raumdeuter:This matter is self-explanatory. You just ended it with your screenshots above. Ukaku was even in our defence against fuckin Watford, but Ageuro wasn't anywhere near their final third talk more more of their defence. Ageuro might be benched under Mourinho unless he contributes defensively to please Mou. No be Mourinho tell Hazard to defend alongside his team-mates? There's a reason why Mourinho termed Ukaku "untouchable"? |
elampiro:Too much reliance on stats is bad. A month ago Adelana posted a stat that showed that Iago Aspas and about 3 other strikers scored goals that "won their teams more points" than Messi, Suarez and C. Ronaldo. An unintelligent football analysts will foolishly declare Aspas as a better striker than Messi and Co. Afterall his goals were more "important" and Messi /CR7 were scoring "unimportant" league goals. But we know better. Morata scored more "important" goals than Benzema, but Benzema is the top striker at Madrid till now while he's sold off. Too much dependent on stats is bad. Cisse was scoring for fun for Newcastle in his debut season, using your analogy, he shouldn't had stop scoring for fun the next season. Nothing is constant, Bro. Suarez was once prolific, right now he looks like the ghost of the real Suarez. Murray might come January and even stop scoring for 10 matches in a row. Nothing is constant. |
raumdeuter:Dayo, we've been through this many times. A defender or player doesn't have to be in a final before he'll be rewarded for his contribution during the group stages, round of 16, quarter-final etc. Boateng didn't make the finals, but he was in the team of the tournament at Euros. Cr7 barely contributed anything at the finals coz of his injury, he still made team of the tournament. Finals is just one match. It can't wipe away all the contributions in other matches. Are SOME of John Terry's awards due to popularity? Yes. Are ALL of them due to popularity? No. I don't think so. |
elampiro:Cool. Now, describe one or two chances Ukaku got against Loserfool and missed. I want to see the chance he got. Against Newcastle, it's a defensive error that gave Joselu that goal. Which defensive error did Loserfool commit against us and when Ukaku got it, he missed? I'm waiting for your reply. |
A team is parking the bus, their CF Is also defending with the team, barely making it past the half line, and you expect the striker to score? Where will he see the chance? Who will provide the chance for him? His team-mates defending deep in their own half? ![]() |
raumdeuter:I knew these awards were popularity contests to be honest, especially after the disgusting robbing of Sneijder in 2010. My only issue was that I disagreed that every single award of John Racist was popularity contest. At least one or two had to be genuine. |
elampiro:I disagree. It's an unproven fact, your words in emboldened. Most things are 100% uncertain in football. Going by your words above, why didn't Shevchenko scored like he did at Ac Milan for Chelshit? Why didn't Toress score like he did at Loserfool for Chelshit? That Murray fella might come to United and be like Keane was for Loserfool. Nothing is certain. |
elampiro:How can you type this and still post it with a straight face? Because Murray scored while his heat map was in the half line means against any team a striker MUST score while his team is defending all through? Please, how on earth did you expect Lukaku to score in our match against Loserfool? If you watched the match, where did Ukaku see a chance to wreck havoc? Did you expect Ukaku who's in the midfield defending as Loserfool battered us to dribble like Messi from the midfield and score? In match that we parked trailer, you expected Ukaku to perform miracle? A striker has more chances of scoring in an attacking line-up. Stop using Murray to judge every striker. That Toress scored against Barca while Chelshit were defending for their lives doesn't mean that he might score that chance in another match. Zlatan had only one chance against Loserfool last year at their turf and missed it. How will you expect Zlatan to score when United defended all through and could only provide one good chance by Pogba? How many strikers will always convert every chances? Even if Zlatan had scored that chance, on other day, he may miss it. No striker will be fruitful playing like we did against Loserfool. He's not a ghost and can't dribble his way from the midfield like he's invisible. |
diggz:Go your house!!

