Christianity EtcRe: ENDSARS: Is There Nothing The Religious Leaders Can Do?? by Sibe007(op): 5:55am On Dec 05, 2017
GoodMuyis:
Religious leaders have no power to enforce law, and it would be wrong for them to be leading protest against government.

By default religious leader are moral leader/teachers not activitist and should be diplomatic in dealing with public issues.

If they are to act on SARS issues it's not going to be by leading protest or encouraging people against government, rather they follow proper channel and that will be after proper investigation.
Please read again. No one is asking Religious to leaders to lead protests, all the OP asked is what they can do with all the Power and Following they enjoy.

When SARS are doing unjust and immoral things, are these Moral leaders/Teachers supposed to be silent?

Competition
As of today, there are loads of smoke fish dealers/middle men retailers that will serve as direct competition to you. To remain competitively in this Business, you will need to differentiate your offering (product delivery), which could be in the Packaging, quality and hygienic preparation, delivery plans, etc.
Summary
As much emphasis is being placed on the need to cut down on meat intake, many are and still will be embracing the option of having fish instead, thus leading to an increased demand which when supply is made, can create an opportunity for wealth creation.

Introduction: There are a number of fish markets in Lagos and some other parts of Nigeria. One can buy these smoked dried fishes from these traders in the rural areas at a very affordable rate and can go repackage and resell in bigger cities, stores and malls.
In the riverine areas in Lagos, and the Niger Delta, these smoked dried fishes can be purchased for about 1200 – 1500 naira and could be sold for about 3000-4000 naira in the Cities and other mega stores.
You could also get your own oven or dehydrating apparatus so that you could increase your profit margin by only having to buy the fresh fish from the fish farmers, then you do the rest of the process, the drying, and packaging.

Christianity EtcENDSARS: Is There Nothing The Religious Leaders Can Do?? by Sibe007(op):
The Religious leaders can do more with the Platform they have and the Population of people they lead.

If I tweet and sign all the petitions I can, on behalf of the loads of oppressed Nigerian youths by the FSARs (A unit of the Nigerian police force), the impact I can get may be infinitesimal.

If I were to be a Religious Leader with Millions of people in my organization, I am sure I might be able to make great use of such privilege and platform to accept responsibility and speak up to drive change.

A few Men in Nigeria, collectively lead over 50 million 'Christians'. What are they doing with all that power. Our Present VP served as a Minister under one of these Men.

As millions of Nigerian youths cry out on social media against Police Injustice, Brutality and inhumanity, is there truly nothing that these few Religious Leaders can dohuh

If they cannot be given proper uniforms with name tags or be given proper training and reorientation, then they should be srapped ASAP, other wise any criminal can buy black trouser and black TShirt with SARS written on it, then start harassing and extorting from anyone they see...

How many more people need to die or be robbed in daylight by people wearing Black on black before people with more following speak up.

Is there truly nothing that these few Religious Leaders can dohuh

Steps to take
Find the piece of land
Purchase the shipping container
Design to plan (Cut windows, fix installations and other fittings)
Deliver to site (Land)
Finish the Container home
Advertise for Rent.
Competition
This is still very new in Nigeria; as the few places you may see something of this sort are in construction yards where they have been used to do temporary offices/lounges for workers on the yard. Going into this business of setting up container homes for rent, can be very lucrative if one properly differentiates the product/service being delivered through offering good quality interior designs and finishing

BusinessRe: New Project: 52 Weeks / 52 Business Start-up Ideas For Nigeria by Sibe007(op): 9:12am On Nov 23, 2017
If you have a piece of land in a reasonably good location or if you can enter into an agreement with the land owner to setup a shipping container home on their land then agree on splitting the revenue that comes from the rents, you will have provided a home, contributed in helping the Housing deficit in Nigeria, as well as provide a channel for revenue generation.

Some advantages of Shipping container homes
Cost saving – They are cheaper.
Speed - they can be built with incredible speed.
Environmentally friendly; for every shipping container upcycled we are saving around 3500KG of steel.

NB: Be sure to know what the law in your city says as regards to permits and building development so you can make the right applications and necessary documentations. Due to the nature of these shipping containers, one will need to properly insulate it and make sufficient consideration for ventilation.

