EPISODE TITLE- To be the enemy....








"Thank you.."Nurse Titi said collecting the bottle of water from Mr Smith .., she uncapped it and drank a bit of it, she  feel the chill run down her throat and her head makes an involuntary shake before she dropped it on the table....

"You mentioned you have a confession.."Mr Smith said reclining his back on the chair..

She screw up her face when the memories of what she did came like flashes in her eyes..., Samuel had pushed her to the wall and she fears if she don't pay him back in his own coin, even if it means destroying herself in the process, she won't be able to forgive herself.., he already tarnished her image.., her career and everything she stands for will never be the same anymore..

"Yes.."She said

For a minute, Mr Smith just sat looking at her wondering what her confession is and how it stands to affect the company....."What exactly is it..?"

"Everything that has happened to Anita, Samuel caused it.."

"You've mentioned that before.."Mr Smith said.."You did say something, you said Samuel is the reason she's mad..."

"Yes..., he gave me a drug that will make her go crazy in few minutes so everyone will think she's insane when she says the truth and that's exactly what happened.."

"Do you have evidence of this..?"Mr Smith ask

"Yes..."She replied brooding over the moment she met Samuel.., Samuel fail to understand she's been in the game for long...."I have a record of our conversation..."

"A record...!"Mr Smith reiterate leaning his head forward...

"Every single word said on that day was recorded.."

"Does Samuel know..?"

"He doesn't, I intend on going public with the information I have.."

"If you do that, you'll be affected too..."Mr Smith said with clenched teeth..."You might go to jail, disgraced and discharged..."

"I don't care.."She retorted..."After everything that ungrateful devil has done to me, I really don't care what happens to me.., enough harm has been done already..."

"You must know we can't use one person's testimony to take legal action against any of our benefactors.."Mr Smith said reclining his body back on the chair....

"What Samuel did is inhuman.."Nurse Titi said..."And i just told you I have evidence to prove it in court if need be.."

"An audio recording..!"Mr Smith said, the corner of his mouth lifted up as he rest back comfortably on the chair...."I don't think any judge will rule that in..., it can be argued to be fake..."

Nurse Titi sniffled before her expression closed up upon realising he isn't willing to help her.., Samuel tested her by proceeding with his plans, ignoring him will be a total slap to her face.., he dragged her image to the mud, brought shame and disgrace to her and now..she's going to throw back the shit he threw at her...

"I believe this company have earned a good name and reputation for itself over the past years.., if I go public with what I know.., i guess this company won't be able to face such publicity..."

"I'm beginning to dislike your choice of words.."Mr Smith said, his voice sounding more serious.."Are you threatening us..?"

"Just stating what it will be if I go public.., as it stands, my life is already over, I've nothing more to lose...."

"So you'll take delight in dragging this company down along with you.."

"I'll drag it to the bottomless pit of nothingness if you don't take legal actions against Samuel.., i want him ruined, I want everything to be stripped from him.., i want him on the streets begging..

"Your fight is with Samuel.."Mr Smith cut in..."Not us.."

Nurse Titi glared at him, his face fueling the fire burning inside her, jaw rooted, she stood up and quickly carried her bag...."Atleast I tried reasoning with you.. "She said, her eyes carrying a thread of anger that burns beyond anything Mr Smith has seen before....."Do not blame me for whatever comes after this.. "She added and spun around to walk away when Mr Smith voice stopped her in her tracks...

"The recording.."Mr Smith said standing up from the chair..."Do you have it here..?"

She hissed silently before turning to face him...."No..."

"Where is it then..?"

"It's safe.."Nurse Titi replied, she waited a moment, when she got no reply from Mr Smith other than his hardened face.., she turned around and walked out of the office...

The mental asylum hallway has as much personality as the interstate. It is a thoroughfare for personnel with mad and sane men as parcels, the hospital hallways he had seen are no different from this one, never wide enough for the modern equipment that must pass in opposite directions.., the rooms were built slightly different level to one another, though the mental asylum comes with a unexplainable toxic smell, it's no wonder so many people are going crazy inside the place...

He followed Matthew as he walk with Dr Charana to her office, he really wish Matthew doesn't sign but Matthew is so consumed with emotions for his sister and it had made him blind to see reality.., he gritted and slightly shift his gaze to his side, he noticed the hospital walls simply grow from the floor and stretch upward to the matching ceiling but instead of straight walls, the hallway has a curve, disappearing from sight in a few metres or so...

Henry stopped to take a breather when Doctor Charana reach the double-doors with their plastic band fastened midway and their dull chrome handles, she pushed it open and he quickly realise it was her office, a place Matthew could be making the biggest mistake of his life...

"Can i talk to you...?"Henry mutter but loud enough for Matthew to hear, when Charana glanced his way, he knew she heard it but he didn't care, he doesn't feel okay with Matthew signing...

Matthew look his way and shift his gaze to Charana again, when Charana walked in leaving the two of them, he followed Henry to a corner....

"Are you really going to do this...?"Matthew ask pocketing his hands..., he didn't feel good so he pulled them out before anyone could notice..

Matthew gritted, slightly look behind before reverting his gaze to him again.., what happened earlier with him and Anita came running back into his head striping his heart of any strength and logical thinking and replacing it with grief.., heart-rending grief.....

"You saw my sister.."He said, his voice mincing with the way he's feeling..

"Yes I did..."Matthew replied thinking deeply on the words to use to convince him that he'll be making a grave mistake if he signs, he really wish Susan was with them..she have a way of convincing anyone..."Look Matt, I know how you feeling but don't let it make you do this.., this place is bad news..."

"My sister is mad..."Matthew said leaning closer to him.., he sniffled back the tears threatening to run down his face...."She didn't even recognise me.., if she can help..

"Help...!"Henry cut in.."Do you even know how they brought her here..., they kidnapped her and brought her here..."

"Helloo..."Charana chime in from the door post.., when both men looked her way, she continued..."If you aren't doing this, you can take her, i have absolutely no problem in releasing her to you.."

"But you had absolute problem in releasing her to us yesterday.."Henry fling back

"You weren't and aren't related to her.."Charana said back..."We took her in when she was pursuing people, she was a danger.., you don't expect us to just release her to total strangers.. "

"Strangers..!"Henry reiterates..."Her friend wasn't a stranger, I'm sure you remenber her since you drove off leaving her after you agreed to take her with you.."

"And i already apologise to your friend.."Charana said..."The situation was urgent and she was wasting our time with her phone call.., me leaving her behind was a good call.."

"For who..?"Henry ask with shrugged shoulders

"For his sister.."

"Well apparently she's still the same, so it was a good call for you.."Henry said infuriated..."Who knows, maybe, just maybe, you gave her something that made her worse..."

Doctor Charana huff, anger licked through her but she kept her cool...."I've been on this profession for twenty years young man.., if you doubt my capabilities, ask around about me, i may be lenient but I won't take is you trying to insinuate something that contradicts the ethics of my job..."

"I'm not trying to insinuate anything.."Henry said with a shrug..

Doctor returned her gaze to matthew after been sure she had put Henry in his place.., she knows no matter what she can't let Anita go, whether he signs or not, a price has been paid on Anita's head and she'll do everything to complete the work that comes with that price even if it means going out of her way to destroy those trying to stop her....

"If you're confused on a decision to take, you can have her, I have other patients to attend to.."

Matthew took a deep breathe, he glance at Henry and then to Charana again.., he remmeber Anita's childhood days, many times they sit together and discuss their future, what they will be and how to tackle issues when the going gets rough..., he thought upon what to do even if he takes her out of there.., he has absolutely no money to put her in a private asylum nor does he have the means and connections to get her to a good church for deliverance..., he sigh wondering why he's in such a dilemma and why does such ailment have to befall her sister....

"If I sign.."He said and Matthew quickly glance his way, he ignored Matthew and continue...."Will she be okay..?"

"It will take a while but eventually she will.."Charana said..

"I can come from time to time to visit her.."Matthew said

Charana nodded before the words leap out of her mouth.."Sure, you're her brother, you can come whenever you want but sleepovers is not allowed.."

"If I see no improvement during my times of visit, I'll withdraw her.."Matthew said

"If you see no improvements then I'm not doing my job.."Said Charana

Mattthew inhale deeply again and once again glance at Henry's side, Henry's face bleakly told him he isn't okay with his plans but Anita is his sister not Henry's,..friends abandon..family is family and he's doing what is best for his sister..

