ice234:My dear, what you are saying is contrary to the Jews cardinal commandment "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: -Deuteronomy 6:4". There is no room for trinity in the Old Testament Law to the Jews. Did their God decieve them or did He lie to them? If not, there must still only be one Lord in the same context in which the Jews have always known their God- as one Person, not three. And if that be the case, then it can only mean, for Jesus to be truly who He said He was, that He was Jehovah in human flesh. |
The scripture clearly identified Jehovah and Jesus as the King of the Jews, but many say they are two different people. In which case they should have been referred to as Kings of the Jews. someone is going to say soon, " its a mystery that you cant understand" . I dont see what I cant understand here. |
TrollMan:Why is it stupid? Its a simple question. If you have an opinion, say it. if you don't , would ' nt it be wiser for you to just pass by quietly? What if it is inspired by God.. You would have blasphemed.. |
I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. -Isaiah 43:15. ; Jehovah here says He is the King of the Jews Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. -Isaiah 44:6. Again here Jehovah calls Himself the King of Israel (the Jews) Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. -Matthew 2:2. Here, Jesus is referred to as the one born King of the Jews. Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. -Zechariah 9:9 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, -Matthew 21:4 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an "a s s", and a colt the foal of an "a s s". -Matthew 21:5 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, -Matthew 21:6 And brought the a s s, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. -Matthew 21:7 So here Jesus fulfilled the Zechariah prophecy, riding into Jerusalem on an a s s as the King of the Jews. So who then is the real King of the Jews, if Jesus is not Jehovah in human flesh? |
ifeness: I'm asking you! Because you seem to only reason in one direction. Do you even have a shred of evidence of Jesus?People who ever achieved anything in life were very single minded. Do you have a shred of evidence that you are alive? |
ifeness: So those of us who think beyond the Rapistt God are damned right? You said so. |
jdilight: If you study the word as a book, you will not understand it. But if the spirit of God open it for you, you will. Jesus told the samaritan woman "whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give himshall never thirst.." John 4:14 (the word of God).I could give you many instances in the Bible where water meant simply water. The scripture you quoted is a separate scripture from the one we are talking about. You could say they relate, that's fine, but where did the Word say they relate and other plain 'water' scriptures do not relate? Baptism does not make one born again, but, according to Jesus, you can's say you are born again except you are born of water. If the second part of that scripture (born of the Spirit) meant literally baptised in the Spirit, you have to agree that born of water also means baptised in water and the early conversions recorded in the book of Acts prove it so. There was always water baptism immediately following belief in the Truth. Where water baptism was excluded, the Holy Spirit was excluded as evidenced by Acts 19:1-5. |
2cato: Any body who confeses christ as his lord and personal saviour has the spirit of God in him thru jesus christNot preceisely. Trusting or believing, which makes you confess, is a distinct event from receiving the Spirit of God. Trusting comes before the event of receiving the Spirit of God. The two are not synonymous and the latter could be years away from the former or may even never get to occur if the 'truster' or believer does not go on to obey the Lord, of which the first evidence of that obedience is water baptism. Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, |
jdilight: The water mention in this verse is the word of God which still contain the spirit of God. No one can be born again without the word of God, anyone who think otherwise is just claiming. You say so. I could say a thing too, but the Word said His Word. Show me where the Word said the water in that verse and context is the Word. |
jdilight: The water in the verse you quoted is not the water of baptism, but of the word of God.Show me where the Bible said so in that verse. |
jdilight: Every born again has the spirit of God.A born again, is someone who is born (baptised) of water and born (baptised) of the Spirit, at least, according to the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. If you are not born of water properly, you can't be said to be born again according to God's definition. |
Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Acts 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. Acts 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Believers that were not baptised right had to be rebaptised in the Name of Jesus Christ before the Holy Ghost could come on them. No one was ever baptised in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost because the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost is Jesus Christ. If you haven't repented AND been baptised in Jesus Christ name, your sins have not been remitted, and thus the rapture may be out of the question for you. |

