This is illegal. How can state be charging a consumption tax again despite the vat that is being charged.
Also, we need to challenge all these tax laws before other states starts same. The AGF is useless, if not he is the one that ought to challenge this.
Lagos State will start same if this should be unchallenged, then, it won't just be bread, it will cover virtually all things we buy.
They started with church and people didn't see the evil, now they want to face the populace directly. Taxing same income or product twice is evil.

I just dey laugh. The country is broke and can't run for another 2years. They have looted the country to it's bones.....soon and very soon all these politicians will run, the ones that can escape we have his head used to play ball on the streets of Nigeria. Go mark my words.
God has used covid travel restriction to trap them but Nigerians aren't sensitive. I was expecting the anger on police during the protest to be directed at politicians killing the country.

Nigerian governments are getting desperate

Oil won't save nigeria, ideas will
They clearly lack workable ideas. Oil prices are low but they do not want to touch other natural resources like gold that's in Zamfara and Osun. Adeboye adviced Buhari on restructuring and he termed it a threat he won't succumb to. We are trapped.

Bread is the most basic food for the poor man. Yeye Bello, the poor will eat you alive very soon. Don’t worry, you think you are wicked? When you see wickedness that’s comes with hunger you will beg God to take your life. You think your hired assassins will save you?
They want to make bread a luxury, there are addictive substances they could have taxed to generate igr but it is bread the want to tax.

First it was Hell-rufire in Kaduna imposing #1000 levy on every residence of Kaduna. Now Bello followed suit. And this 2 States are APC states.

Of a truth, APC is evil
Yes, instead of Restructuring they prefer to tax the people further . There is gold in Osun and Zamfara but the hatred for ND won't allow them do anything that will affect other natural resources.

This is what you get when you make an illiterate a minister fo commerce and industry. Have these people lost all ideas on how to generate a revenue or what. Nigeria is blessed with many resources that are yet to be tapped and the are looking for 10 naira levies from bread. Let me tell that governor the possible effect of taxing a loaf of bread. When you add 50 naira to a bread that is sold at 250 naira, the burden will be transferred to the consumer and the consumer will now change his demands, may be to bond. What do you think will happen? The Baker will close the business and unemployment will increase. The company possibly pay cooperate tax, pay value added tax on the materials and now you want the to pay additional taxe on a loaf of bread. The problem is not even about paying the levies but can they account for it. The problem is 80% of our leaders are full time politicians and never own a shop. Look at president Buhari, he has never managed a kiosk for his life upon all the money he has, how will he manage Nigeria
Instead of going after Osun and Zamfara's gold, they prefer to make the common man suffer further.

Well if the regions can't grow with allocations (free money), how will taking the allocations away help? I understand that power will help industries grow but how do you produce that power and why hasn't it been done (without saying 'corruption' or 'bad government')
Lol... before allocation did they grow faster or slower than they are doing now? The honest answer to that holds the answer to your confusion.

Obama was vast in constitution law yet pressed for satanic LGBT laws. If you think certificate equate to wisdom then I pity your life. Restructuring is the way out. Oil prices are low and cannot sustain us. We need to open up doors for more fund and that may not happen if the right incentive isn't there. Restructuring will ensure Zamfara releases her Gold.

I will post a link to the news of how BH was ignited by extra judicial killings. It was posted on Nairaland few weeks back.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2010/2/9/video-shows-nigeria-executions

Police and army brutality triggered BH but see what has become of it. Those affected couldn't even protest against police brutality or the insecurity it birthed. Where are then going with pampering of terrorists and de-radicalization?
Foreign Affairs / Re: Is It True Jerry Rawlings Invited Ghana's Corrupt Leaders And Bombed Them All? by Sibrah: 6:12pm On Nov 12, 2020
If true, it worked to some extent. Nigeria's own is not possible because of division. Anybody who tries it better be a Fulani man or his entire tribe should be ready to donate 2 million souls for his sins against the oppressors.
Their guiding demons in Nigeria are just too much.

Oya, everyone keeps saying the Nigerian government isn't or can't develop Nigeria. If you had your way, how would the process be done.
I'm wondering if the skillset is in Nigeria at all, because many of the suggestions I see on here won't work.

I'm not expert but I will challenge suggestions for feasibility.
Like the brilliant guy above opined, restructuring is a good step. Following human psychology pattern, people need to be five the right environment for fair competition. since the above poster has mentioned that, let me talk about another approach.

It is the productivity approach. It is simple, yet complicated by competition and variety. Give people the atmosphere for productivity and watch them perform better. Take power for example, industries need it at a competitive price. If you sell power too high to industries then they will end up with inflated and uncompetitive products that cannot compete against those produced with cheaper power supply. Development isn't by channelling allocation to regions but by letting people grow into it.

The problem remains Islam. They want to use another mans life to practice their own beliefs and are conquest oriented. They don't appeal and leave. They conquer.
How can we justify destruction of another man's property because it is forbidden in your own religion? If As a christian, drugs is forbidden, I simply avoid it and push for it to be regulated in terms how it is displayed. They could have made a law to regulate the advertising and sales of alcohols instead of saying it forbidden in Islam therefore non-islamists have no right to consume it. You have to be careful with giving muslims a step in. You give them a step in and they send you packing.

What is the relationship of fsars to yahoo boys? They are suppose to go after armed robbers and not fraudsters or looters. If they want to stereotype every young man as a robber by reason of yahoo boys then let them also add looters to the list to at least balance things up a little.