"What should I sign..?"Matthew ask, his voice rumbling low..

"Please come in...."She said paving the way for him to enter the office

"Nice and slowly.."Sergeant Owen said pointing the gun at Festus...

Tremors washed across Festus face as he began to climb the staircase, his heart was in chaos but he couldn't make a sound, not when a mad man is pointing a gun at him and willing to pull the trigger if he even tries to flinch...

"Walk Fast..."Sergeant Owen ordered, voice low but loud enough for Festus to hear..

Festus try to breathe but it was stupid, he felt like he is dying yet still standing.., when the gun muzzle touch the back of his head again.., another round of wet fluid dribbled down his legs, his eyes enlarged with trepidations as fear threatens to rip his heart right out from his chest..., he didn't want to lead him to Samuel's room but he's scared and isn't ready to die for anyone....

Sergeant Owen look around before he fused his eyes ln the door Festus was pointing at.., he quickly hold Festus by the neck and drag him forward, then he shush him with the gun before he slowly began to turn down the knob.., he heard moans, as the door opens, the moans became louder, there he saw him, a girl sucking his dick..., a tauntful smile surrounds his lips before he pushed Festus into the room..., when Festus lost his balance and fell, the chattering sound quickly made Samuel turn...

"Hello Sammy..."Sergeant Owen said, extending the rest of the greetings with the gun..

Samuel flinched and quickly drag his trousers up..

"Oh you're here too.."Sergeant Owen said when he recogniss the girl blowing Samuel's dick.., it was the very same girl he had taken to the hotel.., the one who had taken nude pics of him...

With just her panties on, the girl took a step backwards using Samuel as a shade, Festus did same, creeping behind Samuel like a little kid...

"How did you get in here...?"Samuel manage to ask amidst fear and throbbing heart..

"How did I get in here...?"Sergeant Owen ask rhetorically and began to pace about, then he stood and face them again, suddenly he raise the gun and pointed it at the girl who stepped out from behind Samuel, the girl noticed and hid behind Samuel again, the sudden act infuriated Samuel and quickly he pushed her from his back., the girl clatters and just when she raise her head to face them, she saw the gun slowly moving to her direction.., after a second of been stuck in a great quandary, she manage to get up and try to talk, try to reason with Sergeant Owen, tried to explain but she was a split second too late.., dark fingers rounded the trigger, it pulled and the firece bullet went straight for her head..., her blood splashed on the white bedsheets and couch in the room as her body landed with a thud on the ground....

Paralysed to the spot, Samuel and Festus look at her dead body, their eyes totally unblinking and their whole body wrapped with the terror that have come to visit them...

"That is how I came in.."Sergeant Owen said snapping them out from their shocked and frozen state

After walking for minutes thinking about what her life has become, Nurse Titi decided to stand and wait for a taxi..., she has made up her mind, she's going to the press with what she knows.., it wasn't long before a taxi stopped in front of her even without her calling for it.., tired and angry, she opened the taxi door and entered the backseat.., she looked at the person sitting beside her before she glance over to the driver's side.....

"Fortune Palace.. "She said to the driver and place her bag on her legs..

She took a deep breathe of regrets when the driver moved the car, she felt ashamed for everything she had done and if there's anything she can do to atone for her sins is exposing Samuel for who he really is...

"Hello.."A deep voice found way to her ears..

She look at her side and quickly notice it's the guy sitting beside her that actually spoke, too bad she isn't in the mood to answer him, not bothering to give him the dignity of a reply, she turned her face away..

"Hi..."The man said again

She got infuriated and quickly turn back to face him with the intentions of pouring every ounce of anger she's feeling on him, but what she saw silenced her.., her eyes moved from the man to the gun in his hand, she turn to the driver and quickly noticed the car speed had increase.., she didn't waste any time before she turn back to face the door and try to unlock it but it wasn't opening....

"Who are you people..?"She shouted..."What do you want from me.., did Samuel.send you..?"

The man look gormlessly at her, then he place a finger across his lips motioning her to be quiet...

Nurse Titi remained still for a moment, then she looked towards the road and started shouting......

"Somebody help me..."She screamed..

"Please shut her up..."The driver chime in from the front seat..

The man beside her close his eyes as if he was muttering a silent prayer before he draw close to Nurse Titi..

Nurse Titi tried to fight him off all the while struggling to open the door, she felt powerless, he gained control over her and wrapped his huge hands around her neck.., Nurse Titi try to reach her bag to get the spray stash she always carry about but the bag fell.., slowly she began to lose every form of air, lose touch of nature, right there she gave up and give in into an oblivion of unconsciousness....

"Did you kill her..?"The driver ask slowing down the car..

The man let go of her and her unconscious body fell with ease on the chair.., he flex his fingers before he replied the driver..."Boss want her alive....."

EPISODE TITLE- The decision is yours








Fear thought looped around Susan's head, the fear that they might lose Anita to the madness that have enguffed her and her suspicious concerning the genesis of it could be true.., she walked into the hospital lobby, in a chair was sited an old man, a woman and a young girl beside him and it quickly occur to her that the girl could be their daughter or granddaughter, the old man looked lost and his right hand was buckling under the weight of his walking stick.., he reminded her of her grandfather, calm yet lost, it looked as if life itself has deluded them and they were just looking, waiting for death to call them home....

Six years ago, she was in a hospital premises visiting her grandfather, she remenber her mother's words before her grandfather's demise...
"You promise not to leave your grandchildren.."Her mother will always say to his grandfather but she knew better then but what she fails to understand is why they're always so prepared like death is something so simple, so good to accept..

"Do not fear death my dear Susan.."Her grandfather had said to her.."For is the beginning of a new life.."

Susan chulkle at the thought, till now she still could not understand why she hold these simple words so dear to her heart.., she sigh, look around before the reasons to which she had come to the hospital came running back into her head..., since the previous day, she has had an itch intincts that the nurse she met in Anita's room the day she was hospitalised is somehow connected to Anita's present situation...

She walkdd past the lobby and began walking down the hallway, many persons walked past her all accustomed by different situations...

"Excuse me.. "Susan said shapily upon sighting a nurse.....
"Can I talk to you for a sec..?"Susan added when the nurse stood to listen to her..

The nurse turn her face from Susan and look ahead as if she was signalling someone with her eyes, after few seconds of looking askance, she turn her face back to Susan..."Come this way.."She said taking her steps to a corner with Susan tagging along...

"What is it..?"The nurse ask the moment they were out of earshots...

Susan took a deep breathe before she made an effort to talk..."Please is the doctor around...?"She ask keeping the major question that had taken her there .., she felt she will be able to flow with the doctor since he already knows almost everything...

"I was hoping you'll tell me what happened to Doctor Bright.."The nurse said folding her hands.., her tone coming out unfriendly than Susan thought.....

Susan felt a tingle of shock as the words made way to her ears..."Did something happened to the doctor....?"She ask anxiously

"You don't know..?"The nurse replied

The questions jolted her an inch back, the last conversation between her and the doctor came running back into her head like it was just a few minutes ago, and yesterday she had come to find him, to ask him for help one more time after Anita was taken to that Godforsaken mental asylum...

"Know what..?"She ask feeling scared.., for whatever it is, she sure hopes Samuel or the policemen hasn't gotten to him...

The look in the nurse face simply convey she didn't believe whatever she said.."Know what..?"She ask again, this time more serious in her tone..

"The Doctor was involved in an accident, he's fighting for his life as we speak.."

"Oh God.."Susan mutter holding her heart and strengthening her feet to keep from collasing......"What...what happened..?"

"I should be asking you that.."The nurse said releasing her folded hands..."I saw you and your friend with the doctor while he was sneaking the two of you out through the back gate.., i saw you and your friend drove out with him...., you were the last to be seen with him before the accident.."

"I don't know what happened to him.."Susan replied immediately..."Yes he drove us out in his car.., he dropped us, we said our goodbyes and he left.., i didn't know he had an accident..."

"Didn't know or didn't want to tell anyone..?"The nurse ask

Susan frown.., her infuriation for the question bleakly etched on her Face...."You think if I know, I wouldn't bring him here myself.."

The nurse turn away her face but didn't reply...

"I didn't know the Doctor had an accident until now.."She took a pause to digest the shocking information before she raise her gaze to her again.."How's the doctor now..?"

"I just told you he's not fine.."The nurze replied brusquely..

The reply annoyed Susan snd she knew very well if she wasn't there for something far more important that the nurse annoying character, she would have responded right back in the nurse tone.....