i.chuka:It is biblical that it would be done - that is a peace deal. It would require a sellout anyway, by the current Jewish leadership. |
8 ) Kerry as mediator Mr. Kerry himself promises to be the most effective Mideast peace mediator since Henry Kissinger. Kerry has made this his signature issue and has earned the trust of both parties. He has the full support of President Obama who stands ready to intervene personally to bridge the final gaps if and when the parties get close to a deal. None of these facts means success is assured or even likely. But they do mean it is possible. |
7) Shifts in the Arab world The Arab world, which in the past has acted as a brake on Palestinians, constraining their ability to make concessions, is now fully behind the peace effort. The Arab League has pledged to recognize Israel if there is a deal and to help bolster the Palestinian economy. Some Arab players who in the past could have caused problems, such as Syria, are effectively neutralized. Hamas has been weakened by the removal of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and the military crackdown against the Muslim Brotherhood, which is closely connected to the Islamic fundamentalist group in Gaza. If the talks show promise, Hamas may be forced to reconcile with Abbas and seek a political role in a future Palestinian state in order to remain relevant. |
6) Pressure on Netanyahu Netanyahu also feels a historic responsibility to get a deal if he can and if the price is not too high. Recently, he has begun speaking of peace in a new way, defining it as a vital need to keep Israel’s identity as a Jewish homeland and as a democracy. He knows that Jews will eventually be outnumbered on the land if there is no withdrawal from the West Bank and that the world will not stand by and allow Israel to deprive millions of Palestinians of basic democratic rights. Netanyahu has seen his own Likud Party move to his right and knows that his future as party leader is questionable. Yet he sees the bleak future Israel is facing in the absence of a two-state solution and he retains the option to put himself at the head of a wide, pro-peace coalition that could push through a deal. |
5) Abbas’s legacy Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas yearns to be the godfather of a Palestinian state. At age 78, he knows these talks are his last chance. Israeli settlements are growing year by year in the West Bank and at some point soon there won’t be enough land available for a viable Palestinian state. The more settlers Israel has to evacuate under the terms of a deal, the harder it will become to get one. Mr. Abbas is aware, too, that failure would leave him without good options. His fallback position would be to apply for membership as a state to more international institutions such as the International Criminal Court and try to wear Israel down through diplomatic and economic pressure. Abbas also knows that demographic trends are on his side because Palestinian birthrates are much higher than Jewish birthrates, and the Palestinian population as a whole is younger. At some point within the next couple of decades, Arabs will outnumber Israelis if the West Bank remains under Israeli control. Israel will then be forced to choose between remaining a Jewish state or remaining a democracy. But using future demographics as leverage is no substitute for establishing a Palestinian state now, through negotiations, and offers the Palestinians many more years of Israeli occupation. |
4) The cost of failure has risen The price of failure for both sides has risen considerably. In the past, leaders of both sides have felt able to walk away without paying a heavy political price. But now, both Israelis and Palestinians are very aware that a host of very negative consequences could follow a failure. As Washington Post columnist David Ignatius wrote in July: “What Kerry has done, in effect, is get the two sides to grab hold of a stick of dynamite. If they can’t defuse it within nine months through an agreement, it’s going to blow up.” For the Palestinians, failure of the talks could spark an economic meltdown, a possible collapse of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, and the strengthening of Hamas, the Islamist militant group ruling in Gaza. For Israel, it would lead to growing diplomatic isolation and the prospect of the worldwide boycott and disinvestment movement gathering steam. A recent move by the European Community to stop funding or dispensing awards and grants to Israeli companies, public bodies, and organizations working in settlements in the occupied territories was a sign of what may lie ahead. Mr. Netanyahu was said to have been profoundly shocked by the announcement. |
