Poetry is trampled upon In Nigeria to a spoilt orientation of what poetry is, Everyone at a certain period in life has written or recited a poem unconsciously. have you ever sang softly for a crying baby just to placate his screams or make him sleep? that's a wing of poetry called "lullaby".
Rap is more appreciated due to the razzmatazz and hullabaloo involved. so, I will say it's a societal disorientation sandwiched In intellectual indolence. people love the noise and gesticulations associated with rap while they loathe the Tranquil and ethereal Aura of poetry. hence the tag " boring"