"Please if you're done, I've somewhere to be.."The nurse said taking a step to walk away damning the regards of a reply...

"Wait.."Susan said walking up to her..."I need to know one more thing from you.."

The nurse brows fluttered showing her lack of interest in the conversation...

"The night my friend was brought in.."Susan said ignoring the nurse expression...."A nurse attended to her, she was dark, a bit..

"I know who you're talking about..."The nurse cut in..."Nurse Titi, for a while now, she has been on night duty.., but as surprise as it may sound.., she didn't come to work last night...., we try reaching her to come assist with treating the doctor's wounds, she didn't answer any of her calls..."

"Has she ever been absent from work..?"Susan ask curiously

"Only on few occasions...."

"I really need to talk to her..."Susan said..."Can you give me her contact..?"

"I'm not with a phone.."

"What about her home address...?"

The nurse sigh with a look that told Susan she'll rather walk away than give her the address..

"Please.., it's important I have it.., if it isn't urgent, I won't be asking.."

"Fine.."The nurse said..."But if she asks, don't tell her I gave it to you.."

"Deal.."

Jaw set in grim lines.., Henry and Matthew walked into the mental asylum premises, Henry watch as people walk roughly in one direction, weaving a little, chatting as they go, some heads down and lost in thought..., he returned his face to Matthew who was smouldering under an angry look, he felt pity for him, he wonder how he will react if he hears his sister is mad and currently in a mental asylum....

"Who are we going to talk to...?"Matthew ask over his shoulder as they approached the lobby

Henry jut his chin and look his way.."I guess the doctor..."

"So my sister was brought to this place...?"He ask barely turning to face Henry..

Henry sigh.."Yes..."

"Who..?"Matthew ask

Henry gritted, Matthew barely said a word to him on their way to the hospital, he thought he wasn't in a good mood, anyone would be in such state if he hears such news about his sister....

"People from here.."

Matthew glance his way but didn't say a word, instead he maintain his uncharacteristic grim across his subtle..

Henry followed as they walk in silence until they got to the lobby counter..., Henry took a minute to look at the people around before he look ahead to the main hall, people walk in and out from the only door that forms a bridge between them and whatever is going on behind the lobby..., when he glanced over at Matthew's side, he was still frowning, his face looked rough probably from several fights and hardwork, one or twice Anita had mentioned him to him, though his brief conversations with her never comes with a name but from her description, he could pinpoint she was talking about Matthew....

"Hello..."He said to a lady at the counter.., he remembered standing in the spot he was standing now the previous day.., the fat lady standing behind the counter had show a great disrespectful attitude and that was what infuriated Susan and prompted her into making a scene before the lady doctor or whatever she is showed up.....

"Good morning.."The lady replied making Henry to glance at his time..

"Good morning..."Henry said back, an involuntary smile creeping into the corners of his mouth but he quickly frowned when he noticed it..."I want to see the doctor.."He added..

"Doctor Charana.."The lady said..

"Yes.."Henry replied shapily totally lost on the name she introduced herself with when they met the previous day..

"Any appointments..."The lady ask bowing down to write some things down

"No, but it's important i speak to her..."

"I'm sorry you can't see her without an appointment.."

Samuel scoffs.."Seriously, I need an appointment to see a doctor in a mental asylum..."

"It's the policy here.."The lady replied

Henry frown at the statement and quickly glance back to face Matthew, he was restless, anyone can judge by the way he was sitting and standing, then he'll pace around holding his head every chance he gets...., he turned back to face the lady only to return his gaze when he felt his eyes caught a fraction of something.., somebody....

His body tingle with what felt like joy but deep down he knew it was nothing related to joy.., he snapped out from his thoughts and quickly walk speedily towards the doctor he had seen walking into the lobby...

"Hello doctor.."Henry said stepping in her front, his vouce sounding sarcastic than real..

The voice drove Doctor Charana to take a break from walking...., her lips curved with a smile that Heney couldn't tell of it was good or just a part of her wicked self..

"It's you again.."Doctor Charana said taking off her glasses...

"Yeah.."Henry said, his eyes moving from her to the man with her and to her again..."I told you I'll be coming back.. "

"Of course you made it clear...."Doctor Charana said..."You also mention we'll be debating on legal terms..."

"Excuse me, is she the doctor..?"Matthew cut in..

"Yes.."Henry said..."She's the one holding your sister.."

"I want my sister back.."Matthew said immediately

"Are you her brother..?"Charana ask

"I am.."Matthew said.."And I want her out of here.."

"Taking her out of here will do her no good..."Charana said.."She's in a bad shape..."

"I want to see her..."Matthew demanded..

"Of course.."Charana said taking her gaze from Matthew to Henry and then to Matthew again..."But I must warn you not to get too close.., in her state.., i don't think she'll recognise you..."

"Can i just see my sister.."Matthew said, his voice coming out harsh..

"Okay.."Charana replied with a shrug..."Please follow me.."

Still shocked on why she agreed so soon to Matthew Demands, Henry followed them as they opened the door and walk into the hallway.., Henry swallowed when he heard distance screams and laughter, he sigh after almost stopping to look a madman two men were forcing into a room....

The previous day after they had left the hospital, Susan had told him Charana was up to no good after he refuse them permission to take Anita away, he believes it, after everything that had happened, no one can be trusted.., Susan had told him she suspects Charana is working for Samuel and making Anita mad was just a game plan to paint her a liar in front of the board members of the company...

"We're here..."Charana said pointing at a door..

Henry grimace at the awful smell that was protruding from the hallways, he set his eyes on the door Charana had them stopped in front in and try to read the words that were written with red pen on the door, he hissed quietly when he realise the writings were just rubbish probably written by some madmen

The door creak when Charana push it open.., Henry squeak from the way the room was unkempt and the foul smell coming from it like there was a sewage leakage in the room...., his eyes moved around and that was when hs sighted her..., shock wrecked the deepest part of his heart when he saw Anita sitting at the far end of the room, her hand wrapped around some dirty clothes..

"Anita.."Matthew shouted and ran towards her..

Anita shivered and quickly stood up to counter any form of attack from them...., when she rub her ears continuously on her shoulder, Matthew retreated from holding her..

"Anita.."Matthew said gently slowly stretching his hands to reach her..

Anita flinch, drop the clothes and ran to another corner of the room..

"Anita we're here to take you home.."Henry interjects feeling pity for her., when Susan told him Anita was mad, he never knew it was this serious...

She rub her left ears on her left shoulder side again as if she's trying hard to get something from her ears but the moment Matthew and Henry went closer to her..., Her head in her little crazy world twirl.., she lost every sense of what it means to be cool and started screaming....

"Anita is me..."Matthew said trying to silence her.."It's Matthew, your brother..."

She stopped screaming and put a finger in her right ear, then she began to twirl her finger around but quickly stop when both men made an attempt to get close to her.., she grim and frown quickly, then she spun around and ran for the very first thing she saw..a knife, a sharp one that could cause damage in seconds....

"No no no.."Henry shouted when she took the knife and pointed the sharp edge at them

"You need to leave before she'll hurt you.."Charana said from where she was standing....

"She's my sister, she won't hurt me.."Matthew said walking close to her again.."Anita.., don't you remenber me..., it's Matthew.., your brother.."

Anita blink her eyes in quick succession, suddenly she stopped and glare at Matthew, the moment he went close to her.., she snap by swinging the knife to his side, the sharp edge of the knife cutting a bit deep into Matthew's hand...

"Anita..."Matthew shouted when blood flowed out from his hand and made droplets on the floor...

"Calm down Anita.."Doctor Charana stepped in pushing Matthew aside..."Give me the knife..."She said but quickly dressed aback when Anita made an attempt to thrust the knife at her...

"Leave.."Charana shouted at them.
"I'm not leaving without her.. "Matthew blare out angrily

"Do you want her to kill you....?"Charana ask..."You cannot have her in this condition.."

When Anita screamed again, Charana pushed both men outside and lock the door...

"Anita..."Matthew shouted from outside the door.

Matthew stifled dragging back the tears that were threatening to fall from his eyes......"Where is your office..?"He ask

"Are you really going to sign..?"Henry ask

"That person in there is my sister.."Matthew hollered at him..

"I know..."Henry said.."But signing whatever papers she'll be giving you means you're giving them Anita..., there are so many things you don't know yet.."

