Pogba deserved the criticisms he got last season. I ran out of websites that were pointing out his mistakes. It's so bad, Pogba was making flop team of the week in some sites.

One particular hurtful editorial I read was on ESPN. In that piece, a gif of Pogba's various hairstyles was created and the writer wrote about how he's had more hairstyles than goals and assists. When you cost 89m, you'll have the spotlight on you. It's what it is.

This season, Garth Crooks, a BBC pundit that criticised Pogba's hairstyles last season criticised his hairstyles again after a match he played, a columnist on Football365 took Garth Crooks to the cleaners while defending Pogba.

What changed? If it's last season Garth would've been gotten away with that criticism. But Pogba is now playing well and nobody can criticise his hairstyles. Neymar has an addictive night life, but he's not facing criticisms for it because he delivers on the pitch. If Pogba was playing like an 89m MF especially in the first-half of last season, he wouldn't have been bashed. Nobody would doubt his value. When you're costliest player in the world (as of then), then expect all eyes to be on you.

There was nothing wrong in your criticism of Lindelhof. I defended Lindelhof some weeks back when the criticism was becoming heavy, I said he would be good. But I cannot because of that try to rubbish or shame those who criticized him. He was really playing badly. After he cost us two goals, I criticize him, but the next league match when he was being butchered, I defended him.

Lukaku deserves criticism for yesterday's performance. Remember last week here, I said he contributes so much even though he doesn't score. But yesterday, I saw situations he could have done something different and help us, but he behaved like am amateur player.

Refreshing to view posts from someone who has perspective as a guide.

Carry on.
From now on it is your posts that will bring me to comment. There's a lot of major league girly nagging going on in here. So much so that even after we won at a top 6 rival (something they nagged,b1tchef and moaned hard about our inability to do since Jose came in) folks will still complain.
So much so that folks suddenly retracted from their crying and had an appreciation for "bus parking" when we went a man down yesterday.
So much so that they are suddenly praising Lindelof and hailing him as the next Nesta after initially slating him and condemning him.

Hypocrisy and two-faced nature abound in bundles. The same people accuse raumdeuter of turning amala but are quick to do u-turns and flip flops in a heartbeat.

Make we dey look.
I've not criticised Lindeolf not even during the Huddersfield match, I even defended I'm some matches (not that criticising was wrong), but I want to ask, what were you expecting from fans after his horrendous displays?

Something like "Nice defence, Lindeolf. For singlehandedly costing us against Huddersfield, you're the man of the match"?

Or

"Lindeolf gifts Huddersfield the win, what a defender. The second coming of Nesta"? huh

Ukaku will come good, I believe in him.

If he's not scoring and not contributing anything to the team's general play, I'd be miffed by now. But the lad plays his socks off every match.

His work rate is astonishing, and he assists too. He's strong and pacy and helps our attack to be more pacy.

Though technically limited and way off from being a top striker, I believe he'll rediscover his form again. Lindeolf had a tough beginning, right now he's putting in good performances.

Ukaku will score. It's only a matter of time. I'm not panicking yet.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 7:20am On Dec 03, 2017
When de Gea started his United career, it's filled with errors. He's so bad fans butchered him with their criticisms. At a point Ferguson was pressured to drop his erratic azz.

Years later, we the fans that cricised him rightly in the past, have been singing his praise to high heavens. Wishing he doesn't leave to Madrid. The much maligned DDG is suddenly the best player we've got. Maybe shame should fall on us. Maybe we'd be labelled hypocrites. I don't see the few United fans that didn't bash DDG coming out to start this "you against us" silly talks.

Rooney, Giggs, Keane and so many legends that have done much for United have faced criticisms in the past, but no, Pogba the demi-god from France has never done any wrong. We'd all grovel at his feet for criticising him. Yeye dey smell!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia:

Can you tell us anyone person you know that ever mocked the purchase of Pogba?

This is the problem. A player playing poorly and being blamed doesn't amount to say "why was he bought".

One well crafted Assist, now una don start "you against us".
It's sad, really, the mentality of "you against us" they creeps out at every good performance of a player that was justly criticised or that of Mourinho's criticism.

So because Pogba was bought for 89m no-one should criticise him when he's churning out annoying performances last season? SAF our legendary coach has been criticised many times, heaven did not fall, but Pogba is untouchable.

Maybe we're wrong to criticise him, how about other football pundits worldwide that rightly criticised him when he's not playing well? Are they NL members? Even Scholes?

Last season we praised Hererra, this season he's not up to his best and we've criticised him. What's the difference between him and Pogba? Other players can be criticised, but Pogba can't coz he's worth 89m. I don't regret any of my criticism of Pogba last season. I criticised him and praised him as at when due.

P.S: Pogba's technique for the assist for Lingard was not "world-class", good technique to physically bulldoze off Koscieny, but not world class. Make we stop with the hype, mbok. Martial's assist was more "filthy" than his.

The need for VAR can't be over emphasized enough especially in addressing issues like today's..... however there is also the fear of it taking out the intrigues, shine and controversies which is a big aspect of the game too.
This is why I'm against VAR, even though it can save my team one day, on the day we're to get away with a bad decision, we'll get caught too. I say no to VAR, controversies are part of the game

I have to congratulate Ozïl for having a great game today. I'm skeptical whenever we're linked with that ghost. But of recent, he looks like he's back to his mesmerising best. If he can keep this form, Mourinho should get him in January coz I don't know if Mhiki can get sense before this season ends.

I agree red card can change a match however even with pogba in that team you guys have been under pressure from arsenal after Ur 2nd goal in first half
Yes, but the pressure got worse after Pogba left. We couldn't counter again. We still missed chances before Pogba left but missed none after we became a man down. The PK they should have gotten was when we're 10 man down, If it's a 10-10 situation, the pressure wouldn't be this harsh. I was literally shaking whenever Arsenal had possession.

Are you seriously asking me this? If Kos was red-carded Assanal wouldn't have seen that penalty coz it would've been a level playing ground and reduced the pressure we're in after Pogba left. Red card can change a match, why are you acting like it doesn't?

We win, but we don't play good football, IMHO. Our plays are lethargic, but there's room for improvement. The points are the main thing masking our horrible displays. Against Brighton is a good example, rubbish display, 3 points. Yesterday's second-half was poor as well.

We will improve, hopefully.