3. More time The parties have agreed to stick to the talks for at least nine months and to negotiate in secret. At least two previous attempts to get to a deal were ultimately defeated by lack of time. At Camp David in 2000, President Clinton summoned the leaders of both sides for two weeks of intensive talks that ultimately failed. The negotiators could not remain holed up at the presidential retreat any longer and the fact that Mr. Clinton was in the waning days of his presidency also did not help. In 2007 and 2008, the parties made considerable progress toward an agreement but time ran out when then-Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was forced to resign after becoming embroiled in a corruption scandal. This time, we are still in the first year of President Obama’s second term and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently won a new mandate. The nine-month window the parties have agreed to eliminates the danger that one or the other can just walk away the moment things start getting tough. It also minimizes the temptation to negotiate through the media or grandstand to their own constituencies. This time, they have the time and space to do real business. |
. |
2) 2. Better groundwork These talks have been better prepared than many previous efforts. Secretary of State John Kerry has carefully laid the groundwork, and US military experts have been holding separate talks with their Israeli counterparts in an effort to hammer out security arrangements that would meet Israel’s requirements for a military withdrawal from the West Bank. Without such guarantees that calm Israeli fears that a withdrawal will not open up a new terrorist front against them, no agreement can succeed. http://www.csmonitor.com/Commentary/Opinion/2013/0912/7-reasons-to-be-optimistic-about-Israeli-Palestinian-peace-talks/Better-groundwork |
By implication, the rapture also has to be in 2014 because it precedes this deal. Below reasons all culled from www.csmonitor.com 1) As 2014 opens, US Secretary of State John Kerry and Pope Francis have become an unlikely tag team aiming to accomplish what some deem impossible: an Israeli-Palestinian peace accord. One is emphasizing perspiration. The other is promising inspiration. In recent days Secretary Kerry has been shuttling furiously between key players in the region, from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to a pair of influential nearby kings, Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah. Kerry has kept his diplomacy positive in tone and close to the vest on details. His immediate goal is to come up with a framework agreement that would set out, in general terms, how a series of contentious (some say intractable) issues that divide the Israelis and Palestinians would be resolved. They include recognition of the state of Israel by the Palestinians and an agreement on what land would be included in any new Palestinian state, including land now in Israeli hands. Kerry has kept his eyes on the prize, defying those who see the problem as unsolvable. “t is clear to me that we can work to bridge the remaining gaps that do exist,” Kerry said in recent days. Although the road to peace is a difficult one, “this is not mission impossible.” While Kerry works tirelessly on the nuts and bolts, a May visit to the region by Pope Francis may provide another key ingredient: moral suasion. The pope’s coming trip to Israel, the West Bank, and Jordan (May 24-26) is not being billed as political. One stated aim is to mark the 50 years since Pope Paul VI and the leader of the world’s Orthodox Christians, Ecumenical Patriarch Atengora, met in Jerusalem. Pope Francis and the present Orthodox Christian leader, Bartholomew, are scheduled to hold a joint mass at Jerusalem’s Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built on the site where many Christians believe Jesus was crucified and resurrected. The pope will also meet with both Jewish and Muslim leaders. Rabbi Abraham Skorka, a friend of the pope, says he hopes Pope Francis will visit the Western Wall, which is sacred to Jews, and pray with him in Bethlehem “to show the world it is possible.” The Vatican has characterized the visit only in general terms, saying it was aimed “mainly at spreading and promoting love, cooperation, and peace among all inhabitants of the region.” Pope Francis has gained international attention, and much praise, for showing a special concern for the world’s poor and for pointing out the problem of income inequality. His trip to the Holy Land may magnify his voice dramatically on the issue of peace. On the surface, the questions that divide Palestinians and Israelis are far from being settled, and there’s little indication now of how the gaps could be closed. But a change of hearts must come before a change of minds. And the pope’s message of peace could set the tone for the region at large. An atmosphere of growing trust and respect, and the acknowledgment of the common humanity of both sides, is needed before any byzantine negotiations can yield fruit. The conversation must move to a higher plain first, recognizing the immense benefits both sides gain from peace, before it can get down to the essential spadework. Though they are not working consciously in tandem, Kerry and Pope Francis are in essence a powerful team promoting peace. Their efforts give hope to all those around the world whose hearts yearn for an Israeli-Palestinian accord. http://www.csmonitor.com/Commentary/the-monitors-view/2014/0106/Double-teaming-peace-in-Israel |
Sarassin: It probably makes you feel better to make a distinction between Magic and what you term “real miracles”. In reality there is no such distinction, All miracles involve a degree of magic with a corresponding ritual, specifically the thaumaturgical use of holy names, ( which is in itself fraught with dangers) One either has the ability or not, equally you could be a Christian and have the ability or a Muslim or indeed an Atheist, History tells us that no more than two or three people in a generation are genuinely imbued with this ability.Magic is any unnatural activity that cannot be attributed to God because the doer of it is a confirmed enemy of God by virtue of his/her stand against the Word of God-the Bible. Miracles othe other hand are unnatural activities that come from God by virtue of the doer's stance for the Word of God. |