"It's really simple..."Charana said..."If you don't want her treated.., you can take her but this facility won't be liable for any further thing that befalls her because as it is, her presence is a great danger to every sane person....., what we are offering you, is an express service.., you don't have to pay a dine to have her treated, that is something no mental asylum will offer you.., all we just need is a signature and in few weeks Anita will bounce back to what she use to be...., if you love your sister, save her ..."

The gun behind Sergeant Owen, he gently knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer, when no answer Came, he hold the doorknob and turn it down...., he swallowed deeply when it opened, he peep at first then he entered the house.., he saw Festus laying on the chair, he quickly walk up to him and touch his face with the gun muzzle..., the images of his nudes pictures that were sent to him came like flashes in his head.., he woke Festus up immediately..

Henry sigh as he stood waiting wondering why the morning sun was so scorching, in the heat he can barely formulate a thought. There is no cooling breeze or cloud to block the high morning sun, he curl his fingers around the thin fabric of his shirt, waving it in and out to create just a little air flow, but it's not enough, like an ice cube into hot soup, He's late, whoever this Matthew is, an hour ago he had called him that their bus had almost arrived but he's been waiting for an hour and yet there was no sign of him..., he sigh as hs remembers his discussion with Susan, Susan had told him that morning she suspects one of the nurses to know the cause of Anita's sudden madness so she had refused coming with him to the park to welcome Anita's brother and go to the hospital Anita was formally admitted into instead...

When he turned to face the road, he saw a bus driving slowly into the park and he prays Matthew should be inside.., he stood in a corner but not too far from the bus when the people begin to alight from it..., he watch the faces of people guessing in his head which one could be Matthew, it didn't take long before his phone rang...

"Hello.."He answered titling his head towards a dark guy on black jacket with a backbag hung across his shoulders..., he quickly wave noticing he's actually the one he's been waiting for....

"Matthew right..?"He ask when they close the distance between them..

"Yes.."Matthew reply in a tone that rather sounded baritone..."You must be Henry.."

"I am.."Henry said with a smile that disappear a second after..

"It's really nice to meet you.."Matthew said..

"Yeah me too.. "Said Henry withdrawing his hands from the handshake.."How was the journey..?"

Henry grits, his plan was taking him to his house, have him have a fresh bath before taking him to the hospital, but from the way and manner Matthew pose was, one could easily see he wasn't there for any warm welcome, he's here for Anita and Anita he shall take him to.., maybe perhaps, hs can save the warm welcome for later...

"Alright.."Henry said before taking his phone out to call Susan and inform her Anita's brother just arrived and they're on their way to the psychiatric hospital....

"I want to see the CEO.."Nurse Titi said wondering ths possibility of it.., she knew seeing the CEO of such a big establishment isn't going to be easy..

"Any appointments...?"Ths young girl lowering her head tk the computer on front of her..

"Not really..."Nurse Titi said.., she exhale knowing fully well her plans will be thwarted if she don't do anything...."You can call to tell him I've something that will interest him..."

"And what may that be madam..?"The girl raising her face back to her..

"You know Samuel.."Nurse Titi said damning the consequences that may arise from what the bullets she's trying to fire..."Tell the CEO I know things that he will want to know about him.., if he refuse to listen to me, he may be taking a risk of running his company down.."

"Those are serious words madam.."The girl said

"That's how serious what I'm here to discuss with him is.."

"Please a minute.."The young girl said, she pick up the intercom and called a number, after talking she dropped it and quickly move her eyes to the new girl that joined them...

"Please take her to CFO.."The girl said to the other girl..

"Please this way.."The girl said and Nurse Titi followed the lead..

They entered the lift to the fourth floor and head towards another office...
Nurse Titi eyes rolled from each edge of the building to the other edge, the admiration separated her from reality until the crank of the door drag her back into a world she wish can become a dream...

"Thank You Michelle..."Beatrice said to the girl who nodded and left....

"I was told you have something to tell the CEO..."Beatrice said dropping her pen.."Please sit.."

"Well are you the CEO...?"Nurse Titi queried.

"No.."Beatrice replied with a smile..

"Pleass can I talk to someone with a higher rank.., what I have to say is really important and the CEO needs to hear it before I go public with it.."

Nurse Titi hissed and walk straight to the door, she stood a bit to take a breather, replaying every word she had sworn to say in her head before she opened the door....

"Good morning..."She greeted

Mr Smith raise his gaze to look at her..."Good morning.."He replied.."Pleass have a seat..."

Without argument, she did as she was told....

"I wanted to speak to the CEO.."

"The CEO is not around.., you can talk to me.., i run everything here so believe me when I say this, whatever you have to say, I'm the right person.., i was told you have something important to say.., what is it..?"

"I'm here in respect of one of your benefactors.., someone that doesn't deserve the crown he was given.."

"And who might that be...?"Mr Smith ask..

"Samuel.."She said.."Samuel Okweche..., he's a thief, a manipulator..., and if he's not brought down, he'll ruin the good image of this company with his bad blood..."

"Mmm.."Mr Smith mutter before he reclined his back on the chair..."Can you elucidate more on what you mean please..?"

"He doesn't deserve that money that was awarded to him.., the money doesn't even belong to him, he stole the story and submitted it and when the rightful owner tried to say the truth, he silent her by making her mad...."

"Mad..!,..That is a serious accusations.."

"And I have evidence to back it up...., Samuel Okweche is a bad egg, and if he's not thrown out from the crate, he won't only corrupt the good name of this company, he'll be ruining years of good reputations and effecting youths out there with his poison...., i have a confession to make and I'm willing to go on tape or even the court...."

After he stopped the car in front of the house, Sergeant Owen took a silent prayer before he pick up his gun, then he took the silencer and rolled it into the gun muzzle, noticing it's well fitted, he open his car door and came down from the car..., in a quick succession, he walk towards the gate with the gun behind his back.., then he knocked...

"How are you...?"He ask the gate man when he opened the gate..

"I can't let you in sir.."The gateman said..."My Oga gave me strict instructions.."

"Is that so.."Sergeant Owen dragged between his teeth..."Fine.."He added with a bad stare at the gatsmen, the moment the gateman turned to lock the gate, Sergeant Owen shot him from behind but hold him before he could fall to the ground.., he touch his hand to feel his pulse but quickly hiss upon realization he's dead., he drag the gateman in and locked the gate himself, then he look round the compound if there were more security, when he saw no-one but himself around, he began to trot towards the main house with the gun in his hand and a dark instinct to kill.., what followed was a tone ringing in his head..bye bye Samuel..

Ripples of loud, harsh cacles of laughter became great wave of hilarity in the metal asylum, Bulchama snarled again, deeply in a state of intoxication when he could find no release from maddening self-consciousness.....

Doctor Charana and Andrew quickly race to a stop when they entered the room, the chaotic laughter rousing from the madmen that are locked inside their cells echoe in their ears, it infuriated Charana and quickly she fused her furious gaze on Bulchama, when their gaze met, his eyes were narrowed, cold, hard and in that moment, she realise he was already far away, once more they've become a target to prey on...

"Security.."Charana shouted glancing backwards

Bulchama growled at her but didn't take a walk towards her, instead he retorts his anger on the nurse he slammed on the table, he pick him up, the wild laughter from his mad colleagues encouraged him into raising the nurse again..

"Bulchama.."Charana shouted signalling with her hand for him to drop the nurse..

Bulchama growled wildly at her and with cheers from his mad colleagues, he set his hands ready and just when he was about slamming the nurse against the table the second time, he got tased by Charana, the electrodes contacted with his body and a charge flowed into his body delivering 19 short pulses with an average current of two milliamps, he sustained muscles contraction and quickly fell to the floor like a mighty man that has just been defeated...

The sudden act silent the laughter restoring the earliest peace and quiet..., Charana sigh and handed back the taser to the security guards, for a moment she glance at Bulchama on the ground, her mind quickly brood over the first day he was brought in, Bulchama was her first victim, a man needed his nephew out of the way so he can take his inheritance and she was the perfect woman for the job....

"Who released him..?"She ask, her eyes moving from the fallen nurse whom other nurses were attending to, to the nurse standing beside defeated Bulchama...

"I did.."One of the male nurses replied...

"And why did you do that...?"Charana ask, her forehead creasing with the seriousness of the question..

"I.., i thought he was calm now.."

"Calm...!"Charana reiterate...."When has this madman ever been calm..?"

