The slow tempo of Man U is diabolical, it happens all the time.
You see westham with quick one touches and crossing from everywhere just to get something to attack.

Ole's lack of ability to improve wan bisska on crossing and his poor substitutions is very worrying

Fred's 1st touch has always been bad, wonder what he does during training. There has been suggestions of lindelof filling that DM spot for now except we were able to get kalvin philips or neves before the transfer window closes.

And the issue of our attackers dropping deep to join the play isn't really about Fred poor passing, it's the way OLE set-up the team to play,,, it was more like a 3-5-2 formation, with greenwood and Fernandes as the two strikers. The plan was to play the ball behind wolves defence from deep in midfielder, that's y u have pogba dropping to join the play or play through the wing backs that's is sancho and james(sometimes shaw). Now the reason y we struggle to hold on to possession was;
1. Of course, Fred terrible passing
2. Wan bissaka lack of ideas on the ball
3. Sancho and James' inability to dribble and draw defenders thereby creating space for their teammates, e g luke shaw

Trust me if Man U has someone like neves or kalvin philips the midfield gets more dynamic.
See the days of carrick and scholes, do you see ronaldo or van nistelrooy always dropping deep. A solid DM screens the defence and feeds the attack with quick passes, emphasis on quick passes. The tactics of ole was not working today but I dont think the plan was for bruno and co to come so deep to get the ball.

When there are enough bodies close to the penalty you will increase your chances of scoring. Fred is always passing sideways or backwards slowly and imprecisely . He can't float a precise long yard attacking pass thats why we need to buy or try a new person. Passing skills are everything, if a player lacks it, he ruins the best formation especially a very important position of a DM.

Problem is fred's first touch and passing. I will prefer someone who can pass quickly and better and shoot. Look at how our defence was battered today, so what is good about fred. If we can't buy a new DM, lets try somebody else. You saw our attackers coming deep to pick the ball, the midfield was struggling thanks to Mr fred. The midfield is slow and not creative when he plays.

Man utd is not the only team that has played too many games. Man utd's defending has always been dreadful. Trust me if Ole shouts more and stand on the touch line, it can help a bit. Instructing your defenders on positioning and telling wingers to drop back to help defend will have helped today. The 4 goals were totally avoidable

Moving the ball slowly and sideways is not from tiredness, it has always been happening.
Rashford terrible decisions in possession is not tiredness.
Mc tominay passing sideways and taking 1 billion touches and inaccurate passes is not tiredness

Fred and Mctominay are a disaster in that middle

As Roma played a lot of one touch football thats why they looked dangerous.

That just sums up Man Utd's entire season. Nearly! Next season they will try again first in ECL then EL then that's it. What a vicious cycle.

When we have better central midfielders, far better than Mctominay and Fred we can win EPL. If we try again next season with James, Fred, Mctominay we will not win anything.
