Hi gurus in the house, Urgent help needed. I am applying for visitor's visa for my mum and my husband who is British is her sponsor and also covering cost of the trip.

I opted for the self upload option.
Not sure what to include under the Accommodation evidence as she will be staying with us and I have already uploaded evidence of our house under the sponsor evidence.

Also, there is a category for family evidence? I included our marriage certificate and my birth certificate under sponsor evidence to show that a genuine relationship exists between my mum and my husband. So not sure what to include under family evidence. Is there any need to include my mum's marriage certificate even though she will be travelling alone under the family evidence?


Do u get penalised if u include same document under two categories that might overlap? Like lets say, including the my marriage certificate and my birth certificate under sponsor evidence and also under family evidence.

Priority service : 212 pounds

Online application : august 6th
Biometrics and interview : august 8th
Sheffield email : august 13
Passport returned :august 16

The courier service delivered my visa today cos I paid for courier service..

Plz, Has anyone here paid visa fee and IHS recently with a pound account? What amount was deducted for d visa and IHS respectively? I hear the payment gateway is in dollars but I intend paying with my UK debit card ...

TLS mail that decision has been made: Aug 25 8:27am
TLS mail for collection : Aug 25 @ 05:49pm
Ukvi website update : Aug 25 (app decided on Aug 22)
Standard app at Ikeja

I picked up my tier 4 visa today...

If its 23, u ll get mail from TLS on Monday....
Mine was decided on Tuesday 22, I got two mails from TLS yesterday....

U shud av gotten mail from TLS by now....I got mail from TLS yesterday morning abt decision made...and by afternoon ukvi updated to decided on Aug 22.... In d evening TLS sent me pick up mail....

This is my timeline so far:

Biometrics : July 13
Sheffield email: July 20
TLS decision made email: Aug 25 @ 08:27a.m

My ref number is still not recognised on d ukvi website, guess they haven't gotten around to update....

I haven't gotten a pickup up mail from TLS yet....
I hope for a positive decision ....

I guess it was an update delay from UKVI. Mine was same too until 2 minutes ago. I received the TLS mail around 8.45am this morning and my GWF number was unrecognized everytime I checked up till like 12.40pm.
I tried now at 12.43pm and it finally recognized it. My application was decided on August 21.
Try Checking yours again.

I applied on the 24th of July. Sheffield email August 7, then this on the 17th, and I didn't pay for priority.

Oh....OK...I didn't get that email.....mine makes 29 working days today.... Am sure u still av some time until ur course starts? Am going for a professional course and resumption date is Aug 29.... Bcu has given me additional two weeks of grace within which to resume though...

Let's see wat happens b4 d week runs out....if I get any update, I ll post it here, hope u do the same...best of luck!

It's already 23 working days. Have you gotten decision mail yet? If not try contacting them because it has exceeded normal visa application timeline. Secondly are you a sponsored student by government or any organization?

I already tried contacting them via phone, last week, they said, they ll check d reason for the delay and get back to me via email, I haven't heard back...there re ppl here who have applied b4 me and havent gotten a decision yet...it seems to be a general problem...

And to answer ur second question, am not sponsored by govt or any org...I used my dads acct to show maintenance funds, and I attached a consent letter and my birth certificate.... Thank u

Please approve or disapprove as being correct!!

1. Someone said the intended date of travel and the school resumption date is always taken into consideration when issuing Tier 4 visa.
2. Tier 4 visa are issued for 30days validity period
3. The visa starts reading from the date of issue
4. Hence, the visa will not be issued until AT LEAST 30 days pre-departure or pre-resumption

A decision will soon be made. I've got the same on my page too. Once it is, the other options will be marked or might skip to passport returned.

I noticed the change too on my TLS page...but I tink TLS just changed d names. ..don't tink dere is much to it...

Honestly I've tried it and what I get is 'the Reference number has not been recognised'.
However, kindly get the link she used and post it here Pls. Also it will be good to know which of the references gave her the status.

Patience is the key....I know three Nigeria based applicants that have used DAT link within d last two months and they all said the same thing.... "That it ll continue to show reference number not recognised until a decision has been made" at which point, it shows "decided" ....so u just av to keep trying .... Its d gwf

I actually applied in Abuja and did my biometrics on 6th July. No decision mail yet.

I see the conflict you mean. In the mail my school sent for my pre-CAS information confirmation, My school advised to deposit more than is required in the account to be used. It's happened to someone I know before which is why I'm particular about this. The rate on application date was what was used which is why I say the rules should be followed to the letter. But if it works any other way for someone else, what more can I say? Based on the application in question, Application was made/submitted on July 10, decision made on Aug 3. Oanda Rate for July 10 was what was used. But seeing as it worked otherwise for some others, I'd just say 'may the odds be in your favor'.

Hi...sorry, u submitted on 10 and decision was made on d 3rd of Aug? July 10? Is dat d date of the online submission or biometrics? Did u get a mail from TLS? I applied mid july....still waiting...mine is 16 days today..