Introduction: I have always been fascinated with the cool designs I have come across on the internet for housing made out of shipping containers. Yes, you can get a House designed which could be put out for rent, from using one or two shipping containers depending on the number of rooms your design accommodates. These containers can be bought directly from their manufacturers outside Nigeria and could be shipped in and delivered to you. A quicker and cheaper alternative will be to go to the ports in Nigeria (Apapa, Onne, etc) even all the non-functional ones. You will be able to find shipping containers that are no longer fit to be used in shipping goods, however they are still solid and could find application in our Container homes.

If you have no idea or have never come across the idea of shipping container homes, just pause reading this, open google.com and search ‘Shipping container homes’ then click on image to view image results.

Idea 47 of 52: Container Homes Rentals

BusinessRe: New Project: 52 Weeks / 52 Business Start-up Ideas For Nigeria by Sibe007(op): 12:14am On Nov 17, 2017
It is important to note that the viability of this will vary from one city to another. Cities with a good number of corporate offices and establishments are best suitable, some worthy of note include, Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, etc.

Steps to take

– Identify your market (the customers) – Banks, Schools, Factories, Other private firms

– Find good food vendor (Caterer).

– Get your delivery agent (Yourself if you drive, a despatch rider, etc)

– Organised product catalogue and customer records.

– You can use social media to market.

– Online stores can also be used as a platform.

Competition

Seeing that food business is serious and one that almost always sell especially when the food is very well prepared (tasty), you will need to differentiate your service delivery by giving your customers a better customer service experience.

You will be competing against other food vendors, restaurants with delivery services, and in some cases you will be competing against homemade food, as some will prepare their own lunch.

Ensure you listen very well as you note customers’ orders to avoid mixing up orders, apologise where errors are made and give refunds where necessary.

Risk

– Allergies – Be sure you note if you customers have any allergies

– Ensure the food is prepared in a very hygienic way and environment

– One mishap can have huge impact on your business.

Summary

There is an opportunity to provide lunch for Nigeria’s corporate workforce and students by becoming the link between those who prepare/package the food and the end consumers.

BusinessRe: New Project: 52 Weeks / 52 Business Start-up Ideas For Nigeria by Sibe007(op): 12:13am On Nov 17, 2017
Introduction: No matter what happens, people will always eat, as it is one of the 3 basic human needs according to Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs (Food, Clothing and Shelter). Every afternoon across Nigeria, there is an opportunity to make some money through getting lunch from a food vendor to the customers (especially in Corporate organisations). Some food packages that have good market value include, Bole & Fish, Swallows + Soups, Rice (Jollof, Fried), and other side orders,

If you can organise the entire supply chain (Food vendor – Delivery Logistics – Customer) as well as the even more important customer service delivery, you can easily create a good business for yourself. This you can do by visiting the prospective customers, getting their contacts, then call them in the morning to find out if they will be needing lunch for the day, present them with the options and note their choices and preferences. By getting more customers you can get in one location (one office), can help bring down cost and improve profit margin.

NIgerian Example

You can find a fast selling product on konga or jumia, e.g, a 4000 naira Hand bag for Ladies (which includes delivery). So without even you having the bag in your personal possession, you can, with picture (s) of the Bag, advertise/market it using your own website (online store), instagram or facebook account for 4,100. You will also make the prospective buyer know how long it will take to deliver. As soon as the Buyer pays 4,100 naira, you go on to place the order on Konga or Jumia, using the delivery address as that of the customer.

Getting the Right Product (fast selling, Niche products) and Right suppliers (more reliable) is very important. If relationship is built with the supplier on the jumia or Konga site, you can request for discount based on volume of business you are attracting.

Dropshipping is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn't keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a store sells a product, it purchases the item from a third party and has it shipped directly to the customer. As a result, the merchant never sees or handles the product. (Shopify, 2017)

An example, you find a product on Amazon for 15 pounds, you add it to your ebay store for sale for 16 pounds. As soon as a customer pays/buys from your ebay store for that 16 pounds, you will then go make the order on Amazon and pay the 15 pounds. Amazon will fulfill the order by delivering to the Address you will have provided which is the address of the customer that bought from your ebay store. At the end of the day, you would have made 1 pound without holding any product.

This may not be as easy as it seem because the profit margins can be low, you will need a good volume of such transactions to make it worth your while and buying one or a very few items at a time might be more expensive as you may not enjoy whole price which would have had a positive impact on your profit margin.

