Some peeps would have gone around scaring people with what Luluosas shared for free here, he even went to the extend of responding to issues that people has concerning this stuff. the stuff will soon be restored because this morning, glo is having general issues with their bb connection, mine got connect for about 30 mins this morning.

Don't attack me bros, i wanted to know if he was experiencing same issue. We do share experience here.

I just hope it is not blocked because a friend is chatting me right now with his blackberry phone on Glo Comonth plan.

I doubt it is a network problem. A friend is chatting me now with his blackberry using blackberry comonth plan.

We are here to help one another, nobody knows all. @luluosas cannot insult you (Mr. dizzy), it was a misunderstanding.

I had issue initially in using my Glo SIM with a Wifi modem, it was here i was advised to do "Welcome Back". And this solved the problem.

@Mr. drizzy your case is unusual as all the people i know have their data volume rolled over after subsequent subscription. It is either you are doing something wrong or your profile settings at Glo is wrong.

In order to dig deep into the issue, let us know your previous and your current Glo data plan.

Cant understand you clearly.

However, you can put your Glo SIM that has Glo BIS plan inside your modem. You only need to manually configure the APN settings unlike Airtel that is auto-configured. I do use a friend Glo SIM with bis on in order to exhaust the monthly data plan.

You can, if you re on the same plan.

If you are on Coweek or Comonth subscribe to Coweek or Comonth.
but if you are on Soweek or Somonth subscribe to Soweek or Somonth.

You data will be rolled over.


You can only get 700mb (for Coweek or Soweek) or 3072mb (for Comonth or Somonth) if your unused data is not rolled over.

I'm doing this because I hate it when people move from iPhone to blackberry. To me, it's like moving from a castle to a hut.

Ekennovative: I'm using Huawei universal modem and it occationally switches to either EDGE or 3G at will. The EDGE is very slow, is there any way that I can make 3G the default connection?

Glo data service is generally not stable and it mainly depends on your area as some locations cannot even get 3G. So your Huawei modem is not the cause of the fluctuation, it is Glo data network.

However, there is a way to make your settings 3G permanently, but you won't have network if only EDGE is available. So you are advised to prefer auto mode which allows you Internet access irrespective of available network.

3G will automatically be preferred over EDGE if is set at Auto mode.

Baba how do u use ds plan on iphone, help a broda out. Currently am using airtel 1Gb bundle for 1,200 whereas I can get a 3Gb bundle with glo @ d same price.

Simple. Just subscribe to Glo blackberry plan, Somonth (N1,200) preferably, by sending somonth to 777.
Then go and edit your APN settings.

Settings ----> General ----> Network ----> Cellular Data Network. for iOS 5


Settings ----> General ----> Cellular ----> Cellular Data Network. for iOS 6

Then type:

APN: blackberry.net
Username:
Password:

Leave Username & Password fields blank.

I cannot even migrate because of 5mb. Nonsense! What would i use 5mb for? Not even enough for IM in a day.

Kamaye: No not at all, I subscribe to the weekly plan which has 700mb data cap I watch nigeria's match against burkina faso with about 300mb of data. the remaining 400mb will be enough for me throughout the week for my facebook and twitter that's all.