funlord:I'm not trying to placate him. You're right, looking at it now, Elampawa does seem to have exhibited condescending attitude with his posts, but it still doesn't change the fact that Elampawa usually doesn't out-rightly insult people first. I can vouch for him for that. The only person I know he did that to was Afrødoc and when he pointed that out, Elampawa apologised. That said, Elampiro I think you'd stop using the you no know ball words coz people find it insulting. |
funlord:No, I don't. I found Elampawa more annoying during his defense of Rooney way back but I never felt the reason to insult him because I knew he's civil with the way he went about it, mostly. Him and Cöogar would argue for months even years but still tried hard to keep it civil. I found annoying excuses Elampawa put up for Rooney's decline, but it'd never reach to the extent to feel like insulting him. His condescending attitude and generally poor online chat approach is a lightning rod for insults? Who gets paid for getting likes? Why lie or create dumb excuses just to seem knowledgeable? Which award is given for writing epistles of trash? Which one is "footballing intelligentsia?" "I am the king of analysis?" "I am never wrong?" ......even me that balls in Manchester steady and has even met his god wazza won't stoop so low to start forming rubbish! Abeg the nigga needs to check himself before he wrecks himself....it is the height of immaturity to always want to act like you know online....this was why 2 niggas got decapitated by some girls on the runs thread yesterday! Elamps is childish...EOD!@emboldened, How's that different from Räumdeuter's words like "I'm never wrong. . . . I pack more football knowledge in my toe nails than you have in your entire existence. . . . Pick any issue about football and I will defeat you. . . . All you know about football can be written in a grain of rice"? This is different from the issue on the Ashawo thread yesterday. The person involved is a rude misogynistic man that can't handle women not parting their legs for him or turning down his advances. Was he not the one that they took his matter to Twitter? He sent Ibikayëe loads of email and yet turned around to call her obese coz the lass doesn't fancy him. How's that related to Elampawa saying you no know ball? Condescending it seems, but not to be compared to the rude character of Paulkillėrman. |
hoopLA:OK. |
lekkie073:I've never felt insulted coz of it, and many people find it funny. TBH, this is the first I'm reading that people find it insulting. If so, he'd stop it then. |
lekkie073:Hoop has verbally destroyed Söd09 severally here, I didn't bother coz he's not a United fan, but I don't usually like it when I see United fans insulting each other. That's all. |
funlord:Bro, what you quoted now is Elampiro's insult AFTER he's been insulted. And Elampiro responded after about the 3rd round of insults. Please be fair in this judgement. How many times have you ever seen Elampiro insult anyone FIRST? Elampiro is one of the most civil posters here who doesn't insult FIRST. He only retaliates which is fair enough. Unless 'you no know ball' is an insult, then I stand my earlier stance that Elampiro is civil in discussions. Mind you, the first time HoopLA insulted him, he overlooked it. |
elrony:Maduman, I know say you've been yearning for a heavyweight tussle to go down since last night. ![]() Well, the Lord has finally answered your prayer. *in D'banj's voice* It's about to do gown down. ![]() |
eph12:I no go lie you, me no know ball. ![]() |
eph12:I think Mourinho knowing him for the type of coach he is, is the one that encourages Ukaku to work hard for the team instead of usually being in the CF position to score goals. He's always praising Ukaku's defensive work rate which tells me Mourinho has his style written over it. Mourinho is the one IMHO, either through his tactics or encouragement, that has gotten Ukaku spending more time outside the 18-yard box instead of inside it. |
eph12: eph12:I think you're right. Last season when we're linked with Grizzy, I wasn't among those that wanted him that much. I rather wanted us to get a TOP striker first and take care of positions like LB, RW, DM and AM before SS. Meaning I believed that with a young TOP quality striker, and our wing-forwards contributing to goals, we needed an AM the most rather than an SS. |
hoopLA:I sent the memo to you coz this is about the 3rd time you've viciously attacked Elampawa. He might have talked down on some fans here, but the viciousness of your insults is a tad too much, IMHO. And this "you no know ball" is not as insulting as you are trying to make it look. Elampawa has been using it since last season and we always laugh over it. When he used it on Döpejemi, Döpejemi used it back on him. It didn't degrade to outright insults. As for picking on Ukaku, I still believe it doesn't need to go the insults path. If you don't agree to his opinion on Ukaku after a good performance, you state it and if Elampawa doesn't want to see things your way, you agree to disagree. That's civil enough. Elampawa is most of the times, always civil. He's very opinionated, and he does it without insults. |
