This is exactly my point. Aguero spends more time in opponents box, Lukaku is busy half way and even left back defending yet you expect him to score as much as Aguero
This matter is self-explanatory. You just ended it with your screenshots above. Ukaku was even in our defence against fuckin Watford, but Ageuro wasn't anywhere near their final third talk more more of their defence.

Ageuro might be benched under Mourinho unless he contributes defensively to please Mou. No be Mourinho tell Hazard to defend alongside his team-mates?

There's a reason why Mourinho termed Ukaku "untouchable"?

It is an established way of analysing it here. Coogar used it always, and no one (including me) ever disputed it. It is fact that when comparisons are made as at given date, you assume the figures to be your working guide until the situation changes.

If your goals per minutes is better, you are the better scorer. And it is assumed you are more likely to score.
Too much reliance on stats is bad. A month ago Adelana posted a stat that showed that Iago Aspas and about 3 other strikers scored goals that "won their teams more points" than Messi, Suarez and C. Ronaldo.

An unintelligent football analysts will foolishly declare Aspas as a better striker than Messi and Co. Afterall his goals were more "important" and Messi /CR7 were scoring "unimportant" league goals. But we know better.

Morata scored more "important" goals than Benzema, but Benzema is the top striker at Madrid till now while he's sold off.

Too much dependent on stats is bad. Cisse was scoring for fun for Newcastle in his debut season, using your analogy, he shouldn't had stop scoring for fun the next season.

Nothing is constant, Bro. Suarez was once prolific, right now he looks like the ghost of the real Suarez.

Murray might come January and even stop scoring for 10 matches in a row. Nothing is constant.

The reverse is the case for me, Most of the awards won by Messi and Ronaldo were fully deserved because they have on field performances to back it up.

Its people like Terry who cant back it up with any on field performance that benefit from the popularity contest stuff

For several months no one can point where Terry distiguished himself beyond a carry along outside of the league if its CL Euro or world cup
Dayo, we've been through this many times. A defender or player doesn't have to be in a final before he'll be rewarded for his contribution during the group stages, round of 16, quarter-final etc. Boateng didn't make the finals, but he was in the team of the tournament at Euros.

Cr7 barely contributed anything at the finals coz of his injury, he still made team of the tournament. Finals is just one match. It can't wipe away all the contributions in other matches.

Are SOME of John Terry's awards due to popularity? Yes.

Are ALL of them due to popularity? No. I don't think so.

Joselu played against Liverpool at half line as lead striker, and scored. Newcastle 1 Liverpool 1

Scott played against Liverpool at half line as lead striker against Liverpool and scored. I think that match also ended 1-1

Murray played against us at Old Trafford at half line and scored.

But people say Lukaku didn’t score because he played at half line against Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham. When has playing at half line being a license not to score?
Cool. Now, describe one or two chances Ukaku got against Loserfool and missed. I want to see the chance he got.

Against Newcastle, it's a defensive error that gave Joselu that goal. Which defensive error did Loserfool commit against us and when Ukaku got it, he missed?

I'm waiting for your reply.

A team is parking the bus, their CF Is also defending with the team, barely making it past the half line, and you expect the striker to score? Where will he see the chance? Who will provide the chance for him? His team-mates defending deep in their own half? huh

This is why some of you no know ball. Common sense says if Murray played the same number matches (game time) as Lukaku, he wood score more.

Murray also scored in a big game playing at half line. But Lukaku, na so so story.
I disagree. It's an unproven fact, your words in emboldened. Most things are 100% uncertain in football.

Going by your words above, why didn't Shevchenko scored like he did at Ac Milan for Chelshit?

Why didn't Toress score like he did at Loserfool for Chelshit?

That Murray fella might come to United and be like Keane was for Loserfool. Nothing is certain.

What I have done so far is to show you that playing at half line against a better opposition while your team play defensive, does not prevent goal scoring.

If strikers of smaller teams can do with, why should it be an excuse for Lukaku.

Take Kane for instance, let Tottenham park the bus against Madrid, he will still score.
How can you type this and still post it with a straight face? Because Murray scored while his heat map was in the half line means against any team a striker MUST score while his team is defending all through?

Please, how on earth did you expect Lukaku to score in our match against Loserfool? If you watched the match, where did Ukaku see a chance to wreck havoc?

Did you expect Ukaku who's in the midfield defending as Loserfool battered us to dribble like Messi from the midfield and score?

In match that we parked trailer, you expected Ukaku to perform miracle? A striker has more chances of scoring in an attacking line-up. Stop using Murray to judge every striker.

That Toress scored against Barca while Chelshit were defending for their lives doesn't mean that he might score that chance in another match.

Zlatan had only one chance against Loserfool last year at their turf and missed it. How will you expect Zlatan to score when United defended all through and could only provide one good chance by Pogba? How many strikers will always convert every chances? Even if Zlatan had scored that chance, on other day, he may miss it. No striker will be fruitful playing like we did against Loserfool. He's not a ghost and can't dribble his way from the midfield like he's invisible.

