Nairaland General › Re: Why Do Some Nigerians Gatekeep? Share Your Experience by sircrabo: 11:57am On Jul 18 |
WhiteIverson: It is largely influenced by poverty. Nigeria is a country with a lot of poor people, so whenever any update land, everyone wants to benefit and possibly exploit it. After a short while, the update will cast because there are too many people trying to eat and the cake can't go round.
There was an update where you could use Access bank card to buy dollars from a platform and sell at a higher rate on another platform. The cards had about 200$ monthly limit and were blue in color. There was also the black card. I kid you not, there were boys in Abuja going round the Access bank branches, claiming they misplaced their cards, so they can get a new one. In reality, they were exhausting the monthly dollar limit in minutes. Some of these boys were collecting up to 3 different cards daily from different branches using the same excuse. When Access bank discovered the ruse, they reduced the monthly limit to 10 dollars. Naso that update cast. Then sef Access bank Mastercard became scarce and you'll see guys texting you asking if you have Access Mastercard and if you do, you'll get a commission.
Once you share an update, most people will want to exploit it. And that's why Nigerians are banned from using some online services or platforms.
Visa update oh Online job update oh Online survey update oh
Nigerians will exploit and abuse them all. You have spoken well ! I trade the Forex market. I have discovered that many Nigerians hate forex compared to other businesses because they aren't able to abuse it. In the Forex market, there's no such thing as UPDATE. Its you and your discipline. If you do anyhow, youll see anyhow. Nigerians like to exploit any new opportunity until it becomes over saturated. That was how pure water businesses became saturated, recharge card printing, cat fish farming, China importation, Dispatch Riding, POS. Now I see people on their WhatsApp posing as export cargo agents. And before you know it, they'll be screaming on social media " Discover how I earn $200 daily doing this business... click the link to join my telegram group There's an update I'll have today, I will keep it to myself, until I'm very satisfied |

ironheart: Pay oooooo, there is what is called a credit score. Other banks will be looking at it. Find a way to settle it. Because if they report you to the crdit bureau, your other banks will not like to give you incentive. I discovered this the hard way, Access bank DTS stopped working and they refused to give me loan, salary advance and many small small benefits that i used to enjoy. Iater found iut that the COVID 19 loan was affecting my credit score.
I have settled my COVID 19 loan but the issue now is that NIRSAL micro finance bank will not give me letter of non indebtedness and my credit has not yet been updated by them with the credit bureau.
Anyone who has outstanding credit or loans, settle them o. Those calls are your least worries.
Some visa application and jobs also check your credit scores from the bureau and many nigerians are ignorant Please which website is this I need to check my credit score |
Webmasters › Online Learning Vs Classroom Learning by sircrabo(op): 10:53pm On Mar 10 |
I have tried learning some courses online but I noticed I always give up midway into the course. Learning in isolation can be frustrating especially when you run into errors. But I tend to learn faster when I am in a classroom and can easily ask questions. I am thinking of doing a software development course.
In your own opinions, which style of learning do you think is the best and why ?

Business › Re: Do People Really Make Money From Forex Trading? by sircrabo: 8:38pm On Feb 03 |
Forex is difficult (no doubt) and only a few disciplined ones make it to the 5%. The technicals isnt the problem, the major issue is the discipline of the trader. You won't know how greedy you are until you start trading forex.
Personally I won't advise anyone I know to start trading now because its a long, lonely, horrible and turbulent journey. And it takes years to become profitable. BUT if you persevere and learn from every mistake you make along the way, you'll be grateful for the skill in the long run. Nigerians are good at overflooding businesses and making it unprofitable and unattractive. Nigerians una sabi cast business. Same way people trooped into pure water business and casted it then to recharge card printing, then to fish farming and now POS. Very soon they'll cast content creation and Facebook won't pay Nigerian creators anything reasonable anylonger.
Nigerians hate forex from what I've seen so far because FOREX no gree una cast. Forex isnt a place you come and do anyhow, if not you go collect. If forex was as easy as a lot of people on this thread wanted, it won't have value by now. Una for Don cast am as usual. Sorry to disappoint you but its not getting any easier. It's either you commit to learning over a long period OR you stay out and face your pos businesses.
The percentage of unprofitable traders used to be about 95% but now we have more profitable traders springing up. Just work your way into the category of profitable traders. There's no way to riches that's easy. Go and ask people who cross the ocean to Europe about their experience. Only a few live to tell the story. Go and ask drug dealers the risks involved in their business. Doctors, engineers, lawyers spend years mastering the profession before they can earn reasonably. But you all that haven't even traded FX for upto one year are here comparing it to Sporty. Its not your fault. Its because of the easy entry barrier forex has. If brokers set a minimum deposit of $1000 for a live account, many of you won't be able to afford it. That your $50, $70, ,$100 won't make you rich in the FX market, instead the market will sniff it like a drug.
If you must trade, learn it well and be sure you have the required discipline to protect your capital. If you aren't scaling up as much as you want (after committing to learning and discplined trading) feel free to withdraw and invest in other ventures. In FX trading, capital preservation is the most important.

mascot87: 100% all the time. In fact, I have landed into more than 1000 problems in my entire life till date and when I look back and see how I have been able to get through all of those problems, I can't but say thank God.
The 2 top problem that could have nailed my life completely was:
1. I went to drop someone in a community with my car and on my way back to my house, I was driving very slowly because in that area because it is a remote area. To be honest, I was concentrating, looking ahead and not pressing my phone (Because that could be the thought of some people). All of a sudden, I head a loud noise with people shouting. God will help me, I just matched my break INSTANTLY. To my surprise, people rushed towards my car and brought out a baby (should be around 2 years). In fact, the baby head was already in contact with the passenger side front tyre and the tyre have already pinned the head of the baby to the ground but thank God there isn't much impact. Although very little blood was already coming out of the baby tongue but she was very stable and nothing really much. It was all noise, praises, thanks to God and all sorts. People that saw what happened live where just begging me and also thanking God on my behalf that the devil didn't put me into trouble because if the worst had happened, no one will say it wasn't my fault.
2. One day, I was on my way home on the island and it was late in the night around past 9pm. Then my car developed fault. I tried to troubleshoot it but I couldn't just find solution and there wasn't any mechanic around so I left it alone. I just pushed it to one side beside the road and because I don't know anyone around there and where I am still going is far, I decided to sleep inside the car. All of a sudden around past 2 am, I heard some movements around my car and because I was afraid, I just opened my eye observing what was happening. Not long after, I didnt hear those voice again. Then I quietly opened my car and behold, I saw a corpse dropped right beside my car. With all my strength, I quickly pushed my car away from that point, it wasn't easy but I did it. I don't even know where that strength came from. I was able to push it alone for far away on that lonely night till I got to where some night activities where happening and I stayed there till daybreak. Then I was thinking in my mind, what if I didn't wake up when those guys did that evil and then someone else sees it later and raises alarm while I was still sleeping in the car? Wouldn't that be an end to me? Wouldn't they have pinned it to me?
God has really help me a lot in times of trouble and when I say more than 1000 times then I am not exaggerating You have reasons to thank God. You could have still been in prison by now if they met the corpse by your car |
