Matic is old and Fred is an Aba-made CM who can't pass and isn't a tenacious ball winner. Instead of Man Utd to get a proper CDM, they went to buy VDB.

I hope United gets one of their target CDMs in this January window, and you'll see change.

The best players do the simple things well, Rashford wants to dribble, cut inside and shoot all the time. Passing and moving is a simpler game, you don't have to dribble and dwell too much on the ball and loose a scoring opportunity. He should work on himself.

A lot of the things he does is not even coaching, it is just basics that an academy player understands.
Shoots from abnormal positions, runs into traffic, will pass late or not pass, lazy a lot of times, common sense is lacking all the time. He can't bend his runs well again and beat the off side trap.
Not good enough, he looks like a flash in the pan. A one trick pony, just runs with no sense.

Rashford really worries me.
He may be sold sooner or later.
Fast runner but terrible decision making.
His development has stunted

His game today is much better. If United had more bodies, something good would have come off his crosses after CR7 missed.

The team is generally bad on this game.

I just feel we need a full back who can attack and defend. When you cant find joy in the middle zest is needed from the wings. The team was terrible in the first half, 2nd half is better.

You are right, the middle lacks creativity.
Surprised really at ralf's slow start, he is known for fast attacking football, I know it is too early but there is no small sign of improvement input from him

The system is not causing slow tempo and backward passing. Our players need to look at themself in the mirror. They are very very lazy, some are not good enough namely bissaka and mc tominay and fred.
Wan bissaka looks clueless when he is in attack it affects us a lot. Greenwood is greedy, sancho not really really sharp.

Maguire needs to be benched
He can't head to score
He is slow
Basic defending is absent in his game
He lacks leadership skill, not a captain material