Omexonomy: Since it is not easy to determine and they all claim their mirracle is from God and we dont wont to offend God then methink we should not say anything rather allow God to be the ultimate judge. That is actually a very safe but potentially dangerous strategy. What if you are worshipping God right under a fake pastor.. You need to know so you can save yourself. And if you are able to save yourself(assuming its a fake pastor truly) you have to try to save others and the only way to do that is to tell them or warn them somehow. I believe you are right in a way actually, but need to add something to it like : "well I won't say the miracle is from God or it's magic from the Devil, but I can say a real man of God will do and teach this this and this, and won't teach and do this this and this." One thing for sure: Satan can not heal. That said, true healing from God can still take place under a false prophet. I will edit my first post the reflect these 3 types of Servants of God. |
ogologodimkpa: By their fruits you shall know themTrue but there are some very nice friendly loving people I know that are atheists. Besides, you have to literally live with someone to truly know what they do when no one is looking...so this may not be easy to apply. |
The Lord Jesus showed us that blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is when you call the miraculous work of God, the work of the Devil. So you must be really careful when differentiating real miracles from magic, because they can be quite similar just like Moses versus Jannes and Jambres..He changed his staff to a snake and Jannes and Jambres did the same. The matter is even made more complicated when we realise that Judas the traitor performed miracles from God in heaven by the power of Jesus Christ. So how does one know? I have my ideas but lets hear first from some posters. In my view, there are three (functionally 4) categories to choose from: 1) A real Man of God/prophet that is not deceived and therefore in right standing with God -does genuine miracles/healing 2) A real Man of God/prophet that is in error and therefore deceived, not in right standing with God - genuine miracles/ healing can happen in his ministry. 3) A false Man of God/ prophet businessman - performs arrangee miracles 4) A false Man of God/prophet or magician/ businessman son of the Devil - performs magic through diabolical means Mog 1 and his followers comprise the 5 wise virgins going in the rapture. Mog 2 and his followers comprise 5 foolish virgins who will miss the rapture but make it through the tribulation Mog 3 more often than not eventually transits to become Mog 4, due to the pressure of business Mog 3 and Mog 4 and their followers are on their way to the Devil's hell -the ones Jesus said "if the blind lead the blind, all of them shall fall into the ditch". Our task therefore is to identify if who we are following is Mog 1or Mog 2 or Mog 3. Or Mog 4. If you can find Mog 1, and follow well, you 're good for the rapture. Unfortunately, they are extremely scarce and unpopular because "strait is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life and few there be that find it." |
Then, when it came. How it came. Like nothing in God's world. Like nothing. It was the scream of a siren, long and low, or the scream of a woman I heard having a baby when I was a kid. It was awful. It was as if something- some monster- was PUSHING UP THE SIDEWALKS. You felt it long before you saw it, as if the sidewalks wouldn't hold anymore. I looked out at the cars. They were honking but not scared. They just kept moving. They didn't seem to know yet that anything was happening. Then, that white car, that baby half-sized one, came sprawling from the inside lane right against the curb. The girl who was driving just sat there. She sat there with her eyes staring, as if she couldn't move, but I could hear her. She whimpered. Like a little girl. She made funny noises. I watched her, thinking of the other girl. I said that it was a dream and I would wake up.. But I didn't wake up. But I didn't wake up. The shaking had started again, but this time different. It was a nice shaking, like a cradle being rocked for a minute, and then I saw the middle of the Blvd. seemed to be breaking in two. The concrete looked as if it were being pushed straight up by some giant shovel. it. It was breaking in two. That is why the girl's car went out of control.. AND THEN A LOUD SOUND AGAIN, LIKE I'VE NEVER HEARD BEFORE...THEN HUNDREDS OF SOUNDS...ALL KINDS OF SOUNDS... children, and women and those crazy guys with earrings. They were all moving, it seemed, some of them above the sidewalk. I can't describe it. They were LIFTED UP. and the waters kept oozing...oozing. The cries. It was awful. I woke up. I never want to have that dream again. THE EARTHQUAKE It came again. Like the first time which was a preview and all I could remember was that it was the end of the world. I was right back there--all that crying. Right in the