Are you a student, take advantage of the lazy colleagues in your class; charge them to write their assignments.
Maintain a principle of delivering excellent services.
You must be committed to the objective of your client -be it to get the job opening, get a foreign scholarship, whatever it may be.
This is a good way to teach yourself to always deliver excellent work and get testimonials too.
Also, you get to learn a great deal through the various writing projects you take up.

How can you get started?
Keep talking about your writing services everywhere you go. Put up ads on your whatsapp status update. Tell your colleagues at work (and church) to bring their writing needs to you (for a fee).
Try this, it'll jump-start your writing business. As you evolve, you can decide what writing suits you most and charge what you want and how you want.

Summary
There are opportunities to make some money from offering various forms of writing services, which can be explored and where knowledge is deficient, there are loads of resources online that can be very helpful.

As much as this suggestion was good and had my best interest, it panned out that these platforms are saturated with freelancers of all sorts especially content writers and copywriters.
It never occurred to me that there was an easy way just staring at me all the time.
I only came to this realization when a friend offered me money to write a personal statement for his abroad application.Until then, I did this sort of writing for free. And with so much excitement.

My late granddad attended a missionary secondary school. This sort of schools were the best in his time.
Due to his brilliance, the village community sought him to write their letters or read letters sent to them from loved ones.
He was given tokens for his services. It made sense because, this served as a source of pocket money and sustenance back in school.
******
Do you know
you could start earning by offering services such as writing cover letters, resumes and business proposals?
Do you know that there are lots of people struggling with writing their own application letter?
Imagine if you're the go-to person for everything writing...you could charge on services from 2500 naira to as much as 10,000, 20,000 or more.
Yes I charged my second my client to write his business proposal for 10,000 naira.
Do you know you could charge to write essays and personal statements for people applying to schools abroad?
CVs are not one-size fits all; they are tailored to fit the intended job. You can offer services in writing professional CVs.

Even if you've never written one, you are first gifted with writing, secondly you have the Internet (which is your vault for all you'll need). Research the topic if its new to you; google samples of similar work; study and produce a stellar work for your client.

I began the business of writing when I realized I could make money with my talent, that was about 2 years ago.
Until then, I worked for free, hoping that someone will be benevolent enough to request that I write in exchange for pay.

The first advice I got on how to make money from writing was that I sign up on an online platform like fiverr and upwork as a freelance writer.

3. Competition

This is already a thing being used outside Nigeria and as common with loads of other things Nigerian businessmen venture into, it is expected that many will try this concept of outdoor noiseless dance/fitness session, and when they are turning out to be successful, others will follow.

4. Risk

Be sure to understand the entire technical setup which is not so complex, and also be sure that all relevant authorities and community stakeholders are aware and adequate clearance has been given before going into certain public environments to carry out such sessions.

Security is also very important, so it is advised that the session, if done outside, should not in any way be on a motorable/busy road, and whilst everyone will have their ears plugged in, someone or some people should be alert to make sure everyone is safe and away from harm’s way.

5. Summary
Dance/Fitness instructors can now use a few devices and the mobile phones of their clients to host or carry out their sessions wherever they desire. Interested in how all this works, do your research, ask questions and be guided before venturing in.

2. Technical Setup

● Radio transmitters and receivers
● Mobile phones
● Headphones/earplugs
● Music player

How does this work?
The trainer/instructor will connect a music player, which will serve as a music source and also a headset mic into a second input of a transmitting device. This will transmit a combination of the music and the instructor’s voice over radio frequency transmitter.

Receivers

The trainees/participants will connect by using the radio receiver functionality in their mobile phones, so they will all be hearing same thing at same time. They can also all carry a receiver device, which they can wear around their waist.

This transmission and reception can also be achieved via Wi-Fi, though this would be contingent on the strength of the Internet service signal at the location. There is also the option of using Bluetooth headphones. All these can be explored and experimented.

BusinessRe: New Project: 52 Weeks / 52 Business Start-up Ideas For Nigeria by Sibe007(op): 11:40pm On Oct 25, 2017
With this setup, you can have your session anywhere, even in a corporate business environment, as little noise will be heard except for gasps, instructions from the instructor, shoe stumps etc.

So, with the right permissions, you can schedule your session at a public space, leisure park, plus your rollup banner advertising your business and contact details. People seeing you and your group dancing to no audible music, will definitely arouse attention, and when they come to inquire what is happening, they will see your roll up banner and can register to be a part of your group.
