Good evening my people. I am here to seek for your professional opinion/advice on how to start up a Chemist/Pharmacy business. I have been thinking of creating another source of income to compliment my monthly salary as a Naval Personnel. So, I later concluded that I will venture into Chemist or Pharmacy business for my fiancé(who has the experience) to manage for me.

However, I would like you people to guid me on the following;
* the preferable choice to make between establishing a Pharmacy shop and a Chemist shop
* the steps involve
* the risk involve
* the cost of establishment
* the requirements

Note: I am not a Chemist nor a Pharmacist, I am just a mere Microbiologist. But my girl has been working for a very long time in a reputable pharmacy.

He is my Coursemate, we trained in the same division back then in 2018. He never knew much about Navy before joining, so he applied for withdrawal few months after our training, but Navy are yet to respond to it, that's why he is doing his comedy skit. Without that, you can't be running media related business together with military work. Armed forces in Nigeria forbid it.

It's like you don't understand English at night. I told you that I joined Navy with my ND result immediately after my NYSC. Does that mean that I served NYSC with ND result?

Op, I am a Naval Personnel, I joined Navy with ND also, immediately after my NYSC. My sincere advice to you tonight is to join Navy if you have the privilege/opportunity, you will not regrate it at last. Moreover, your discipline during your ND program determines the field you will join in the Navy. You will enjoy the job most if your discipline is medically related. This is because all your posting(we call it drafting) will be from one hospital to another, you will hardly handle riffle(unless the need arises). You can still run your business while you are working(as far as you have somebody managing it for you). I myself is making a plan of opening a chemist shop for by babe to manage cos she has the knowledge. You will be given one rank ahead of your mate that joined with O-level, and those that joined with ND in another branch other than medical branch, engineering department and computer department. If you are eventually given a rank above your mate, that have automatically place your salary[which is roughly above 100k(basic salary and allowances)] almost 2x your mate with O-level. I may not be able to tell you everything you need to know here due to some reasons, but am asuring you that the advice am giving you now is the same advice that I will give to my blood brother if he is the one.
Note: You will not have a full time for yourself as soon as you join Nigerian Military. Your service owns you, they release you when they want(though you will have a benefit of annual leave).
Follow this advice and thank me later.
