Why Jesus is God
1. Been a Son of God makes JESUS God. One of the bones of contention the Jews had with Jesus, is that He called Himself the SON OF GOD. The Jews understood that once someone claims that attribute of BEING THE SON OF GOD, that PERSON IS GOD
Joh_5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Joh 10:31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Joh 10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

2.The Father proclamation about Jesus Himself: In the book of Hebrews 1, The author, through the inspiration of the HOLY SPIRIT reveals that Jesus is superior to prophets and angels and also reveals the mind of God about Jesus Himself.
Heb 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
God says about his Son (Jesus) that He is God. This particular verse reveals that God himself called Jesus his Son and also refers to HIM as GOD (Thy Throne of GOD)

3. The Attribute of Jesus HIMSELF: In the Book of revelation, Jesus reveals himself to John the Apostle, his beloved disciple who HE is
Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
These revealed attributes of Jesus are the very attribute of God.
God is the Alpha and Omega
God is the Beginning and Ending
God is the Almighty …This is very attribute God revealed Himself to Abraham in Genesis17:1

4. The Testimony of the Scripture:
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
It is only Jesus who became flesh, who was with God in the beginning!

5. Only God can forgive sin, and we see Jesus forgiving people their sins.
Mar 2:5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
Mar 2:6 But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
Mar 2:7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
(Mark2:5-7).

Answer: No you cannot, because there is no infidelity involved but you are allowed to separate (not divorce) from him/her. I mean live apart

The reason is for marriage more than child bearing, it is actually to deal with loneliness (it is not good for man to be alone, the Lord says in Gen 2:18) . So if your reason for seeking divorce, is because of barrenness and impotency. You never understood the original reason why marriage was instituted. If he/she is violent, uncaring, or you noticed too much of 3rd party influences in your marriage, you can seek counselling and help to overcoming such issues in your marriage, possibly leave apart for awhile you trash out issues among yourselves to save your marriage.
Question: Can I separate from my spouse because I cannot not endure the marriage any longer?
Answer: Yes, you can separate from your spouse (not divorce) since there is no immoral act involved but you cannot remarry. If do remarry, you are committing adultery

But you should consider what God asked the prophet Hosea to do with his wayward wife
Hos 3:1 Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
Hos 3:2 So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
Hos 3:3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.
Hosea’s wife, after being married, was still been bent on committing adultery, yet the Lord demanded the prophet to reconcile with his adulterous wife. Adultery is bad, and God hates it, but God still wants harmony in marriages and house.
Question: I have separated from my spouse and I have no plan of returning back to him/her. Can I remarry!
Answer: No, you cannot remarry as long as your estrange spouse is alive. You have to wait for him/her to die before you can remarry.
Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
Rom 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

The scripture should get us disturbed as to why the saints of God should be crying after finally making it to Heaven. They should be rejoicing but instead they are crying that God has to wipe those tears from their faces. We need to search the scripture as to why some Christians will cry even though they made to it Heaven.
The following are some reasons the Holy Spirit laid on my heart.

1. Handling the work of God with levity and carefree attitude.
1Co 3:10 According to the grace of God which was given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder I laid a foundation; and another buildeth thereon. But let each man take heed how he buildeth thereon.
1Co 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1Co 3:12 But if any man buildeth on the foundation gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, stubble;
1Co 3:13 each man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself shall prove each man's work of what sort it is.
1Co 3:14 If any man's work shall abide which he built thereon, he shall receive a reward.
1Co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as through fire.

Paul writing to the Christians at Corinth, attest that God will test everybody works, by passing them through fire, if our works were destroyed by fire, No reward for us! That will get us crying friends, that all our toiling and labour for the Master is just in vain. It behooves to that whatever assignments or work that God committed into our hands be done with all seriousness, so that we will not suffer lose on that day of reckoning and to start weeping.