middle of it. My eardrums felt as if they were going to burst. Noise everywhere. People falling down, some of them bad hurt. Pieces of buildings, chips, flying in the air. One hit me hard on the side of the face, but I didn't seem to feel it. I wanted only to wake up, to get away from this place. It had been fun in the beginning, the first dream, when I kind of knew I was going to dream the end of the world or something. This was terrible. There were older people in the cars. Most of the kids were in the street. But those old guys were yelling bloody murder, as if anybody could help them.. Nobody could help them. Nobody could help them. It was then that I felt myself lifted up. Maybe I had died. I don't know. But I was over the city. It was tilting toward the ocean-like tilting a picnic table. The buildings were holding, better than you could believe. They were holding. They were holding. The people saw they were holding and they tried to cling to them or get inside. It was fantastic. Like a building had a will of its own. Everything else breaking around them, and they were holding, holding. I was up over them-looking down. I started to root for them. Hold that line, I said. Hold that line. Hold that line. I wanted to cheer, to shout, to scream. If the buildings held, those buildings on the Blvd., maybe the girl-the girl with the two kids-maybe she could get inside. It looked that way for a long time, maybe three minutes, and three minutes was like forever. Everybody was trying to get inside. They were going to hold. You knew they were going to hold, even if the waters kept coming up. Only they didn't. I've never imagined what it would be like for a building to die. A building dies just like a person. It gives way, some of the bigger ones did just that. They began to crumble, like an old man with palsy, who couldn't take it anymore. They crumble right down to nothing. And the little ones screamed like mad-over and above the roar of the people. They were mad about dying. But buildings die. I couldn't look anymore at the people. I kept wanting to get higher. I kept willing myself to go higher. Then I seemed to be out of it all, but I could see. I seemed to be up on Big Bear near San Bernardino, but the funny thing is that I could see everywhere. I knew what was happening. The earth seemed to start to tremble again. I could feel it even though I was up high. This time it lasted maybe twelve seconds, and it was gentle. You couldn't believe anything so gentle could cause so much damage. But then I saw the streets of Los Angeles-and everything between the San Bernardino mountains and L.A. It was all tilting toward the ocean, houses everything that was left. I could see the big lanes-dozens of big lanes still loaded with cars-five lanes in one place, and all the cars sliding the same way. Now the ocean was coming in, moving like a huge snake across the land. I wondered how long it was, and I could see the clock, even though I wasn't there on the Blvd.. It was 4:29. It had been half an hour. I was glad I couldn't hear the crying any more. But I could see everything. I could see everything. THE OTHER CITIES Then, like looking at a huge map of the world, I could see what was happening on the land and with people. San Francisco was feeling it, but she was not in any way like Hollywood or Los Angeles. I seemed to see it was the GARLOCK FAULT, not just the SAN ANDREAS that was rocking San Francisco. It was moving just like that earthquake movie with Jeanette McDonald and Gable. I could see all those mountains coming together-the Sierra Nevada, and the San Andreas and Garlock. I knew what was going to happen to San Francisco-it was going to turn over, because of Garlock. It would turn upside down. It went quickly, because of the twisting, I guess. It seemed much faster than Hollywood, but then I wasn't exactly there. I was a long, long way off. I shut my eyes for a long time-I guess ten minutes-and when I opened them I saw Grand Canyon, that great big gap was closing in, and Boulder Dam was being pushed from underneath. And then, Nevada, and on up to Reno. Way down south, way down Baja, California, Mexico too. It looked like some volcano down there was erupting, along with everything else. I saw the map of South America, especially Colombia. Another volcano-eruption-shaking violently. Venezuela seemed to be having some king of volcanic activity. Away off in the distance, I could see Japan, on a Fault, too. It was so far off-not easy to see, because I was still on Big Bear Mountain, but Japan started to go into the sea. I couldn't tell time, then, and the people looked like dolls, far away. I couldn't hear the screaming, but I could see the surprised look on their faces. They looked so surprised.. They were all like dolls. It was so far away I could hardly see it. In a minute or two it seemed over. Everybody was gone. There was nobody left. I didn't know time now. I couldn't see a clock. I tried to see the island of Hawaii. I could just see huge tidal waves...beating against it. The people on the streets were getting wet, and they were scared. But I didn't see anybody going into the sea. I seemed way around the globe. More flooding. Is the world going to be drenched? Constantinople. Black Sea rising. Suez Canal, for some reason seemed to be drying up. SICILY.. she doesn't hold. I could see map. Mt Etna is shacking. A lot of this area seemed