Too bad They won't allow him go have much needed retirement rest. |
Police Reforms badly needed. Technology can also greatly enhance efficiency of policing the Nation But the Universities and other research institutes have a part to play, but sadly are underfunded (Strikes). |
Thoughts on creating more jobs in Nigeria ======== Irrespective of who becomes President of Nigeria, things will remain the same if the right things are not done. Jobs and more jobs will be created if we did the right things. It would cause some disruptions but in the long run, the gains will be evident to all. I will give some examples. ======= Food hygiene certification and inspection ======= Create a website /portal, link to a database, and have all food vendors (fast food joints, restaurants, eateries, mobile vendors, etc) rated there. Inspectors will inspect, certify and rate the business. Everyone in food business would need to show the food hygiene inspectors their processes and the environment where the food is being prepared. ==== The inspectors will come unannounced. There 'll be guidelines or standards made public that will be used in ratings. The public can check the hygiene ratings online via the website or portal created which is linked to the database. Or USSD app can be made to enable the public check for hygiene ratings of food vendors even offline. ========= No hygiene certificate, No food business. ========== Disruptive, Yes, but necessary.... ======== Direct Jobs to be created: ======== Food hygiene inspectors Licensed hygiene cert trainers Database developers & admin Web developers and managers Mobile App developers Network security Public awareness (volunteers) Social media managers Customer service Etc. ======= Funding Sources ======= Payments (relatively affordable) from food vendors for registration and hygiene certification. - They go to register specify their address, and would be visited unannounced by inspectors. ===== Penalty or fines for vendors with no hygiene certification. ======== Possible Challenges ======= Hygiene inspectors can be bribed or influenced to give higher ratings or pass a food business that should be failed. Hygiene inspectors Intimidation or work interference by VVIPs. Ratings manipulation thru the web managers. ==== These are workable. Tough changes must be made, many will kick against it, but the gains (Jobs, public safety, less burden on healthcare) far outweighs the loss ===== Imagine paying your own money to buy the food that will make you sick. It doesn't have to remain so. A better Nigeria is possible.

Ebis, why are you still single? I am single because I am still working on myself, to become a better version of myself, to improve my income sources and general resourcefulness, so that by the time i eventually get to see my Spec, I should be that my Spec’s Spec. ========== That is, when I eventually meet someone I can call my Spec, I should be also worthy of the other person, of being their own Spec. I normally ask this question, Are you your Spec’s Spec. ========== I tell young people about being single, or those who cry that they were heartbroken. Look at it differently. You are unhappy someone broke your heart, were you even ready? People will leave or break your heart maybe simply because you were not their spec. ========== Sad as it might seem, maybe the person happens to be your spec, but unfortunately for you, that your spec didn’t find you to be their spec, so what do you do? Go work on yourself, take some time out to work on yourself, don’t hurry into a new relationship ========== So that the next time you are opportuned to find someone that your heart and intellects tell you that is your spec, you won’t get disappointed again if this new found spec finds in you, a worthy partner (their own Spec). ========== So the time to be single is the time to grow, develop yourself, prepare for the opportunity or the challenges that comes with you growing and moulding yourself, so that when you eventually meet the person who ticks all or most of your boxes, you also would tick theirs. ========== Many people need to focus on themselves, grow and keep building, rather than grieve over those who they felt were suitable partners but left them. There is more to this life, Find Yourself, Find Your Calling, and Get Busy. Cheers and best wishes

Looking off |
A change will be a welcome idea. We have seen what Wike can do and has done. Some of the road surfaces don't last and work not very well done (Eastern by pass roundabout whenever it rains). Can't say much of what Wike has done for Youth unemployment and skills acquisition. Rivers State can be better, he can pressurise the FG and invite Private investors to revamp the PH Ports. |
psucc:Truly, it would turn out worse in comparison with others, if some of these Stats are carried out again for 2018. |
Sharpshooota:It could be an error, plus it says, PERCEPTION, so it is based on some.people's perspective, may or may not be the reality. |

It is not how much you make from oil that counts but how you use it to improve the welfare of citizens. Nigeria vs other Nations. #WhoOilDonEpp? -@SMYfoundation