"It won't happen again Ma..."The nurse said

Charana grunts before her eyes travelled to the nurse the other nurses were carrying out from the room.., she glance at Andrew whose gaze was focus on the nurse that was been hold out of the room before she returned them to the nurse...

"Take this madman back to his hole.."She said, her face contorting with the seriousness of the order..

"One of these days, Bulchama is going to kill someone..."Andrew said a minute after Bulchama has been carried out of their sight...

"Not if I kill him first.."Charana said turning to face him..

"Why do you still keep him..?"Andrew ask taking his hands from behind only to fold them across his chest..

Charana scoffs, the corners of her mouth rounding up with a freaky sarcastic smile...."He's a necessity..."

"Necessity..!"Andrew reiterate...."He doesn't look like anyone you can bater with.., he's beyond every reasonable damage..."

"Well his head is still worth something.., an unexpected clapback perhaps.."

"You think he'll try to silent you.."Andrew said releasing his folded arm..

Charana sigh and look towards few workers that were passing, after they passed, she set her eyes back on him...."You know the nature of this business..., things might bounce on the busy express and once it hits there.., quandary occurs and greedy men always tends to bite the hands that once fed them in that puzzled state..."

"It's been years, I doubt that will be the case.."

"Well let's pray it doesn't come to that because if it does, trust me, Bulchama will be the pandora's box to the endgame..."

The night rides in on a horse of pure midnight velvet, beckoned by the stars under a the glow of a full moon.., at the rumble of thunder, Nurse Titi woke up without warning, every of her thoughts in high definition, she widened her eyes only to be struck by the bright light from her torchlight she had placed on the table earlier before she fell asleep.., she wipe her eyes before the memories she's been dwelling on found way back to her head..

She look around for her phone and quickly pick it up upon finding it, she turn on the phone screen only to be shocked by the number of missed calls that she saw.., she wipe the button of her eyes before she fused her eyes on the phone to check the people that called her....

She wanted to call back but the hills of her worries couldn't allow her, she dropped the phone back on the bed after she noticed the rest of the missed calls came from her colleague, it pisses her off when they still call even after taking permission she won't be able to make it to work that night..

She sniffled and stood up from the bed, then she pick up her torchlight and head to the bathroom, she dropped the torchlight at the very point it'll illuminate the bathroom before she turn on the metallic click.., she washed her face only to be disturbed by the ringtone of her phone, she sigh, turn off the tap and head towards the bed, she pick the phone up, then she grunts when she saw the caller, it was a friend she hasn't spoken to in years, many times she had wanted to delete her number but she never did...., with a slight hesitation, she answered the call....

"Titi.."Her friend loud voice sounded from the other end..

Nurse Titi removed the phone from her ears for a bit, then she placed it back when her friend's voice sounded again..

"Titi can you hear me..?"Her friend ask from the other end

Nurse Titi huff, take her eyes to the frame in her wall before she settled them back on the bed.....

"Yes I'm here.."Nurse Titi said crunching back on the bed...

"Have you gone online.."Her friend said..."Your nudes are everywhere.."

Nurse Titi's brain stutters for a moment and her eyes take in more light in the dim darkness than she expected, every part of her goes on pause while her thoughts try catch up..

"They were posted in all social media.."Her friend added..."And you were even tagged on Instagram..."

Nurse Titi stood still, her head and every part of her went on a pause, it was as if the information knocked every wisp of air from her body.., suddenly her legs grew weak and she crunched down to her knee totally oblivious on how to breathe.., her mouth move but nothing seem to come out but stutters....

In that stunned moment, she managed to pick up her phone and rushed into her Instagram page but quickly froze by the very first post she saw..., her fingers jumped rhythmically as if in spasm, when she noticed she couldn't hold the phone anymore, she placed it on the bed only to pick it back..

Blood drained from her face as her mouth open and close like a goldfish with no sound coming out, she remembered Samuel's threat and it forced her into an incredulous expression.., she pick up the phone again, search for Festus number, when she found it, she wasted no time before she dialled it..

Her heart glimmer with heart wrenching tears as she waited for the call to be answered, when no answered came, she dialled again only to know it's been switched off...

She sobbed heavily and it felt as if the world is about crumbling on her.., just then the phone dropped before she dropped down on her knees and screamed silently

Sergeant Owen woke up at the loud cry of his baby, the baby was crying  like his body was rebelling against his existence as if he'd arrived in a world that made no sense.., sometimes his loud cry annoys Sergeant Owen and it makes him wish he would grow up soon.., he stood up and walk over to the baby's carriage before his wife came out from the room's bathroom..

"Where did you go to..?"Sergeant Owen ask but quickly realise how stupid the question was when he saw a towel around her waist..

His wife didn't bother answering, instead she attended to the needs of the child, Sergeant Owen hissed, pick up his phone and head to the living room......

After he sat down, he entered his WhatsApp messages on his phone and waited for more messages to come in...

"Will you keep him quiet.?"He shouted at his wife when the baby's cries found way to his ears..., he grunt heavily from anger and a need to sleep before he refocus his gaze on his phone...

"Mmm.."He mutter when he saw a message from Samuel, he remenber giving him multiple calls hours earlier to remind him of his balance and what he'll do to him if he attempt to play silly games with him..., he decided to read Samuel's messages after going through several thoughts in his head....

What he saw pushed his back against the bed before he stood up and take another look at the pictures Samuel had sent to him just to reaffirm he actually saw what he's thinking....

His eyes widened with stunned shock and annoyance with his shoulders hunching together like he's trying to disappear inside himself, just then he began to recall the events of his day....

"You crazy bitch.."He sneer angrily when he recall the pictures of his nudes that Samuel sent to him were taken in the hotel room..
He pace for a while as he nurture the anger that was lingering in his belly, completely fed up, he dialled Samuel's number and impatiently waited for him to answer, when no answer came other than the automatic end of the call, he grunts and dial again..

"Pick up you little bastard.."He sneer with clenched fist....

When the call connected, he quickly rushed to talk..."What is the meaning of the pictures you sent to me..?"He queried angrily..

"Samuel.."He growled when no reply came..

"Did you get my message...?"Samuel replied from the other end, his voice low yet taunting

The reply infuriated Sergeant Owen more.., every word of it was like gasoline added to fire burning inside his chest....
"You think this is a game..?"Sergeant Owen Queried with a tone that conveys how he's feeling..

There was silence and it was gradually prompting Sergeant Owen primeval instincts to take over..

"It's not a game Sergeant.."Samuel's voice came again.."It's rather simple.., you're a smart man, you should figure the message out.."Samuel said before the call dropped dead..

Burning rage hissed through Sergeant Owen body like deathly poison, screeching a demanded release in the form of unwanted violence when the call ended.., his hunched form exuded an animosity that was like acid.., he finally gave in to the anger lingering inside him by smashing his phone on the ground.....

His face went red with rage and when his wife came into the living room to ask what was happening, he swung around and mentally snapped...

As Anita rouse from her heavy slumber, she became aware of the coolness of the air and it's damp fragrance..., she widened her eyes, dreams not just forgotten but erased..., she blink, close her eyes and blink again before she finally reopened them wide again..., she look around totally unaware of where she is, From the carousel of random thoughts comes some order , a subtle awareness of who she is under the flow of thoughts with their loose connections to where she is..., she exhaled realising every breathe she takes smells of drugs.., she clutched nervously at her chest and involuntarily swing her right hand around, she turned when a stainless plate fell and clattered on the floor..., for a moment, she just sat, her brain trying to fathom exactly what is going on and where she is.., she glance at her clothes and sigh, atleast she still has her clothes on..

Carefully, she jumped down from the bed but quickly flinch when a sharp pain lanced across her head..., she held the bed for support, took a deeper breathe before she glanced around the room, she noticed an assortment of notebooks, cans of drugs and other hospital items....

She quickly flinched and cover her face with her hand when the sunlight hissed at her face upon opening of the door....

"You've woken up.."Andrew said standing at the door..

Anita blinked, her brain scrambling to remenber where she has known him.., just then the memories of what had happened began to flood her head, she remembered been arrested, beaten and taken to the hospital, and then she was helped by the doctor to escape from the clutches of the policemen who were after her.., she got to the company, she remenber setting her foot there...., she blink again trying to remember the rest but it was a total blackout....

"Where am I..?"She ask, her voice trailing slow and low.

"Hopsital.."Andrew replied propelling his hands behind him..

