Guykhena:Me too, I can relate more with the latter coz it's part and parcel of most (if not all) Nigerian children. The first is more complex, that's why I gave both examples, so you can finally choose one out of the pool of choices the other judges will suggest from. |
Guykhena:First topic: Alternative Ego. Here the finalists are meant to vividly paint a picture of a/their real or imaginary alternate ego whose subconscious takes over at a particular point in its/their life/lives. Serenading us with its/their activities, modus operandi, the struggle to keep in touch with its existence, the pains of trying to control this alternate ego from spiraling out of control, the pains of people thinking he's mad for suggesting there exist a different him from the normal him everyone already knows, its merits and demerits, etc. Second topic: Childhood Superstitions. Both finalists are required to talk about the various superstitions they encountered whilst growing up, the positive or negative impact it had on them and if possible, still has on them till this day. The fears it brought to them, the good things they lost while clinging onto them, and most importantly, the major roles they think they play in shaping the lives of the average Nigerian toddler. |

Fynestboi:I'd have loved to be one, but I'd be traveling tomorrow to a place I doubt service would be effective as I want, and I wouldn't want to ruin such a great debate with my absence on the day I'm meant to serve as a judge. |
AdeLaNa1:I've been avoiding United thread or matches for the past 4 matches coz it's hurtful watching these piglets called Utd players; but I watched today's match coz of the much better line-up and I wasn't too disappointed, just a bit. I made some observations from today's matches: 1. Gaal is our problem. From not buying the better players, to choosing the wrong line-ups, to not having the balls to bench the wrong player, to being too stubborn to admit he's getting things wrong, to selling needful players, to using the right players in the WRONG position. In short, he has no football sense. 2. Young can't cross a ball to save his life. He's a fantastic player, plays with his heart on his sleeve, but his end product is frustrating. If we had someone like Valencia or Rafael to whip in those crosses, maybe, just maybe, things would've turned out different. 3. I'm sounding like a broken record, but Darmian is not a LB for fúck's sake. When will Gaal slip into coma so this madness could stop. Gaal is inadvertently setting this young man up for a fall anytime he plays him at the LB. Borthwick-Jackson sent more delicious cross than Darmian did. Darmian is not to be faulted though, he's no LB. 4. Borthwick-Jackson impressed today. With more substitution role and chances in the FA Cup, he could become another Evra or Shaw for us. 5. Our best DM pairing remains Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger and Herrera. Any other player in that midfield is a waste of time. Schweinsteiger has lost his pace, aggression and power, but he provides a better defense than moronic Carrick or FellaFOOL!! He attacks even at his slow pace and tries to put the opponent on pressure. 6. Schneiderlin should never miss any match again. He's our midfield kingpin. 7. We need to buy and do so fast in this TW. The first 2 places we'd address are a DM to partner Schneiderlin and a fleet-footed RW to provide speed and crosses to our attack. Mata should be injured if such a player comes coz that bastard called Gaal will probably not bench him. Then another striker should be bought and hopefully Rooney will get to see more bench or if possible, gets injured too. These two dumbasses are killing our attack ![]() 8. The boys played well today, though not as perfectly as I wanted. I hate Rooney presence in that team but for today, he played well but as usual, his flappy stomach and fat azz means Rooney can't score sitters for us. He fought bravely but missed chances that my grandmother will convert even while asleep. Rooney can't be our striker, full final stop!! 9. If we had continued with our pace and pressure of first-half, we'd have won. Second-half was a ghost of our first-half. 10. The greatest mistake Utd will make is allowing DDG go for £40M if the rumors are true. Any offer less than £60M should be seen as an insult. 11. If these players can be motivated enough to play with the mentality of the first-half, our injured players returned very fast, and if we make good purchase in the upcoming TW, I see us finishing strong when the season finally ends. |

SIRcumalot:We've have EVERYTHING to lose, bro. With Van Bastàrd at the helm of affairs, we won't be in UCL next season and I don't think you know the millions we're going to lose if such occurs. The reason I want the móron out is for us to qualify for UCL. We ain't winning shít this season so let's Mourinho come in and see if he can save our season. I understand why Utd's fans don't want him, but for fúck's sake, we need to put the club's progress over ANY SENTIMENT!! Even the supporters that have SEASON-LONG TICKET are screaming his name. What does that tell you? Do you think if Abrahimovic was dead sure of Mourinho retaining the league or winning the UCL at the end of the season, that he'd have sacked him? Hell no!! Abrahimovic is a business man that don't mind Mourinho's insults at the world AS LONG AS he'll be winning titles for him. That's what Utd need now - a trophy even if it means coming from the man that we love to hate. As it stands now - I'll go for Shaibu Amodu or any fucktàrd over Van Goat. He needs to leave like Mourinho left Shekpe for these boys to play with new techniques and style. Any coach that benches Schneiderlin for 3 matches for a combo of Carrick and Fellani, is not worthy to be at Utd, he should at best be a ball boy for Shooting Stars of Ibadan. |
Another United hope bites the dust again. Like I always said, good luck to my United fans watching United matches, endless heartache awaits y'all until Gaal is sacked. Me, I don't watch them anymore, I stick with online statistics to cushion the effect of the pain watching the matches will cause me.Now for many weeks, I've watched silently for weeks as a lot of banters have gone down on this thread, with blames thrown at each other or the players/coach. But one particular comment from one or two posters had me SMH. These posters were of the mundane opinion that NO TRUE United fan should want Mourinho coming to take the reins at United. This is without doubt an anti-Man Utd progress assertion. To me NO REASONABLE HUMAN in United's shoes shouldn't want Mourinho taking over from Gaal with immediate alacrity!! We need to leave sentiments aside, leave aside our hate for any coach that will rescue this United side before it gets too late. I don't like Mourinho's attitude and his trashy and obnoxious verbiages. I don't like the way he doesn't give a club's youth team chances to shine. I don't like the bad rep he brings to any team he coaches, but you can't deny one fact - amidst all his madness, you're guaranteed of trophies. And that's the most important thing a coach is judged with. Forget all the "attitude" and "morals" and "bad rep" - without a trophy, a coach is termed a failure!! It's as simple as that. Now the it's gonna be 3 seasons (discard Moyes' CS trophy) without a trophy if we stick with Van Goat. The earlier we tell ourselves the truth that Gaal needs to be sacked and replace with a coach that can give us at least one trophy in a season, the better for us. We are fast spiraling down the path of AssAnal's numerous years of trophy barreness, or Looserfool's new title of mid-table team; and if we don't win something soon, a time will come when the big boys with big dreams will avoid our team coz they won't have hope of winning titles in United. Getting Mourinho is our best option, we can even get him to coach till the end of the season before discarding him or giving him a full contract. We have nothing to lose. Since by his 3rd season he brings ignominy to any club he works in, we can do with the trophies he'll give us in his first 2 seasons and then kick him out during the third season. We have lost our invincibilty and fast losing our reputation unless we arrest this situation. There's no way on earth that Mourinho will spend up to £250M in 2 seasons and won't win a trophy - highly impossible!! With the amount LVG has spent and time given him, he's a total failure. And I'm dead sure he's no where better than Moyes' legacy at United - both are failures!! |
