Try finish your school. If you are an excellent video editor in Nigeria, it won't matter that you graduated with third class. But it will matter a lot that you did not graduate at all. That will always hang over your head. I know friends who are earning fat salaries working as software engineers because they taught themselves how to code. However, having that third class degree they graduated with was one of the things that got their foot in the door in the first place.

How about I take a break for the meantime. What do you suggest?

Hello nairalanders. I am in urgent need of advice for my predicament. I wrote my final exam papers early this year but I have 2 more extra year due to some exams I still have to write and my industrial training. My GP is terrible and I'm generally bad at academics as a result of my course of study which I absolutely detest. Now, I'm learning video editing and motion design online and I am getting good at it. I am contemplating dropping out of school entirely to focus on this field as it has proven to be very lucrative for others in it. I haven't told anyone this yet but I need your advice please. Should I ditch school completely and focus on my craft or waste 2 years in school finishing a course I have zero interest in?
