Athena6: Last week I created a thread talking about how my japa plans have been crushed due to the increase in dollar.
Many adviced me to invest in dollar, this was the advice they gave me months ago but I did follow through because I wasn't sure. My last thread hit front page and 90% of the comments were advising me to invest in dollars, one even quoted that in the past 10 years, the dollar haven't fallen but it increases every year.
One even called me a weak minded person and I am scared to take risks. After everything I thought to myself, since so many people felt this dollar will keep on rising, maybe I should invest afterall life is all about risks.
Well guess what, dollar have decreased, I invested 3M in buying dollars and now in today exchange rate. I have 2.6M now and I either cash out now or hope it will increase.
Right now, I am very angry. Those giving me advice should come and contribute the 400k for me o
Another thing, do you think the dollar will increase or should I just cut my loses. I am so tired 😫
Welcome to the world of FOREX where nothing is certain
Peejayz: I started teaching at this private school in September. My salary is 10k per month ( I had no choice than to take the job due to alot of challenges I'm facing). My first salary, the man sent 5k (no joke) , I thought it was a mistake from his side , so I went to meet him in his office, he told it wasn't mistake....
I asked him how can I cope with 5k for a month, he said when student pay school fee, he will pay me my balance, I agreed with him ....
Then the next salary came in today , still 5k, I'm so angry and tired at this point... Alot of debt on my head .... 5k can't even clear them , not to talk of what I will use to feed myself.... This is unfair..... I plan to resign... But at this moment, I don't know where I will see money to feed .....
I'm confused at this point, I don't even know what I'm going to do at this point
You don't have a job yet. It's better you learn a trade than to be deceiving your self that you have a job that pays 10k monthly
omonla10: fore can make u suicidal o.. Run ooo. I was among the first set of traders.. 2006 till like 2013... Forget these forex stories, most of them na yahoo.
U can make it with forex though but the chances is like 5%.(i stand to be corrected)
I remember when I collected 17k from my bros is 2008..bought liberty reserve(dollars then). The money vanished in just under 3mins..i lost my integrity that day cos my bros no ever believe me. Till now, I still carry that guilt with me although I've repaid him over 20 times, still feeling guilty
Forex pays if you are disciplined. The percentage of successful traders we have are the few disciplined ones. If you ever lost money trading fx, sit back and ponder over your trading strategies and you'll see where you f**ked up. Its greed that kills most traders. If the likes of jefferey, habby, dapo Willis and some quiet dudes I know are milking the market, what makes you think you can't ? Most people who taught forex 2005-2008 were mediocre traders. No experience. No access to resources. Internet wasn't handy back then.... Learn the skill very well from a mentor with good track record, reduce your expectations and start earning decent return monthly (10% - 15%)
I have this decision bothering me. I know it is a personal problem, but I believe everyone need some guidance at every point in life.
Straight to it, I have been considering Japa for over two years now and I think the opportunity might be here but I am having a cold feet.
I recently started working for a foreign company as a software engineer and the pay is decent when converted to Naira. Enough to live an averagely comfortable life. But my challenge now is that, I have been talking to some friends that are outside the country and they keep telling me how life is not easy there and cost of living is super expensive out there.
I currently earn $3000, which I plan to either save and travel or startup a business here in Nigeria. Please, Nairalanders with experience, is it worth japa to live an almost average life for almost the rest of your life or investing here in Nigeria and growing wealth?
The healthcare and quality education benefit is there as an advantage for japa though.
Thanks in advance for your responses!
Frankly speaking, you are already doing well. What you earn is enough to give you a decent life here in Nigeria unless you just want to follow the bandwagon.
Most Nigeeians abroad who earn that amount over there are most times left with $1500 after paying bills.
I have have friwnd who had a remote job with a company in Europe. He relocated out of excitement but now he is regretting. His colleagues who work remotely are entitled to a yearly vacation to the companies country. They have more savings than him and still visit the country (Amsterdam)
MN07: Loosing all my millions last year 8.8 million.
Now I'm starting from 0kobo at 33 years old and I unconsciously beg God for a painless death every day because I'm too afraid to do it myself.
