You started like every other year But your contents sure made it look in a unique way Here some things you taught for free I just hope you find a good student in me First Lesson: You taught me that true friendship could come from the unexpected, from the social networks, school, church or around my place of residence. Though some might have seemed hostile at first instance, repulsive and probably too proud to associate with but on the contrary, they were just waiting for a fair chance to prove their worth and impact very postively to my life, shout out to those in this category, they made my 2013 and this poem was actually inspired by them ( This Crony /p3XJdR-l ) Second Lesson: You taught me how important family was, don't get me wrong though, I knew this already, but your unique lecture on it had this special effect to it which made it seem like I knew very little about the topic. I learnt that family was like my safe haven where I could truly pour out my feelings on certain issues and get help or support as the case may be because in the end they are the ones that really care. Mum, Dad, My Brothers and Sisters , this is for you and Yea I've God something My Dad Inspired. ( POEM: About Mt Dad /p3XJdR-B ) Third Lesson: You taught me the importance of crossing ----> http://sirvictors./2013/12/31/6-lessons-i-got-from-2013/ |
Your words form his thoughts; The good one he soughts; The bad one just sulks; the ailment isn’t his fault; Yet your actions cause his hurt; Probably you don’t understand; The pains he goes through day by day; The smile he fakes year by year; But your actions should not dismay his efforts to see a brighter day; Freak! Starts with a short Poem ![]() I came I am seeing I hope to conquer Life itself seems crazy Life seems hard Life is challenging It could be sweet It could be bitter But I choose to be happy Each morning Each daytime Each night Comes with a unique thing Peculiar Effect Could make or break me Could be discouraging Could be encouraging But I choose to be happy It’s crazy though It’s hard too Hard to keep up with With the chronic imperfection The unfortunate imperfection Which in a way Turns a beautiful imperfection All because I choose to be happy I may lose what I Continue Reading -------> http://sirvictors./2013/12/24/happiness-a-choice/ |

Yea it was somewhat close to the greatest mistake of my life, don't think I am exagerrating I'm just trying to be a little bit realistic here. As Usual. Relax and take something chilled. Leaving the Lecture venue, I had just walked close to one of the lecturer's office. Now this was not just any other Lecturer. With his deep bass voice he would normally emphasize on his uniqueness and the techniques he utilizes to ensure that students do well both academically and some otherwise, he would normally take note of the smart ones in class and try as much as possible to have their surnames in his memory for some specific times in his lectures that students would be required to salvage the class from imminent quiz(was quite lucky he couldnt remember mine*chuckles*) all in all, we most times enjoyed his lectures. Well, thats him in the classroom, this time it was a different scene and I wasn't sure what to expect. Like I said , I did walk by his door and to add to the mishap, he was just coming out of the office. INTERLUDE Instincts say yes; Instincts say no; The step to take; Is for you to Know; He stepped out fully, with is well knotted red tie and his Usual Oversized shirt and trousers. "Good afternoon Sir!" I said as I tried walking away hurriedly "Ehen, good afternoon..." he replied with his normal deep bass voice, a little fine tuned this time though "hey hold on?" He continued "You were in my class this morning am I correct?" "Yes Sir" I answered without hesitation while stopping my motion abruptly . At this point... *SOBS* "I still think it wasn't my fault" That's the fifth time of the day I was seated on that red couch trying to justify my ordeal with those words, still I say it wasn't my fault, I know right, you can call that the sixth time and i'm guessing you want to know the reason for my sole contemplation or rather the story behind my ordeal, the typical Nigerian Young girl would tell her peers "it's a Long Story" and that in a way draws the attention of the listeners as they go to the extent of drawing their faces closer to the story source. Apparently, I'm the source this time and I want to believe that you are the listener, so let me just say it is a "Long Story" or so it seems. Nah don't get too anxious. Relax and take something chilled. So I just resumed for the 2nd Semester(was a 100 level Student) and of course I felt a bit wiser and more into the whole University system, from the lecturer that gives a quiz at any slight noise, the hilarious behaviour of some students in the hostel, the lack of network coverage in some lecture theatres, I was just so in tune with the whole campus life thingy. Like the whyners(teasers) would say, I felt like a boss. 4 weeks into the semester came this rather unique thursday, I had just finished my last lecture for the day and it was this normal thing to make my way straight to my hostel with two crazy friends and yea, we were also course mates, sit mates and probably dub-mates. They both... Continue reading here -----> http://sirvictors./2013/11/18/it-so-wasnt-my-fault-part-1/ by @sirrvictor |