Anita look around again and try every possible effort to brood over what led her to the hospital..."How.."She said, her lips quivering with unbalanced thoughts...."How did I get here..?"

"You don't remember..?"Andrew ask stepping from the door.., he lock gaze with her and eye drool every part of her body, she was pretty, innocent, just the way he likes them....

"No..."Anita dragged calmly..."I don't remenber.."

Andrew grit and close the door immediately.., he lick his lips and bash over the thoughts of how she'll be like when he holds her, press her against himself.., the last one was just like her, so tender, innocent, soft spoken and pretty....

"You were unconscious.. "Andrew said walking close to her but quickly adjust when he felt a boner.., a boner was quick, the last one and the others didn't give him an erection at the first meeting but this one was special and he's going to enjoy touching and exploring every part of her..

Anita inhale and look around again, the picture of some group of women hung on the wall grab her attention for a while, after a minute of stare, she reverts her gaze back to Andrew....

"What happened to me..?"She asked trying hard to remember beyond the moment she entered the company but nothing seem to sufficed....

Andrew didn't reply, instead he went lost in her beauty, her slender figure and little mouth...

"My friend.."Anita said recouping some memories.."Is she here..?"

"She's not..."Charana answered from the door..

Andrew quickly spun around with the alertness of the voice to Face the door, but the stare from Charana boldly shows she saw the bulge in his fly...

After a long stare, Charana took her eyes from Andrew and walk in with a bottle of water and drugs on a surgical tray...

"How are you..?"She ask dropping the tray on the only table in the room

"What happened to me..?"Anita ask ignoring Charana's question...

"Why don't you take these drugs first..."Charana said extending a tray of red pills and a bottle of water to her...."It'll make you feel better.."

Andrew jut his chin but never made an eye contact with Anita nor give her a reason to suspect even knowing when what the drugs can do.., earlier on, he thought the doctor was just bluffing when he said someone had paid a price on her head but right now seeing the doctor give her a drug that will make her condition worse has relaxed his doubts...

"All of them...?"Anita ask peering at the 6 red pills on the tray...

"Yes.."Charana said applying a smile

Anita hesitated a bit, but when she got the headaches again, she hand packed the six pills, drop them in her mouth and swallowed them all in a swing, then she collected the water and empty half of it

"How are you feeling now...?"Charana ask dropping the tray...

Anita grimaces at the bitter taste of the drugs...."How did I get here..?"She ask instead

"You were unconscious..."Andrew said taking a step forward..."Your friend brought you here..."

Anita look around again, the bed and the tools around does make the place like an hospital, but a corner, just at a edge was very unkempt and she could tell the room hasn't been swept for days, if not months.....

"Why don't you rest a bit.."Chandra said..."When you wake up, your friend will be here.."

"You haven't still tell me what happened.."Anita said before involuntarily began to scratch her head.., she felt hot, it was more like a hot blazing water was poured on her body..

"Hey just relax on the bed..."Charana said when she began to scratch almost all part of her body...

"What's going on with me..?"Anita manage to ask as she lour down to scratch her legs, then her face.., slowly, she began to get angry when her hand couldn't reach all part of her body..

"Lay down and relax.."Charana said guilding her back to the bed and like a little child, Anita obeyed..

Anita burrowed herself into the rumpled bedsheet but instead of laying down to sleep, she turn back to face her, her eyes peering wide as if she was been woken by a loud sound...

"I'm not supposed to be here.."She said immediately before she stood herself up and step down from the bed...."I..I....., I have a meeting.., I'm supposed to meet with the board member of that company.., I have to tell them.."She scratched her head again, then her face and soon extend to her body..

"Calm down..."Charana said trying to hold her but she hit her hand even before she could touch her....

"You don't understand.."Anita shouted....."I need to get there, I need to tell that the thief stole the story....."She slapped her face to thwart invisible flies, strange thoughts that once sunk her into new realities came and go with graceful ease like they did before...."Yes.."She continued.."He's a thief and he stole my story...., it's my story.."

She look around, her eyes searching for anything, anything dangerous that can cursed death.., she make move the moment she spot a spoilt part of a bed spring laying on the floor..

"Hold her.."Charana told Andrew, she deep her hands into her shirt pocket and took a syringe out..

Andrew sigh and without Anita expecting it, he grabbed her and hit the bed spring from her hand.., a loud scream forces it's way out of Anita's mouth as she struggle against Andrew's hold...

Charana quickly insert the needle into the rubber top, then she pushed the air into the vial, turned the vial upside down and quickly grabbed Anita's right hand.., she hold tight before she injected every content of the syringe inside Anita's body..

Anita weakened against Andrew's hold, her sight became blur, she freed herself and went back into an oblivion of unconsciousness...

"Lay her back on the bed.."Charana said finding a waste bin to dispose the syringe. ..

Andrew lifted Anita up and laid her back on the bed, he lick his lips before his hands began to rub Anita's legs, she was soft, flawless, just the right skin for his dick..

He faked cough and quickly get up to face her...

"Bulchama...."One of the male nurse called but at a safe distance..."Calm down.."He said when Bulchama, one of the mad men in the metal asylum pick up a a scissor from one of the tables in the large eating ground....

Bulchama laugh hysterically, then he frown and snarl...

"Bulchama, please drop the scissor...."The male nurse said slowly walking towards him again, when Bulchama snarl again, he stepped back..

Bulchama smooshed his face in his hands and set his jaw in an uncomfortable angle, but quickly raise his gaze to face the male nurse when he took another step, when he snarl, the male shift back...

"Bulchama.."The nurse said again trying to get his attention as another nurse sneak behind to get the scissor from him..., deep down he knows his colleague was playing a dangerous game, Bulchama had been in the metal asylum for fifteen years, he never heals nor regain his sanity, he only gets worse and worst every passing day, after he killed one of the workers in the hospital, he was restrained and chain in a hole where he can never get in touch with the rest of the insane and sane people, but today he broke him free because he needed to check up on him after so many months of been alone but releasing him had set everyone in danger...

"Bulchama.."he said again grabbing his attention...., he breathe heavily as his colleague drew nearer to Bulchama and with a swing, he collected the scissor from his hand but he was a split second too late, before he could run away with it, Bulchama got hold of his hand, the sudden and forceful hold fell the scissor from his hand before Bulchama lifted him up and slammed his back against the wooden table...

The action erupted a great sound of laughter from the rest of the mad men who were all watching from their cells..., chaos broke loose as other mad men began to shake their gate, while others hitting their head on the iron fighting and screaming to be let loose....., the scream, the clanking noise erupting from the shaking of the bar gates echoed around the building.....

Slowly, the mad man tiptoe to the door.., he laugh silently and placed his hand on the door knob, when he turned the handle, it creaked and open., he laugh again and tiptoe towards Anita.., he nod his head on seeing Anita laying on the bed then he laugh again, his laugh coming out dry and taunting, he creep into the bed and with his dirty and smelling breathe, he set his tongue out and lick Anita's face....

He quickly stood up and laugh again, then he frown and search his eyes around the room.., right there on the floor, he saw something, an old cardboard paper.., he picked it up and lay it on Anita's body, then he turned around and speedily walk out of the room leaving his smelling siliva etched on Anita's face and the cardboard paper.., the cardboard paper that boldly says.....WELCOME TO DONNYS MENTAL ASYLUM....

Susan's lips quivered, her resentment growing inside like a tumour..., she was about exploding when Henry held her shoulder..

Charana scoff and took off her glasses again, all her life she's been threatened with both the law and violence but she have triumphed in all....."I absolutely have no problem with that..."

A look of bitterness swept across Susan's face, she glare at her, every fibre of muscle in her arouses her anger, her rage building like deep water currents but she holds still, glaring at Charana, eyes locked right on her. There is a wrinkle in her nose that has nothing to do with a coming sneeze, muscles tight, jaw clenched. When she took a step, it's like an epic series of movie-stills, fists moving as her face contorts into an expression she's never worn before....., waves of fury rolled off her before she finally opened her mouth to talk..."Try and stop me.."

Susan lean her body on the chair of the tricycle, her eyes shifted to the road again and became glazed with a glassy layer of tears. As she blinked, they dripped from her eyelids and slid down her cheeks. She bit her lip tightly in attempt to hide any sound that wanted to escape from her mouth, her heart sank as she remembered how Anita was taken right in front of her....., her lower lips quivered as words slowly made way out of her mouth....

"I'll stop here.."She said, her words coming in stutters..

