1. After you submit your documents on the consulate portal, they first check your SL/BA to make sure its complete. After that, they check other documents and ask for changes if there are any. It takes them 1 week to review after you've submitted and it's showing "Submitted for preliminary review". If everything is complete, they'll issue you a link to book an appointment which has available dates currently for this week until March ending. You'll get a decision 15 days after the interview at the embassy.

2. Fintiba will ask you for proof of funds source. If they're not satisfied, they might reject the funds. So just use Expatrio or coracle

3. BA and SL have the same weight. No one is above the other. Its a legal binding and the embassy just wants to see one

My questions
1. The guys going / gone for interviews, how long did it take after submitting their application to get called for interview. Also is the decision made right away ie after the interview or there is still a wait to know if one is successful or otherwise.
2. Expatrio Vs Fintiba for blocked funds...any idea which is better?
3. Do you reckon using own funds ie blocked account has an advantage over SL in the decision process? I can do either, obviously will spend less or nothing at all to get the SL but donno if it'll reduce my chances of getting the visa seeing as I'm asking someone to sponsor my stay 🤷🏾‍♀️

National visas are not applied for in Abuja. Everything is done online. Submit your application and be on the waiting list.

If you're using SL, use your sponsor as the reference. The field is just a contact that the embassy can reach out to. It can be any establishment you've worked with previously

Hello everyone, pls is there a WhatsApp group? I've started the process but there is very sparse information.
I have received my statement of comparability from ZAB, and I got an email asking me to upload my documents. However, I'm in Abuja where online application is not possible.
So my questions:
1. Do I fill out the form and submit physically to the German mission in Abuja?

2. In filling out the form there is a section for Reference, and it says for work visa it has to be an educational establishment/coy/organization.
Since I do not have a job there yet, what do I fill for that section?

3. What's the best provider to use for the blocked account?
Pls anyone who has done theirs or has details, do share !

Hello. I applied for ZAB Comparability since September 2024. But every time ZAB sends me a message in my email that there is a missing document and I should go to my ZAB- BundID account to check what the missing document is, I cannot see any messages from ZAB in my BundID. I signed up with username and password since I don't live in EU and can't sign up with EID. But BundID states that when you sign up with username and password, you will not be able to see important and sensitive messages, which is why I can't see the messages ZAB has been sending and my application is still stuck. I have tried sending messages and emails but no positive answer yet. So to those that have successfully done their degree comparability with ZAB, how were you able to do it? Did you have this same challenge of not being able to see your messages on the BundID platform?

So after logging in with BundID, the browser is supposed to redirect to ZAB, however I found that my Firefox browser wasn't redirecting, so I couldn't see the message. Had to use Microsoft Edge browser and it worked.
So try changing your browser, use a different browser from the one you have been trying. I hope it works
