Finally, I can browse with my old Glo SIM after I did Welcome back. The CC lady actually told me nothing was wrong with my SIM. But I insisted she should go on with welcome back.

Jeffy1206: all u needed was just to do a welcome back or sim swap of ur sim card,dat will update de sim card. U beta go ti deir office and do as said and don't waste dat precious 3gig!!

After i could not browse with my line even when all settings are right, i bought a new SIM today and I was able to browse with a new line with coweek using my ZTE mobile hotspot. This is to confirm that not all Glo SIMs are working especially old ones.

What can i do with my old SIM that refuses to browse despite having 3072MB on it? I have sent a mail to Glo Backberry Customer Care, but no reply.

nsidible: may itz ur sim.all glo sim re not d same.especially the old ones.itz only glosecure or glowap dat work wit them.these re sims released b4 d introduction sells of mb/data.they were sims used for pays as u go.contact ur customer care.i'm talking 4rm experience cuz ma bro sim don't even connect to gloflat.only glosecure nd glogwap.very old glo sim

luluosas: OK. Leave it on 'Automatic' and it ought to work there.
Please, check if your configuration is correct. APN, blackberry.net while space for username and password should be left empty. Then, make sure this profile is set as your 'Default' and try again. If does not still work, do snap the screenshot for us to better understand your situation.
By the way, is your BB plan active already? Just text 'Status' to 777 now and post the result you will receive here. Thank you.

My BB is activated. I have 3072MB comonth plan.

ciphoenix: MTN Yes, but with a VPN. The happy fact is it also works without the VPN (and surprisingly faster without it) but i'm yet to figure out the mechanism involved. For now, its a crude method, needs to be refined

No option for WCDMA Preferred, but the following:
1. Automatic
2. WCDMA Only
3. GSM Only

I have tried the above 3 options, but all to no avail.

Who has tried it on ZTE universal modem? It is still showing disconnected on my modem despite having 3072MB.

Take Bold 2 if you are bold to pay the money. OS is the difference. Symbian OS cant stand BB OS.

bukason: yeah, i installed downloads pro, isocial & qtweetes b4 d phone hung up. D 3g was on, whatsapp, ucbrowser & music was playin wen d whole drama started.

Try & do hard reset, then uninstall those tweaks you just installed. They are the cause of the crash.

Be careful with tweaks especially the cracked ones, u could lose your jailbreak & apps.

U can install Apps from Apple AppStore & cydia store when your iPhone is jailbroken. WhatsApp is an app from Apple AppStore, so go & search AppStore & install WhatsApp messenger.
If u don't know how to search AppStore then u need to trade ur iphone with Nokia 3310. ℓ☺ℓ.

Enabling Personal Hotspot allows you to share your iPhone's Internet connection via Wifi, Bluetooth or USB. Make sure Internet Tethering settings is correct.

The insults aside, these debates have been fun. Its interesting seeing the passion people have for their mobile phones and some of us have learnt a little about how these smartphones work. The phones section is now the new romance . Maybe we'll all go back to discussing boring apps later but this has been fun.