2. The neglect of soul winning: God has made us watchmen over souls, we are to win the souls of the lost to the Master who called into His service. When we get to Heaven, God will request how many souls did we bring to Him. He will cry when we discover how many people are languishing in hell because we refuse to open our mouth to evangelize and bring them to the Master. All the deeds of kindness and mercy we ought to perform to bring people to the Lord that we neglected because of self centeredness and greed , now those people are now in Hell where God prepared for Satan and demons. Friends, we will cry before the Lord that day because of this!. When we don’t see our family members and friends in heaven, is that not enough to get us crying. Let us witness and evangelise

2.Maltreatment of our fellow Believers: I have my fair share of slander and defamation, a so call brother did all his best to hinder me from fulfilling a goal. I almost left the Lord, but for His Grace and Mercy. When that brother gets to Heaven, and stand before Lord and God shows him how much damage he did to me, he will cry! How are treating how fellow believers? Are we maligning them, we are slandering them. Let us beware that those maltreated brothers and sisters are sick and tired of the Christian’s faith and are almost about dumping the Jesus they once professed they believed on. When eventually you and I made it to Heaven, we will cry for the maltreatment we meted out to our fellow Christian brothers and sisters

3. Unfulfilled assignment given to us by God: It was T.L. Osborn that said “Nobody will do your assignment for you, if you don’t finished it. I hope that get us humbled and sober. Paul writing to Colossians instructed them to tell Archippus to make sure that he finishes his assignment (Col 4:7) . God has given each and every one of us an assignment, a ministry to wait upon. If you are a father or mother , at least to train up your children in the way of the Lord and to nurture them in the fear of God. As for Virgin Mary, to show an example that God will use virgins for special purpose and to provide parenthood for Jesus. She did the job so well. John the Baptist to turn the heart of people back to God and to reveal Jesus as the Messiah and he did that job so well and completed it and Jesus attested to it. We must strive with all our might to finished all the assignment God has for us, for not completing them , we leave a vacuum that only in eternity God can remedy. Imagine if Jesus never made to it the cross., we can’t be talking about salvation. Imagine if Tyndale never finished the translating the Bible to English today, I don’t think we can be talking of the King James Version. Let us strive to discover and complete all our God given assignments.
Prayer: Lord, Help me to do all the needful while I am here with all my strength and might so that I won’t need to cry while I am before You in Jesus name. Amen.

One of the most confused set of people in the Bible days are the Sadducees, you might ask why? Because these religious folks don’t believe in resurrection yet came to Jesus asking who among the seven brothers will marry a woman in the resurrection, since the seven married her on earth
Mat 22:23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,
Mat 22:28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
Reading the two verses (Matthews 22:23 and Matthews 22:28), you will understand why they are confused!
You don’t believe in resurrection, yet you are asking “Whose wife will she be in the resurrection for the seven brothers married her”
The major trust of this write up is based on the question the Sadducees asked and the apt response of the Lord Jesus Christ
Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. (Matt 22:28)
Mat 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
The response of the Lord is worth pondering upon why there won’t be marriage in eternity or in the resurrection. There are some deductions from Jesus’ statement

1. Death brings a permanent end to marriage. From Jesus’ statement, for in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage… It is dead people who will experience resurrection. This agrees with what Paul wrote in Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

2. It is wrong to remarry after the ones’ spouse dies because it will be tantamount to adultery. Since he/she has passed on, you are supposed to wait to join him/her to continue the marriage. Remarriage will not possible if there is marriage after death or in the resurrection.

3. The state of our being changes from mortal to immortal: Jesus says “In the resurrection, they shall be like Angels of God in Heaven.” Marriage was never ordained for Angels, but for man. In the resurrection, man will be changed to receive a celestial body (that is heavenly) no more dying, more need to procreate in order to fill the vacuum the dead ones create. One sole reason for marriage is to procreate, and fill the surface of the earth. There won’t the need for that any more, since there will be change of the state of man, from dust to celestial. People won’t die any more. So there is no need for marriage in eternity.
