill her. She also said the kidnappers had all complained of unemployment in the country and that some of them even claimed to be graduates. She said, "When I got there, they told me that somebody paid for my death. It was stated that they were hired to kill me. I don’t know yet." Recounting her tortuous ordeal she said, "They came into my house packed some things; jewelries, wristwatches and gold. From there they took me away. "They took me to their camp. They took me away in a boat. I was put in the jungle not in a room. It was in the bush that I spent three nights until I was released. At the jungle my face was not covered. "If it was a speed boat, it took them thirty minutes to get to the jungle. On my way, it was dark I could only hear noise. I could not see anything. "Throughout my stay, they asked me to eat but I refused. They were even begging me to eat. They asked me to request for any kind of food I wanted. "They did because they were expecting money but thank God something touched their heart. And now I am alive. I was the only person there. "At a point I was begging them to please release me. They told me that my husband didn’t want to pay. I told them that my husband does not have money that he is a journalist. "I was begging them all the while, especially the one that was beside me. I told him to plead with his brothers. He said he was going to try. "When I learnt that I was going home I was so happy. The one that was communicating with my husband called me and begged me to eat that he heard that I didn’t want to eat. " It was in the process of begging me that he told me that I would be going home on Thursday. After he told me I could not close my eyes again. When night came my heart was at home already. "They told me that I should hold on that they don’t want to bring me out in the day light. When night came they dropped me under the FESTAC Town new bridge around 2:15am. "They did not give me money for transport because they knew someone would be waiting for me there. The only thing that they gave me was a phone that when I get to the land I should call my husband." Despite her experience, Mrs. Nwosu, who is known as an avid philanthropist, said her abduction and subsequent release would not stop her from rendering help to people. She said, "This will not stop me from doing what I do best, which is helping people. I will continue to do good. "I thank God and every other person that played a role in my freedom. I thank all Nigerians. Irrespective of what happened, I will keep doing good. "I believe that the good I am doing will surely get me to higher place. Many times, that goodness turns sour, I will encourage people to not be weighed down by how people pay back goodness. "I don’t know why they treated me the way they did but I strongly believe that it was prayer that was at work. It was God that made them treat me nicely. But criminals will always be criminals”. Edo State Governor and Chairman of the National Economic Council (NEC) Ad-hoc Committee on the management of the Excess Crude Account (ECA) and related federation accounts issues, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has said that the Managers of the Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) could not account for $700 million out of the $1billion contributed for the fund. Oshiomhole who spoke to State House Correspondents at the Presidential Villa after a meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday night claimed that records made available to his committee showed that only $300 million was left in the fund. This is contrary to the claims made by the Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), Uche Orji that the $1 billion seed fund had been invested and generated a profit of N15.7m into government coffers. Oshiomhole however disclosed that the report submitted to his committee only reflected $300 million with the explanation that the money had been invested in the Second Niger Bridge and Abuja-Kaduna rail. He however pointed out that the former Finance Minister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, had earlier told the world that the Abuja-Kaduna rail was financed by a Chinese loan. He said "I reported to the media that the Sovereign Wealth people in their report to us, which I have in black and white, showed clearly that they have only $300 million left in the Sovereign Wealth Fund account. "We have it in black and white and I can publish it if anybody wants to deny that because it was not submitted to me secretly. It was submitted at plenary of the committee. "And then we asked, because I knew that the fund was $1 billion, what was done with $700 million. And they said they have made some investments. "We asked them what they invested in and they said the Second Niger Bridge and partially in Kaduna-Abuja rail. That is what they said and I was not alone there. We were about five governors and it was a full plenary. But we know that the Kaduna-Abuja rail was funded with Chinese loan, which even Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala spoke about, when they said the loan from China was not used for Lagos, she said it was for Kaduna-Abuja." He also blamed the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan for scaring away foreign investors in the agricultural sector by granting waivers to rice importers. According to him, foreign investors into rice farming in his state folded up because of waivers granted rice importers as they could not compete with cheaper products imported into the country.