eph12:I worded my post back there wrongly. I meant score "easy chances" or "strikers goals" like Elampiro would call it. Look at what Morata missed last night, it's that sort of miss that would've caused chaos on this thread. Guaranteed that ALL strikers miss chances, but some chances are so huge that when strikers miss them you'll be wondering how they made it to professional football. Lukaku has had his fair share of big chances misses, same thing that made us angry about our strikers last season. It's why Pogba had about 4 or 5 of a would-be assists denied for him last season. Ukaku needs to work on his scoring ability, IMHO. |
eph12:It's either we get an SS to score goals for us like Griezmann, or we get a creative AM like Silva or Ozïl to unlock defence, we can't have both. |
Oasis007:Pogba dominated discussions of last season, now it's Ukaku, so expect more days like this. Lindeolf has been growing in his display, we all can see it, but sadly Ukaku debates seem to have taken the shine off Shaw and Lindeolf's performances. I especially love the guy's composure on the ball, very good confidence. Smalling is not doing too bad, and he bullied their CF last night which I absolutely love. As for Shaw, apart from his loss in concentration last night for that goal, he played well. I don't think he'd be sold, but I still want us to get another LB like Rose in January just in case he gets injured or doesn't fulfil his potential. Our LB is a weak point for us. |
codedguy1:Well said. You spoke my mind totally on this issue. Opinions will always differ, no need for the snide remarks or insults. |
CapitalCee:It's that money and his age too that scares me. If he's 24 or lesser, I wouldn't mind, but at that age, that money seems too high. But he's a good player and after a temporary loss of form has picked up again. You can't use a tough fixture like last night to judge him. |
Oasis007:Elampiro's opinions on Ukaku has nothing to do with Rooney. Elampawa might be a hardened Rooney fan, but his criticism of Ukaku is borne out of his desire to see Ukaku do well especially when chances are presented to him. We all want Ukaku to do well, sometimes I feel it's out of frustration, especially seeing other strikers score easily, that makes us react to Ukaku's misses. But Rooney has nothing to do with it. |
eph12:I don't know if he's the messiah we are longing for, but he played well for me last night. I love his darting runs which if seen by an AM like KDB can lead to goals. He's fast, a bit skillful, doesn't have a poor first touch and makes move into the 18-yard box. If played behind a striker like Ukaku, he'll flourish because Ukaku can drag defenders out giving him the perfect opportunities to sneak in behind and wreck major havoc. |
hoopLA:Bro, please stop with the insults. We're all one family here. No need to bring insults when opinions differs. It's understandable with non-United fans, but we as United fans can agree to disagree. Please cut out the insults. |
I've said it before, Ukaku's major flaw is just that he's technically limited, which makes him miss chances, but apart from that, that ninja is good. I've not seen a striker currently that puts in work more than that lad. His work rate is atrocious. He plays for the team, and covers much ground as possible. it's why he seem not to be in the 18-yard box most of the time. Last night was a beautiful performance from him, filled with energy and determination. He never gave up, always on the move. He'd have gotten an assist if not Rashidi's miss. I'm so happy for him, he's been finally rewarded for all his hard work. This talk of Mourinho dropping him should never resurface. Zlatan can't work hard like him, Zlatan might be a better scorer than him, but we need Ukaku's firepower in that derby. |
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/bizarre-moment-carles-puyol-attacked-11641676 Imagine if this was the other way round. By now it'd have been sexual harassment. . . . Sexism. . . . Räpe etc. But since females are the guilty party, the case will be swept under the rug. Hypocrisy. |
raumdeuter:You might have been able to see far into footballing matters in times past or on some debates, but when it comes to this issue, forget it. This your funny excuse, I've told you before is your way of providing a safe landing for yourself should things go wrong and Pep fails to win the league. Forget all these preachings of yours. Dayo, if this City side that's broken several records, won all their UCL group games, was touted as UCL contenders by Messi and other pundits, have remain unbeaten for this long, is still "gelling", then every other club in EPL have NOT STARTED THE "PROCESS" OF GELLING. it means while City is in the process, other teams are yet to begin. Which still makes City the favourite no matter how you look at it. All these epistles, I'm not buying it. |
raumdeuter:Dayo, I've been laughing since seeing you without remorse saying Man City is gelling. It's ridiculous at first, but nowadays, I'm always clutching my ribs reading your posts about that issue. I don't understand how you can boldly make those statements and still defend it for months now. ![]() |
