Example on Sarrus Rule when finding determinant of 3x3 matrix UTME 2014 Question 24 visit http://mca-biz.com/wxHKv for the question/ solution of this particular question
|
This method only works for 3×3 matrices. Given a matrix A of order 3×3. To apply sarrus rule, copy the first and second column of A to form fourth and fifth columns. The determinant of A is then obtained by adding the products of the three “DOWNWARD DIAGONALS” and subtracting the products of the three “UPWARD DIAGONALS” as shown Thus, the determinant of 3 × 3 matrix A is given by the following a1b2c3 + b1c2a3 + c1a2b3 – a3b2c1 – b3c2 a1 – c3 a2 b1 For solution on Utme and waec past questions on maths visit http://mca-biz.com/zpA5w

Mathematically in base 6, Digit 7 does not exist. So the question is wrong. Take a good and observant look at the question again. 726 cannot exist. It is totally out of place when working in base 6 Kylekent59: |
Question 4 Convert 726 to a number in base 3 A. 2211 B. 2121 C. 1212 D. 1122 UTME 2012;type yellow Solution You don't need to work the question, because in base 6, digit 7 does not exist. (0,1,2,3,4,5 are the allowed numbers in base 6) |

(A) 200mins (B) 460mins (C) 720 mins (D) 960 mins Solution The total time from the given graph above is 80+160+200+80+120+70=710 None of the options are correct UTME 2013, Type I, Question 40 http://mca-biz.com/cdnvn

I have to do this compilation so that students sitting for UTME do not fall into the pitfall of just "playing poll" with the options. It is better for them to omit shading such answer because of negative marking, if they notice the answer they got is not in the potion provided You can visit http://mca-biz.com/zpA5w to all solution to JAMB/UTME past questions on maths from 2000-2015 Question 1 UME 2008, Question 2 on Number Based System http://mca-biz.com/Auis9