The keke driver quickly stopped.., Susan alighted and paid him before she spun around to face the hospital..., she took her phone, search for any missed calls, when she saw none, she kept it back in he pocket, took a sigh before walking into the hospital...

She watched her feet take steps on the hospital ground, she kept her steps at a sedate pace but quickly remenber how important it is to see the doctor, she increase her steps walking as fast as her legs can carry her and finally stopped when she got to the hospital walkway.., she look around, her eyes peering widely at the people passing and sitting.., she quickly ran to a nurse when she saw one..

"Excuse me.."She said walking up to the nurse....

"Hello.."The nurse replied turning to face her..

"Please I need to see the doctor, it's important I see him..."Susan stated with pants breathe

The nurse sigh and drop the book she was holding with her right hand on her left hand..."You see these people.."She said pointing her fingers around..

Susan's eyes followed the direction of her finger but she didn't say anything..., but she quickly guessed how the statement was going to end..

"They're all waiting for the doctor.. "The nurse added

Susan looked at the people sitting and the ones standing all in a queue to see the doctor.., it quickly occur to her waiting for the doctor to show up will be a total waste of time and time is something she don't have...., the thoughts of Anita and what could be happening to her that very moment really bothers her, deep instincts tells her Anita is terribly suffering Wherever she is and for a thing she blames herself for everything that had happened to her.., maybe, just maybe, if she hadn't told her to make that video, non of everything would have befall her...

"We've tried calling him., his number is not connecting..."The nurse added chiming into Susan's thoughts..

Susan took a breather before she hurriedly muff out the words.."Thank you.."

She let her eyes move around a bit before she turned around and began exiting the hospital walkway.., she took her phone out when she got outside and quickly dial Henry's number..., she needed the doctor to accompany her to the psychiatric hospital but since he isn't around.., she just had to go there with Henry alone..

Festus stood up when no one else bothered to get up to get the call.., staggering, he dragged his feet to where the intercom is, hesitated a bit before answering the call...
"What is it..?"He mutter before he sniff..

"Someone is here to see you sir.."The gateman voice sounded from the other end.

"Who..?"Festus ask with a cringe at Samuel..

"She said she's a nurse.., nurse Titi..."

"Nurse Titi.."Festus mouthed at Samuel..

"Send her in.."Festus added when Samuel motioned him with a nod before he dropped the intercom and walk back to his chair playfully touching Success breast in the process..

Success flinched and sat up before she stared at Festus..

"What..!"Festus ask with a shrug....

Success didn't reply, instead she stood up and walked back to her room, what came after was the loud bang of her door...

"I'm going to fùck her tonight.."Samuel said pouring more wine on the glass...

"We're going to fùck her tonight.."Festus said..

Samuel threw him a lopsided grin before he raised his focus to the door.., he watch as the door creak then it opened and Nurse Titi came into sight....

"God you're so bitter.."Samuel said dropping the glass to pour more wine in...

"Tell us.."Festus said.."How did you do it..?"

"I won't want to bore you with the details..."Nurse Titi said..."I've done what you both wanted.., now it's time to delete those videos and pictures of my nudes.."

Nurse Titi took a deep breathe but she wasn't yet convinced..."How do I know you don't have other videos of me..?"

"Well you just have to trust us.."Samuel said

Nurse Titi scoffs almost immediately the words fell out from Samuels mouth....."Trust you.."She said..."I trusted you and you blackmailed me.., I need a clean slate just to be sure you don't have other videos and pictures of me..."

"Did you really send much to the man you thought you were chatting with..?"Samuel quizzed

"And that has taught me so much lesson.., one I'll never forget in a hurry..."

"You mean like this one.."Festus chime in showing her another of her nude picture in his phone..

Her heart sanked.., she hated herself and she fear she might never forgive herself for such terrible mistake..."I was right.., you still have others."

"Yes I do.."Festus said.."I looked at them all night and you know what I've been thinking...?"He ask rhetorically with a cringe at Samuel..."When the hell am i going to see the real thing..."

Nurse Titi scoff realising where Festus is heading...."You want me to strip so you can see the real thing..?"

A sly smile circle Festus lips.."That will be nice..."

Anger thrummed through her veins but she kept her cool, loosing it won't bring her any success...., she wore a smile that disappeared as it came.."That is never happening.."

Festus suck his teeth and glance at Samuel before reverting his gaze to Nurse Titi...."Are you sure about that.., I still have your nude pics.."

Nurse Titi quickly frown at the statement, her resentment festered in her before she blare out.."This wasn't the agreement.."

"The agreement is what we say..."Samuel chime in dropping the wine glass down to pour himself more of the wine...."Come on.., is not like we haven't seen everything on pictures before.., what's there to hide.."

Slowly, engulfed with great anger, she began to clenched her right hand fist.., she was suffocating on her rage and she fear she might lose it...."So you won't delete the video until I strip..?"

"Think of it this way.."Festus said standing up with the intentions of walking to her but instead he remained where he is..."If you don't strip.., we'll upload the videos and pictures we have of you..., wonder the thousand and millions of views you'll get....."He pause waiting for her reaction but all he got was her eyes glaring at him.., too bad he didn't care..."You have a choice here.., either you let only my buddy and I see what you have underneath those clothes or millions of people see it..., your choice.."

A vortex of anger swirled inside her, she hated them and most importantly, she hated herself for getting involve with them...."How do I know you won't still post those pictures online even after I do as you say..?"

A smile circled Francis lips..."You have my word.."

"Like I had your word when you told me you will delete them after I make that girl mad.."She retorted, her words marinating in resentment

"Trust us on this one.."Samuel said emptying the bottle of wine on his glass..

She curl her lips before she managed to unfold her fist..."Let me guess.., after I strip.., the next thing you'll be asking me to do is lay with you two"

Festus shrugged and glance at Samuel.."Well that's a good thought.."He said to her before looking back at Samuel.."What do you think about a hot afternoon threesòme buddy...?"

Samuel scoff and reclined his back on the soft couch..."Strip.."He said to her..."Now.."

She glare at them, a momentary flare of anger flashing in her eyes, there was a breaking point to her patience and everything she can tolerate.., they've crossed the line this time.., she set a foot forward and strongly clenched her fist by her side, she wanted to reach out, to punch their faces, to let them feel the burning ferocity that is lingering inside of her....

"I shouldn't have trust you two.."She said, her voice carrying a thread of anger that went beyond her need to save her dignity..."I'm not going to degrade and embarrass myself in front of you two.., so you know what, keep the videos, the pictures, the chats and whatever the hell you want but know one thing..., you two are going to regret this.."

"Are you threatening us..?"Samuel queried immediately

She raised her brows before a taunting smirk creep into her face..."Are you feeling scared...?"She ask, her rage springing back to life..."I'm done pleading.., I'm done talking to you and I'm done with this whole bullshit, so if you want to leak the videos and pictures online.., you're welcome to go ahead..."

"So you preferred be ruined.."Festus said with clenched teeth.."Think about it.., once your nudes suffice online, your career, your life.., I can't even begin to think what will happen to you.., it'll be disastrous.."

She stepped closer to him, fires of fury and hatred smouldering in her eyes..."What will be disastrous is the comeback..., try me and see.."She said, revert her furious gaze at Samuel before she turned around and walked out of the house not bothering to look back at them, what followed was the loud bang of the door...

"I cannot believe this.."Samuel said chuckling..."Did she just threatened us...?"

"She absolutely did.."Festus said sitting back down...."So what are we going to do about her nudes..?"He ask taking back his wine glass.

"Post them online.."

"What..?, are you serious about that, I was just bluffing.., moreover she's the reason that stupid girl is mad.."

"Didn't you hear what she said.."Samuel said.."She dare to threaten me.., I want her nudes online, let's see if she can act on her threat.., I want to see what she's capable of..."

When the sun rises casting the trees in their virescent hues and bringing the warm brown tones back to the earth, Samuel feels something new. It's as if invisible holes were poked in his skin during the night and all his tension leeched out, his steps feel lighter and he tilts his face toward the brilliant shafts breaking through the foyer as he walk towards his car...

"Nananananana..."Festus intoned with joy counting his steps....."I cannot believe what just happened..."

Samuel gave him a lopsided grin as his hands grazed the cheque in his pocket, to him, his new crazy happiness was like a cloudless free day, a kind of day you don't notice the weather..

"That crazy girl is really mad.."Festus blare out with smiles glowing all over the corners of his mouth..

