I know this is slightly off topic, but I have being looking for 3dmax software with the corresponding vray to install on my new system but haven't gotten any. I tried the software guys at zone 3 in Abuja, but its still doesn't work. I will be grateful if anyone here can be of assistance, even if I have to pay a little something for it. |
PapaBrowne: Bros! I Like your speech! Very apt. Please post some pics if possible. I might be needing your services on a commercial retail project.don't have pictures on my phone, will have to upload them from my PC. Better still you can send me your Email address and I will forward a PDF copy of my portfolio to you... If you are in Abuja, you can also look up my last project, a restaurant in Asokoro. |
I totally agree with the observations about interiors. It is sad when people beat their chest to say they built their house for N100-N200million. Yet when you enter these buildings, there is nothing to wow you about them. Government buildings are even the worst culprits. Visit some of our so called muti-stars hotels and you will be disappointed. The interiors lack character, you don't know if it is Contemporary style, Classical, Art Deco or Minimalist. They just lump everything together, creating a horrible collage of mis-matched elements. Secondly, most people here still don't know what the whole concept of Interiors is all about. They wait until the entire building has being completed and plastered then, they call the Interior Architect to come and do the painting and POP. Not knowing that it goes way beyond that. Interior Design should include Spatial planning, circulation, space layout, Natural and artificial Lighting, furniture distribution etc. the Designer should be involved as soon as the floor plans are ready. He should be given a copy of the building plans to edit and input his own design right from the onset before construction commences. It is important that the Designer is responsible for even the tinniest of details down to the location of light switches and dimmers. It is all of these tiny details that come together to give that wow factor to every interior. I know some clients are difficult to convince, but after a good project it shouldn't be a problem. I just finished a Restaurant in Asokoro, Abuja. And it was only after we completed the project that the client truly understood and appreciated what I had being saying all along. |
It is funny how almost every corper is declaring that the haven't received their allowances... But when they get paid eventually, only a few will acknowledge publicly that they have received it...hmm money and im spirit ![]() |
Ikenna God bless you...you know what you are talking about. I have heard so many terrible things about 406 from people whom have never sat in the drivers seat before. But I still went ahead to buy it. The car did not disappoint me. Infact two of the people that discouraged me the most are both driving 406 now, after seeing how well mine serves me. The only problem I had initially was the I didnt have a good mechanic. The one I had was using my car to do 'Practicals'. Today he will say its the gasket, after changing that he will call another thing. It was when he mentioned Radiator cover that my eyes cleared. I was then introduced to this guys in Gudu, Abuja. They are very good and affordable. I advice all those in Abuja to look them up. They are just behind Bay-Town Lounge. |
I Don't understand what you mean by Nigerians in Diaspora with Foreign Passport. Because I simply cannot understand why a Nigerian will not make the necessary sacrifices to acquire a Nigerian passport, which by all means is his legitimate entitlement. Of course, am aware of the inconveniences involved but isn`t that child's play compared to the hassles of applying for a Nigerian visa? Sometimes I just have a weird feeling that those of us living abroad are always in an unwarranted haste to differentiate ourselves from those living in Nigeria, whatever it takes, including boasting about getting a Nigerian visa to visit Nigeria. Besides, without a Passport, how do we know who is a Nigerian and who isn't? It is unfortunate that we do not have an elaborate social security scheme like other developed country, hence we must learn to do things within our means. As for the 10 years Visa, I don't want to believe that the Government will start implementing it right away. I still think the Nigerian Government needs to put together a proper framework before implementing the policy. We have a very ineffective immigration service hence, it will be difficult to even know when the scheme is being abused. It is a good policy but I think the President is jumping the gun. HE must ensure that all the necessary loopholes are plugged before going ahead with these policy. |