And they would always talk the talk; even when the talk is not deserving; the talk will still be their last resort; talks and talks , even out of the report; You did this, You did that, You did those; you went there, you went far, you came close; Right there the talk has started it works of talks; you try and try but u just cant live without the talks; Do the good and do bad; Do the Perfect and do the mediocre; the talk will always find its way; Even if your work tries to block its way; And Even When the talk seems to get boring; A new talk begats a new talk; Ears getting frustrated , mind getting sad; it may seem living in peace has become quite hard; But just know this for a fact; Crafters of talks will always comeout and talk the talk; Even if your actions seems right to your personal person; So get used to it; And only consider the thoughts and TALKS of GOD thats pleasing; People will always talk , no matter what, but whats more important is what God feels and says about your actions. 1918 you gave your first cry; And sprung into life's ups and downs; And turns and rounds; Many years into it; Your mind grew stronger; And your actions became wiser; Though Apartheid was the system; You still stood firm; In your fight from freedom; A very tough fight it was, but still; Your victory created a new era; Your triumph made life better; Your words of wisdom; like the sides of a sharp sword; Pierce into our hearts and inspires the world; Your humility and generosity; Your kindness and rare forgiveness; I cherish with all seriousness; Your leadership reminds me of Moses; Your faith reminds me of Abraham; Your passion for what you believe in reminds me of Paul; Your willingness to do whats right reminds me of Noah; And your endurance reminds me of Joseph; I could go on and on; I just hope our leaders would carry on; with these qualities you possesed; to leave the world at its best; And though you left us this December Your Legacies we will always remember Goodbye Mandela Madiba via Sir Victor's Blog http://sirvictors. |
Yea.. The guy is good and he is popular o, Praiz too. Have u guys heard of Clay?? A female nigerian rockstar |
Floppy: Aside the fact that rock music may not sell, it would also cost more to do a rock track cos it would require live instruments and some hardware. A typical naija music is done on softwre which is cheaper.yea, but once you just get the instruments with you d first time , u dnt need to get dem again. And I believe it can sell, it needs good promotion |
So it was extremely sad; He just lost his sole job; with mind like a wild mob; He is Pondering on his current issue; and wondering what next to do; He thinks of his only family; His mum; He thinks of bills; His burnt warehouse; His million dollar debts; and savings he never kept; Anxiety gradually crept in; As depression was already settled; Then it was like pepper on a fresh injury; Like the world was.. zeekz: very true but d band wont last like dat of say cold play, linkin park etcthey could last, it depends on their passion for it |
zeekz: Nigerians like to party and thus such would not hold ground here cause dey won't pay to see a rock concert rather dey would want to see people like WizKid, we actually have artist that can dive into dat venture but its not profitable enough so dey stick to d party jamz.yea true but, I still know some people that would prefer to go to a rock concert. I fink one thing that would help is putting dem in award categories |
Most Nigerians Listen to and even Like Rock or soft rock Music, Why don't we make that field flourish here ? |
I knew you to be the strict one; or so I thought; Seeing you I only moved on; without being taught; from a distance; I felt the attraction; but in ur presence; I felt a repulsion; Strange; or so it seemed; with rage; my questions beamed; knowing you; answered my questions; learning with you; killed my assumptions; Friend indeed; so I realized; there in my need; without being hypnotized; with you a bright future anticipates; with you great achievements awaits; with you... With you... http://sirvictors./2013/09/30/this-crony/ |
Sometimes We ask for What we don't need. Sometimes the rain comes at the wrong times. Sometimes our body acts out of the script of our mind. Sometimes the soup doesn't just come out tasting good. Sometimes He/She doesnt just love you back. Sometimes It doesn't always end in "they lived happily ever after". Sometimes a lie could defeat the truth. Sometimes the Leaders act like they dont care. Sometimes the Money just can't get it all. Sometimes what we need the most doesn't just come hastely. Sometimes it feels like the problem cannot go. But then, Sometimes the sun shines after the heavy rain. Sometimes good leaders rise up and take power. Then i found myself in the mansion; Moving in three steps to a new position; i could hear the squeaking noise of the door; closing up at its will; and making the last bang; i made haste for a quick one; then i guessed the door loved the free world even more; it was my life story in a new page; and like a pet in an odd cage; i was trapped in this rare rage; trapped in the mansion; expecting more commotion; I could hear the bruxing of unseen rats; and could feel the rooms silence at the rats’ absence; making 5 steps to God Knows where; and arm hitting on a little glass ware; prevailing was a new but scary sound; it was the glass shattering on the bare ground; i could see, I could see nothing more than nothing; Darkness engulfed like times the bat would make its kill; i guessed someone forgot to pay a bill; i helped myself to a rough wall; pressing my hands and walking by it; i still made this painful great fall; the stool in my way had caused the hit; out of the little pain; and causing the fall to look in vain; i stood up to find a way; looking left i found the unexpected; a fantasy of it, i would have rejected; i could see what would be a prayer answered; it was a bright light from the sides of a room door; a room that could bring light to the big mansion; it was light at the end of the tunnel; it was for real; it was for me; the last grip at the end of the Rope; it was HOPE; Irrespective of the dark situations, there is hope. Love God kindly share your thoughts on this. I blog at http://sirvictors. ![]() |