Take heart Broda. Be strong for yourself. I am in the same place with you. We just have to dust our feet and move on. So long as there's life, there's hope
kyber: My morning erection sometimes comes and sometimes doesn’t, and when it comes it is semi hard.
So I have tried to have sex with girls, whenever I’m being excited I get hard, But after putting on a condom and inserting my male organ into the vagina, it’s becomes soft after 2 or 3 thrust.
It takes minutes for me to get hard after some caressing by the lady and when I put it in it goes soft again.
Mind you I do masturbate but I stopped a month ago. Those were the period these things happened. I haven’t had sex since I stopped masturbation for fear of the repetition.
The girls I had left cause I couldn’t satisfy them, the love they had for me vanished after I couldn’t even perform well like their ex, making them miss their exes .
I haven’t tried raw sex yet to confirm if I can sustain my erection when I feel the inner walls of the vagina and it’s sweetness, because some of the articles I have read here on Nairaland talked about my male organ getting used to my left hand (cause that’s what i use) thereby making it loose sensitivity to the point where my male organ becomes insensitive inside the condom.
Is my condition a critical one or one that can be fixed easily by following few steps of instructions?
What can I do to get this fixed and get my male organ back to its full potential?
Amidst every other solution proffered here , have you checked your Blood pressure If you are stressed out or having an abnormal BP, it will affect blood flow to your pension. This is the major cause of ED. Your heart needs to pump sufficient blood to ur penile region for it to have election. Start with taking a cleanser like goko to reduce sugar level, and to cleanse your sysyem and then also take up some cardiovascular exercises. Every man will some day face the disappointment of erectile dysfunction.
If you think U.K took the decision because of one person's opinion, then you need to have your brain checked. It's been on their to-do list for a very long time. Nigerians are good at casting any environment they find themselves. Like Malaysia, Dubai, Turkey, even Ghana
Tourist123: I will be visiting Nigeria for the first time since Japaing 2 years ago, any security tips or economic tips I should know?
If you are a guy, be careful with some ladies of easy virtue and fake friends that'll want to take advantage of you if they know you are a returnee.
Enjoy the company of good friends and well meaning family members.
Regardless of where you'll be staying or visiting, always be careful. Don't go bragging to people in your area. Keep a modest profile. Try as much as you can to avoid late night outings especially if you live in a restive area. Be aware of your environment. There are multiple cult clashes in certain states in Nigeria. Mind how you dress and be polite to everyone.
If you are ever stopped by law enforcement officers, always act friendly. Remember they have power in their hands and can implicate you if you are too rude or arrogant.
Nigeria still remains our home. Feel free to move freely and associate with everyone. Enjoy the good food and culture of our people.
Nigeria might not be a fantastic country, but the fun and freedom you'll get here is second to none.
God bless Nigeria , and every well meaning Nigerian
In this video are six carefully selected startups in the African Tech Space to look out for in 2023. If you are a founder or know any startup worthy of mention, hit me up and I'll feature them in an upcoming series for startups.
Just recently, the Federal Ministry of Science and Tech organised a 5 days exhibition where new Inventors in the Science and technology space showcased their products.
Yes, people that wear Tatoo can still make heaven. What will stand before God on judgement day is the soul and not physical body.
What do you say about people that lived a rough life with tatoos, piercings and scars and later turned to Christ ? Now this scars are permanent (in some cases).
When a man genuinely repents, he becomes a new man. We all have scars from our past we wish we could do away with. It could be a physical dent on body (which is a temple of Christ) or secret sins. Only the blood of Jesus can completely blot out our transgressions. If you think people who have tatoos nd later accepted Christ can't make heaven, then people who have commmited all kinds of sins before finding Christ won't also make heaven.
All sins are equal and will lead to the same destination.
If you haven't done it, you don't have to, because it doesn't speak well of a good Christian. But if you already have it, it's ok. The bible says " Come as you are " though your sin be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.
Have you seen foreign Gospel singers ? Most have tatoos and make their hair. But you don't see their churches condemn them, but here in Africa we are holier than the people that brought Christianity to us.