Samuel didn't reply, instead he hasten his feet, when he got to his car, he look around before he opened the backseat door and climbed in, Festus climbing in after him...

"You succeeded didn't you..?"Success ask the moment Samuel settled down..., her mind brood over that moment she saw those men dragging Anita out of the building and dragging her into an ambulance.., she hates herself, hates the fact that she couldn't do anything then and can't do anything now even after knowing the truth.......

"How could you do this..?"She latched out..

"Will you shut your mouth..?"Samuel sneer...."If you keep saying rubbish, you'll end up as her, do you understand that you moròn...?"

"No I don't understand..."Success fling back..."I don't understand why you should make her mad when you could have won her with words.. "

"Stop saying rubbish.."Festus chime in.."That good for nothing lunatic got mad herself even after she thwart all our plans..."

"No one gets mad herself.., somebody made her mad.."Success said trimming down her voice when the driver joined them..

"Well it's a good thing if someone did it.."Festus said.."Hold on.."He added when he remembered Nurse Titi earlier call...."Do you remenber that stupid nurse called before we went in.."

"You think she did it..?"Samuel ask, the corners of his lips curving into a smile..

"She didn't exactly say she did it.., she did say something about a bomb.."

"Well whatever she did..."Samuel said reclining his back on the chair..."She did it well.."

Her eyes still frozen wide in an expression of stunned surprise, as if the impact of what just happened to Anita had knocked every wisp of air from her lungs, and she just stood confused, struggling to inhale, to exhale, to do anything....., Susan replaced the phone on her ear only to realise the call had ended a second later.., she tried to breathe but breath eluded her.., when her phone rang again, she quickly touched the answer icon only to realise how fatal answering the call was when she couldn't fit the phone in her ears, her fingers were jumping rhythmically as if in spasm from the shock..

"Susan are you there...?"Henry's agitated voice sounded from the other end..

Blood drained from Susan's face as her mouth open and shut down like a goldfish with no sound coming out

"Hello Susan.."Henry said again, his voice sounding more anxious with a touch of fear..."Susan talk to me.., what's going on..?"

Susan didn't reply, couldn't reply, instead she stood staring into an open space gormlessly as a guppy, her head scrambling hard to comprehend what just happened...

"Susan.."Henry shouted from the other end..

The sudden shout jolted her from her shock.., she took a pause from her stunned expression to take a breather before allowing more tears to run from her eyes...

"Susan talk to me.., Susan.."Henry voice came again

"They took her.."Susan said sniffing tears back in..

"They took who.., what are you talking about..?"

Susan turned to face the direction Anita was taken again, her tears came rolling unchecked down her cheeks and just when she was about replying Henry, that was when she heard a sound that almost stopped her heart..., she spun around with the alertness of the horn of the car approaching her...., she got confused on where to turn for a bit before she finally jolted out from her day dream and jumped out of the road.., she lost her balance and fell, her back landing with a heavy painful thud on the hot sand.., when she raised her face, she saw the black jeep windscreen that almost hit her winding down and there he was, hers and Anita's greatest enemy, a detesful smirk curling the corners of his mouth but before she could get up to react, he wind back up and the tyres ricocheted off speedily...

Emotions swirled around Susan eyes, Each new wave a hot trail of agony as slim, bare shoulders shook in each rake of emotion through her frame. Fire of shame and anger burned just under her skin and a deep emptiness filled her heart as the sentiments brewed over and boiled past the seams she could no longer hold together and just then she latched out......."I hate you.."

She sobbed into her hands and the tears dripped between her fingers, raining down onto the parched sand. Her breathing was ragged, gasping and the strength left her legs. She sank to her knees not caring about the grit that dug into her knees. She was noisy, her skin was blotched but there, no one cared to witness it let alone come to comfort her....

"Susan what's going on..?"Henry's voice came again

Pain flashed in her eyes but she ignored it and stood up immediately ., she looked towards Samuel's car stretching her eyes as long as it could go..

"Susan are you there..?"Henry's voice came again..

She swallowed hard, wipe her tears and took the phone back to her ears.., just then it occured to her.., what happened to Anita was intentional.., someone wanted her mad and they succeeded and only one name came ringing in her head...SAMUEL.

"Hello Susan..."

"He succeeded.. "She said looking back to see if the car was still in sight but it wasn't..

"Who succeeded,..what are you talking about...?"Henry ask anxiously

Anger burned deep inside Susan as she remembered what happened inside the board room...

"Susan please talk to me.., your silence and yell is making me scared.."Henry said

"They made Anita mad."She said, her voice trailing slowly before the tears came running back down her cheeks..

"What...!.., what do you mean they made her mad.., I don't understand.., what happened..?"

"I don't know.."Susan blare out..."One minute she was fine and the second she was acting insane.., and then they took her...., they took her Henry, they took her.."

"Who took her.., what happened..?"

"Look Henry..., I need to find her.., some people came and they said they were taking her to Donnys psychiatric hospital.., do you know the place..?"

"I do.."Henry said.."But what's going on Susan, what happened at the board meeting.., and what do you mean by Anita is mad..?"

"I'll explain okay.., just tell me where this hospital is..."

"Okay where are you, I want to come there...."

Susan sigh and look around, her eye caught the enormous building in front of her, she knew going back into the company to tell them Samuel made Anita mad was useless.., they must have probably believe everything Samuel told them....

"Meet me at the hospital.."She said sniffing

"Fine what hospital..?"

"Same one Anita was taken to..., I need to speak to the doctor..."

"Alright, I'll be there.."Henry said, muff a few more words before he ended the call..

"Come come.."The man said to his friend as they ran towards the car.....

"Do you think anyone is inside.....?"His friend ask

The man bowed down, shock raced across his face when he saw a man inside the vehicle..

"Someone is inside.."He said immediately poking his head inside..

"He's probably dead.."His friend said.."No one can survive this.."

The man ignore his friend's words and touch the man.., then he drag him out from the vehicle

"He's all bloody..."His friend said.."He's dead..."

The man sigh then he lean his ear to the man's chest, shocked he raise his gaze to his friend..."He's still breathing but it's faint..."

"Impossible.."His friend said dropping the cutlass he's holding to walk towards him..

"Do you think he has money..?"The man ask

"Let's check.."The friend said as he lowered to check him.., he check his pocket and took out a wallet.., when he opened it, he saw a few thousand notes and an ID card.....

"He's a doctor.."He said showing the ID to his friend...."His ID says Doctor Bright..."

The moment the driver packed the car.., Samuel alighted from the vehicle followed by Festus who came down from the other side..., Samuel breathe in the fine air of his apartment.., it was refreshing.., it ought to be refreshing.., he just won a case he was scared of.., for a moment.., for just a moment before the board meeting,. He thought he will lose everything to Anita...

"Come on man., let's celebrate...."Festus said taking his eyes from Success who was walking towards the threshold of the apartment...

"If she will be a threat, we need to get rid of her.."Samuel said

"Who Success...?"Festus ask looking back at Success who was already at the door.."Come on man, give her some credits.., I doubt she'll do anything that could jeopardize everything you've worked for.."

Samuel didn't believe.., deep instincts tells him not to trust her.., he sigh and just when he was about opening his mouth to talk.., his phone rang.., he took it out from his pocket and hiss when he saw the caller...

"Who's calling..?"Festus ask

"That stupid police officer.."Samuel sneer before answering the call...

"Officer.."He added when the call connected

"Samuel.."Sergeant Owen voice came up from the other end..."I'm yet to see an alert of my balance.."

Samuel quickly frown at the statement..., he already paid the inspector four hundred thousand naira for arresting Anita, he has no intention if paying the balance of six hundred thousand naira.., that was an agreement made in the heat of that moment....

"We made an agreement Samuel.."Sergeant Owen's voice came again before Samusl could reply..."I was supposed to receive my balance yesterday but I've seen nothing till now.., what's holding it..?"

"Give me some time officer.."Samuel said with curled lips...."I'll pay you the balance.."

"When..?"Sergeant Owen ask

"Probably tomorrow..."Samuel said

"Probably..!"Sergeant Owen reiterated..."That doesn't sound like enough assurance but I'll be holding you to your word.., but know this Samuel, if I don't get my money before the end of tomorrow..., you'll regret it.."

Samuel eyes burn with anger and quickly he wrapped his hand into a fist before the call dropped and ended...., he dropped the phone from his ear and turn to face his car...

"Ungrateful fool.."Samuel sneer...