No, I don't. I found Elampawa more annoying during his defense of Rooney way back but I never felt the reason to insult him because I knew he's civil with the way he went about it, mostly. Him and Cöogar would argue for months even years but still tried hard to keep it civil. I found annoying excuses Elampawa put up for Rooney's decline, but it'd never reach to the extent to feel like insulting him.

His condescending attitude and generally poor online chat approach is a lightning rod for insults? Who gets paid for getting likes? Why lie or create dumb excuses just to seem knowledgeable? This is different from the issue on the Ashawo thread yesterday. The person involved is a rude misogynistic man that can't handle women not parting their legs for him or turning down his advances. Occasionally top strikers misses these kind of big chances which is perfectly normal. Elampiro even brought a stat to prove this. They can only get better when they continue to get more and not playing from the midfield or as the SS instead of the CF and that is my point
I think Mourinho knowing him for the type of coach he is, is the one that encourages Ukaku to work hard for the team instead of usually being in the CF position to score goals. He's always praising Ukaku's defensive work rate which tells me Mourinho has his style written over it. Mourinho is the one IMHO, either through his tactics or encouragement, that has gotten Ukaku spending more time outside the 18-yard box instead of inside it.

Sinizia we need someone that can spot a run and release those kind of diagonal defence splitting passes. Pogba needs a partner in the middle. Lukaku Rashford Martial Lingard and even the midfielders can share in the goals if they make the runs like they have been doing. They just need more people to spot the run before the defence recover
eph12:
Well I think we need more defence unlockers. Everyone can contribute to the goal scoring
I think you're right. Last season when we're linked with Grizzy, I wasn't among those that wanted him that much. I rather wanted us to get a TOP striker first and take care of positions like LB, RW, DM and AM before SS. Meaning I believed that with a young TOP quality striker, and our wing-forwards contributing to goals, we needed an AM the most rather than an SS.

So why am I the only one receiving this memo?

Tell me why he will pick on Lukaku even when we won? When Lukaku even scored and put in a decent shift? Isn't there something wrong somewhere?

Please without meaning to sound aggressive towards you, you are sending this memo to the wrong person. With due respect.
I sent the memo to you coz this is about the 3rd time you've viciously attacked Elampawa. He might have talked down on some fans here, but the viciousness of your insults is a tad too much, IMHO. And this "you no know ball" is not as insulting as you are trying to make it look. Elampawa has been using it since last season and we always laugh over it. When he used it on Döpejemi, Döpejemi used it back on him. It didn't degrade to outright insults.

As for picking on Ukaku, I still believe it doesn't need to go the insults path. If you don't agree to his opinion on Ukaku after a good performance, you state it and if Elampawa doesn't want to see things your way, you agree to disagree. That's civil enough. Elampawa is most of the times, always civil. He's very opinionated, and he does it without insults.

Nah other strikers don't score easily. Look at all the attacking teams and compare their strikers output with Lukaku. I can't begin to mention all the strikers, home and abroad, but the difference is not what we paint it to be. Lukaku link up play has been good. He has kept the ball rolling for most of the goals we have scored recently. His goals will come if he stays in the box but can he afford to?
I worded my post back there wrongly. I meant score "easy chances" or "strikers goals" like Elampiro would call it. Look at what Morata missed last night, it's that sort of miss that would've caused chaos on this thread. Guaranteed that ALL strikers miss chances, but some chances are so huge that when strikers miss them you'll be wondering how they made it to professional football. Lukaku has had his fair share of big chances misses, same thing that made us angry about our strikers last season. It's why Pogba had about 4 or 5 of a would-be assists denied for him last season.

Ukaku needs to work on his scoring ability, IMHO.

Lindelof is becoming a new Vidic, and no one is talking about it?! Shaw had a good Game last Night, won Fans' MOTM, yet little were said about him?! JM seems to have found a good balance for the Team with 3 - 5 - 2, yet the Einsteins ain't discussing the new Formation and Players' setup?!

The 3CBs at the back are well covered, Bailly - Jones - Rojo or Lindelof - Smalling - Blind, the Depth is there to discuss and factually analyze, yet little Attention is given to it?! Shaw has picked up, played well as a LWB, a good Competitor for Young..... should he still be sold or not?!

Tunazebe seems ready to deputize for Valencia, Darmian ain't impressing till now..... should he be sold or not?! Fellaini ain't ready to renew his Contract based on United Terms, McTominay is proving to be a huge Talent..... Fellaini should be offloaded or not?!

Pls, let shift away from Lukaku Matter, these are Matters arising, let's discuss it.
Pogba dominated discussions of last season, now it's Ukaku, so expect more days like this. Lindeolf has been growing in his display, we all can see it, but sadly Ukaku debates seem to have taken the shine off Shaw and Lindeolf's performances.

I especially love the guy's composure on the ball, very good confidence. Smalling is not doing too bad, and he bullied their CF last night which I absolutely love.

As for Shaw, apart from his loss in concentration last night for that goal, he played well. I don't think he'd be sold, but I still want us to get another LB like Rose in January just in case he gets injured or doesn't fulfil his potential. Our LB is a weak point for us.

Elampiro's opinions on Ukaku has nothing to do with Rooney. Elampawa might be a hardened Rooney fan, but his criticism of Ukaku is borne out of his desire to see Ukaku do well especially when chances are presented to him.