On teenage Suicide,Toxic, loveless and Self Centered Parenting with Religion and Culture as excuse. ===================== By @WayerKelvin Church was very sad and disgusting for me today. I’d share So apparently, news hit the church that a teenage member of the church had committed suicide. I usually help out with the teenage class so I know the girl very well. A very smart and vibrant girl. When I heard this news, It really broke me. As expected, we had unusual visitors in the teenage class today. Mothers who came to “counsel” the other teenagers in a bid to get them in the right state of mind and avoid another loss. It was just so funny how these women failed to address the issue. They basically came to justify their harsh and brutal style of parenting. Apparently they heard the girl’s mother was always beating her and maltreating her and that might have contributed to her killing herself. These women went on about how as teenagers they need to understand that their parents want the best for them and that when they beat and correct them, it’s out of love. One even mentioned that she wasn’t created to be a FRIEND to her children, that she was created to be a MOTHER. Another one contributed by saying it’s IMPOSSIBLE to be your child’s friend because children always tend to do the wrong things and you have to fight them till they get on track. If you are friendly with them, it means you are sparing the rod and definitely spoiling the child. Another one said she made sure her children never had phones till after university, that her children also didn’t have friends, she made sure she chose their course of study and did her best to make sure they excelled. Her testimony was that all her children are successful now. In general they were trying to remove all the blame from the parents and put it on the late girl. They said if she were born again, she wouldn’t have considered suicide. That she didn’t value her life enough and she didn’t have dreams. This is a 16 year old they are talking about They were telling these children that no matter how bad their parents are treating them now wasn’t up to what they experienced as children, hence they should be happy and know that there’s no parent no matter how bad that hates their child. Some of these so called “counselors”, even said “how are we even sure she wasn’t even pregnant and didn’t want to tell anybody” or had done bad and didn’t want to tell anyone so she chose suicide and I’m thinking to myself, If that’s the case, isn’t that a huge problem in itself The very annoying part was how they kept sounding it that the girl has just bought a one way ticket to hell just like that and that’s the reason they are even sad. They were telling the other teenagers that right now she’s is going to spend her eternity in hell. And to end it all, one of the coordinators said “If you like go and buy sniper and drink just because your parents are being hard on you. It’s in a tiny bottle and they sell it in Ebeano”. I know some of these might sound like things I made up but sad truth is I didn’t. I wept on my seat listening to these. There was no reference whatsoever to mental illness. NOTHING at all. The funny thing is that these women will be so confident that their children would never attempt suicide. They really think they are doing everything right and their children aren’t “foolish” enough to want to kill themselves. Our parents need a lot of education to be honest but as a more enlighten generation that we are, I urge you all to take the responsibility on yourself. Make sure you are talking to your younger ones. Show them that you care. Show them the love your parents aren’t showing them. Be the one reason your siblings want to stay alive. Watch out for them, support them and love them unconditionally. My sister is currently in school and she heard about the whole thing and we spoke briefly about it. She said why would a young girl like that think of killing herself? I explained a lot of things to her, then she admitted that she has felt that way too sometimes But she just somehow comes to her senses and gets a hold of herself. I made her PROMISE me that if she ever feels that way again, she would talk to me. To parents please be involved in your child’s life. If possible, be your child’s best friend. Don’t let culture and religion blind you. You are first human before any other thing. Show your children Immeasurable love, don’t make them go out to look for it. From reading people’s responses, I can tell some people are fed up with churches in Nigeria. I understand how it can be but I need you to know that there are also good churches. You just need to find them. |

Truly the best Jamb can do is to regulate each cafes by making sure they follow the set down rules and regulations rather than closing it entirely although they over charged me for jamb change of course but there are so much unemployment issues already there is no need to worsen it. |

Hmmm. Beware of the dangers of a single side story. There is the media reportage, and there is reality. Stay Woke |
Proofs?? So anyone can wake up and say they are the My Boys?? Well, if we start linking all these boys to their Political enablers, most of these enemies of Nigeria in Government will be behind bars. If this happens, our Polity will be better and more people will vote for Buhari. |
Lagos is on another level. When the right people are employed to man sensitive positions, you get a working system. |
How can APC manage Nigeria seeing how poorly they fare in running their own party? Incompetence exhibited across board. |
A house divided against itself |
Not all that glitters is gold. Don't be fooled by the glamour of Social media (IG). They only show the glitz and glamour, never the horror. |
Okay ![]() They sort of look alike. |
What do you ultimately want. Do you just want to travel out of Nigeria maybe for the exposure? Or you want to get to learn a skill and be very good at it. Don't waste your time and money if you just want to get the skill. You can learn all you want here in Nigeria. Be sure what you want for yourself. What do you want to be able to do. What problems do you want to be able to solve. |
Wrong. Both of them are wrong. The pastor sef no try |

Four years is too long a time to spend at any tertiary institution, only to graduate and not have sufficient skills to solve any real world problems. |
