Just like JCFLEX rightly said, even if you are opportune to do Master's with HND, you will only be admitted into professional Master's programme which will not subject you to rigorous academic exercise like academic Master's... That is why academic Master's has advantage over professional Master's with which you can take executive position in the industry or lecturing appointment...
Some of us knew of this from onset , that is why we had endeavour to study from one university to another up to PhD

This discrimination and disparity between HND and Degree is too enormous, still got me wondering why some people opt for polytechnic, it's better u run your 4 years degree course in the university, u can go any where with your degree both here and abroad in terms of continuing education or seeking for employment, it gets crazier when you go to the labour market seeking employment, the discrimination gets more annoying, most employers will first of all consider the degree holders before thinking of HND, hell I have been to several interviews where the interviewers group the HND, ND and school cert leavers in one group and degree in the other,
at the end degree holders mostly got employed while HND and the rest was left hanging, it's too bad, will not advice anyone to buy a polytechnic form, degree is everything especially when no one is assisting you with employment,

with my degree when I applied to do my masters in Canada, it was effortless, Nah money remain now make I japa, everything don set, i applied 5 different Schools for my masters in canada, all gave me admission

Wow..congratulations... I chose polytechnic not because I like it but because I was not having a good O-level result then, it was thereafter(during my ND1) that I made my WAEC and I was too anxious to enter school then, because I had a very good score in my jamb back then in 2011.

Though, some private universities in Nigeria or foreign universities can offer admission into Master's degree programme without PGD but it is only ideal if you will operate in the industry after your study, just as MBA is only useful in the industry...
So, if you will end up in the academic environment it is better to go through proper conversion, HND/B.Sc or PGD... Ordinarily to proceed to university for further study from lower tertiary institutions that runs sub degree programmes you need conversion at any stage or entry point such as JAMB Direct Entry, HND to BSc conversion, Post Graduate Diploma

Thanks so much for this...I am a Naval Personnel, I joined Nigerian Navy with my ND result. So I am planning to proceed in my career with a higher certificate. Currently Navy, don't accept Microbiology unless the person has PGD. I was lucky enough and the same time unlucky this year to get Navy DSSC with my HND(microbiology) result due to the strong hand that helped me, but I was along the line dropped because of Hermia(which I just did the surgery a month ago). So, my priority is to further more in my career via DSSC.

As I was making enquiry on the best institution to offer PGD with my HND microbiology result, someone told me that I can proceed for masters without PGD as far as I have UPPER CREDIT. How true is this please? I thought it's only BSC holders with FIRST CLASS and SECOND CLASS UPPER that can do that, is HND now applicable?

He is a listening governor, He has his people at heart, he is a pure definition of a good leader. I am an Easterner but I am in full support of him come rain come shine, any day anytime. Zulum is a man of the people.

Not really that way, he has once last year came to my Mom to collect 5k for registration for each person, which my Mom gave him 10k for 2 persons. Now, he said that he used his money to pay for the remaining 3persons which we are going to refund him after receiving the money and also all the expenses he made during the process. This particular form now is to be submitted with #500 each.

One of my family friends brought a form to us to fill, he said that the form is from TELPECON.
In the form, we are required to fill in our bank details(including BVN).

He said that TELPECON is a Non Governmental Organization(owned by foreigners) that want to help some people out from poverty. He said that each person is entitled to get 2m, and the money will be paid before end of this month. He said that he has been attending their meetings since last year.

I have tried my best to search and know more about it on google, but the result I got is not enough for me to make a decision especially when it involves someone's bank details.

Pls my people, is there anything like that or is it another means to deceive gullible Nigerians and extort their money?

Oh...I understand bro...the break she had then has effect sincerely..If JAMB decides to conduct UTME exam next year it will be better...but FG is the one to put a say because UTME may not be conducted next year because this year candidates haven't resume...A'level exams are cost and I don't think you can afford it due to the financial constraints...the best for her is to write another UTME....

It depends on how joined. You can join as a rating cadet using your SSCE or ND or NCE, you can join as an officer cadet using your HND or BSC or PGD result and you can join as an officer cadet too via NDA.

Why wasting precious time and effort writing jamb over and over again.Here in Benin Republic you get admitted without jamb result and still go for NYSC after completion of program.

the best thing you can do for your sister now is to advise her to go learn a trade or skill. cos based on her performance in jamb, she'll struggle to even graduate with a pass in any Nigerian uni.

I was very good in Mathematics and Chemistry but was not good at all in English(due to the school I attended) during my Secondary school days. I got 197 in my Jamb back then in 2010 which I used to study Microbiology in a Private Polytechnic. But do you know that I started learning how to speak correct English in my year ONE(though I still have loop holes), but I thank God I graduated with 2.1..... So, what am trying to say is that she can still improve, it is all about determination and hard working.