to go, but it seemed to be earlier or later. I wasn't sure of time, now. ENGLAND.....huge floods-but no tidal waves. Water, water everywhere, but no one going into the sea. People were frightened and crying. Some places they fell in the streets on their knees and started to pray for the world. I didn't know the English were emotional. Ireland, Scotland-all kinds of churches were crowded-it seemed night and day. People were carrying candles and everybody was crying for California, Nevada, parts of Colorado- maybe all of it, even Utah. Everybody was crying-most of them didn't even know anybody in California, Nevada, Utah, but they were crying as if they were blood kin. Like one family. Like it happened to them. NEW YORK was coming into view-she was still there, nothing had happened, yet water level was way up. Here, things were different. People were running in the streets yelling-"end of world". Kids ran into restaurants and ate everything in sight. I saw a shoe store with all the shoes gone in about five minutes. Fifth Avenue- everybody running. Some radio blasting from a loud speaker that in a few minutes, power might be shut off. They must control themselves. Five girls were running like mad toward the Y.W.C.A., that place on Lexington or somewhere. They ran like they were scared to death. BUT NOTHING WAS HAPPENING IN NEW YORK. I saw an old lady with garbage cans, filling them with water. Everybody seemed scared to death. Some people looked dazed. The streets seemed filled with loud speakers. It wasn't daylight. It was night. I saw, like the next day, and everything was topsy turvy. Loud speakers again about fuel tanks broken in areas-shortage of oil. People seemed to be looting markets. Oregon, Washington, The Dakotas, Missouri, Minnesota, Canada I saw a lot of places that seemed safe, and people were not scared. Especially the rural areas. Here everything was almost as if nothing had happened. People seemed headed to these places some on foot, some in cars (that still had fuel). I heard-or somehow I knew- that somewhere in the Atlantic land had come up. A lot of land. I was getting awful tired. I wanted to wake up I wanted to go back to the girl-to know where she was-she and those two kids. I found myself back in Hollywood-and it was still 4:29. I wasn't up on Big Bear then- I was perched over Hollywood. I was just there. It seemed perfectly natural in my dream. T.V., Radio, Ham Operators I could hear now. I could hear, someplace, a radio station blasting out-telling people not to panic. They were dying in the streets. There were picture stations with movies-some right in Hollywood-these were carrying on, with all the shaking. One fellow ( in the picture (TV) station) was a little short guy who should have been scared to death. But he wasn't. He kept shouting and reading instructions. Something about helicopters or planes would go over-some kind of planes-but I knew they couldn't. Things were happening in the atmosphere. The waves were rushing up now. Waves. Such waves. Nightmare waves. Then, I saw again, Boulder Dam, going down...pushing together, pushing together breaking apart-No, Grand Canyon was pushing together, and Boulder Dam was breaking apart. It was still daylight. All these radio stations went off at the same time-Boulder Dam had broken. I wondered how everybody would know about it-people back East. That was when I saw the "ham radio operators". I saw them in the oddest places, as if I were right there with them. Like the little guy with glasses. They kept sounding the alarm. One kept saying: "This is California. We are going into the sea. This is California. We are going into the sea.. Get to the high places. Get to the mountains. All states west-this is California. We are going to the - We are going to the" - I thought he was going to say" sea". But I could see him. He was inland, but the waters had come in. His hand was still clinging to the table, he was trying to get up, so that once again he could say: "This is California we are going into the sea. This is California we are going into the sea." I seemed to hear this, over and over, for what seemed hours-just those words. They kept it up until the last minute-all of them-calling out "Get to the Mountains-This is California.-We are going into the sea." I woke up. It didn't seem as if I had been dreaming. I have never been so tired. For a minute or two, I thought it had happened. I wondered about two things. I hadn't seen all what happened to Fresno (his home) and I hadn't found out what happened to that girl. I've been thinking about it all morning. I'm going home tomorrow. It was just a dream. It was nothing more. Nobody in the future on Hollywood Blvd. is going to be wearing earrings-and those beards. Nothing like that is ever going to happen. That girl was so real to me-that girl with those two kids. It won't ever happen-but if it did, how could I tell her (maybe she isn't even born yet) to move away from California when she has her twins-and she can't be on the Blvd. that day. She was so real! The other thing-those ham operators-hanging on like that-over and over-saying the same thing: " This is California. We are going into the sea. This is California. We are going into the sea. Get to the mountains. Get to the hilltops. California, Nevada Colorado, Arizona, Utah. This is California. We are going into the sea." I guess I'll hear that for days.
