Ukutsgp:You get a better idea of what the writer was trying to say if you look at the same verse 6 in the Amplified version. It says " Jude 1:6 Amplified Bible (AMP) And angels who did not keep (care for, guard, and hold to) their own first place of power but abandoned their proper dwelling place— these He has reserved in custody in eternal chains (bonds) under the thick gloom of utter darkness until the judgment and doom of the great day." The emphasis is not a physical dwelling place but rather a position of power and authority- which only applies when one walks in truth. So it is the departure. of Satan and his fallen angels from truth that is the issue here. It is a long extrapolation to insinuate that this means angels sleeping with women. It didnt call the angels sons of God either. That Nephilim thing is a Jehovahs Witness idea. It finds no basis in the Bible when brought to scrutiny. |

We must let the Bible explain itself. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed with everlasting, or eternal, fire (Jude 7), and that fire turned them "into ashes" as a warning to "those that after should live ungodly," 2 Peter 2:6. These cities are not burning today. The fire went out after everything was burned out. Likewise, everlasting fire will go out after it has turned the wicked to ashes (Malachi 4:3). The effects of the fire are everlasting, but not the burning itself. Doesn't Matthew 25:46 say the wicked will receive "everlasting punishment"? Notice the word is punishment, not punishing. Punishing would be continuous, while punishment is one act. The punishment of the wicked is death, and this death is everlasting. |

CANTICLES:I believe your question is in bad faith but I will answer nonetheless. It is not good people that go to heaven but those who have made a covenant with God by sacrifice. The key here is the covenant which is entered into by a blood sacrifice. In the old testament that blood sacrifice was of animals. In the new testament it is of Christ. King David was among the old testament saints Jesus took with Him to heaven at His resurrection, regardless of his sin with Bathsheba. Let me shock you some. Even King Saul was in that company because he was anointed with oil. Samuel's ghost testified that King Saul went to where Samuel was, which is Abraham's bossom. |

Without this Holy Spirit, you are not a part of Christ or the Body of Christ for by this one Spirit we are baptised into one body. The Holy Spirit is a person. The Spirit of Christ is the same as the Spirit of God. Jesus Christ of the new testament is the Jehovah God of the old testament. |

Whoever compiled the scriptures is irrelevant to the fact that it is the scriptures which by the way clearly identifies the city of seven hills as the seat of the AntiChrist and calls the system he represents (Roman Catholicism) "Mystery Babylon the great the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth" which will be destroyed by God as is written in the book of Revelation. So it does no good for anyone to claim ownership of a Book that condemns that same person. |

Believe what you will about where the Bible came from, who named it etc, it doesnt change the fact that the Bible is the Word of God that would judge the world, the same which has already told us that the city of seven hills is the seat of the AntiChrist. So it does you no good to claim ownership of the Book that already very clearly identifies and condemns the system you stand for. Ranchhoddas:I believe yes there will be freewill in heaven. Guaranty it will not be misused is God's Word that tells us what will happen after this world. His Word never lies and He said sorrow, tears sighing and crying (all consequences of sin) will be no more. You either are a believer and believe this promise or you are not a believer, questioning His promise. There is no eternal torture in hell for sinners, because it would imply they have a form of eternal life. Hell and its contents have an end after aeons of time. Could be a zillion zillion years, nobody knows. Its long enough to be extremely terrible. The wages of sin is death period. Death is separation from God. The only place to keep those separated from God is hell. It is not for us to question God's discretion just as no one questions us when we kill an ant. Proportionality of justice- God is not a democracy. It is a theocracy. His judgment is ALWAYS just. |

No she is not the mother of God, she was an incubator, like a surrogate mother for Jesus Christ. The queen of heaven dates back to the creation of Babel by Nimrod the great. Semiramis, the wife of Nimrod started of the Maddonna and child idolatry after his death by claiming that her child that was born was Nimrod incarnated. Babel, after its language was confused by God scattered all over the world and took this idolatry wherever it went. It appeared in different languages as different names but referring to the same idol - Tammuz, women weeping for Tammuz, Queen of Heaven, and in todays Modern Babylon as Maddonna and child or as blasphemously labelled as Mary and Jesus. Again most of this is in history and fishing out applicable scriptures is almost a job of its own. |

Remember they also appeared at the transfiguration of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not a physical mark, it is a spiritual mark and the marking is already ongoing. The AntiChrist manifests as the Beast after the rapture. Prior to the rapture, He is referred to as the AntiChrist and has been around since the writing of the New Testament. The AntiChrist is personified in the office of the Pope and the mark of the beast is the doctrine of the AntiChrist which is "denying the doctrine of Christ for a counterfeit doctrine", again personified in Roman Catholicism and its prostitute daughter churches (Protestants) doctrine chiefly identified in trinitarianism. Now providing scriptures for this paragraph is a massive task and I cant do that right away. |

Hi all, I am sure some of my old friends remember me before the Nairaland Tsunami. I have just not been able to recreate those wonderfully illuminating , though controversial threads I had before the wipe-out. SO, here is my idea: ask a sincere question (I will decide if its a sincere question and not a pharisaic question  ), and I will try to pull out bible support for answers that by God's grace I will provide. I know others who have their own ideas will also put up their own answers , thats fine. Let the reader make their choice of what or better still, who to believe.So I'll set the ball rolling by answering a populer question around the forum.. [b] Is there predestination? Yes there is. God decides who He will save and who He will not save. HOWEVER, ONLY GOD KNOWS THIS INFORMATION, therefore everyone has a blank check to be among those He will save, by simply doing His will. If you do His will, then you are predestined to be saved. Some start doing His will just before they die, so you should never say this or that living person is predestined to be lost. In order words, leave predestination of he living in the hands of God. Predestination however helps us understand so many things in the Bible. . Romans 9:14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? I now you would have preferred not to have this disease, so i can say i am sorry to hear you have this disease and a consequent short time to live. Like you said, we all die, but its the attitude you die with that matters. Now to your quoted desire.. You have already met Him and do not need to meet Him physically, since your first meeting did not profit you except you change course now. You met Him when you saw the Bible. Every question you could ever ask Him has already been answered there. How can a father discipline his child and claim to love him? How can a mother discipline her daughter and claim to love her? You can choose to see the drinking glass as half full or half empty, it depends on your attitude. On the positive side, your disease will make you ponder on lifes questions like never before, seeking credible answers. This is God's desire. He will go to any length to bring you to your knees if you are his predestinated seed. All predestinated seed will respond on their knees in submission at His call. Someone that is not a predestinated seed will respond in the opposite direction, cursing abusing, angry at God, just like Cain, the son of the Devil.. thats how He responded when God called him - violent , bitter, and angry, full of hatred. You are currently responding to God's call like Cain. If you die with that attitude, it would mean, that you were all the while, a son of the devil like Cain. I am hoping for better things for you, that after the initial anger, that you will calm down and soberly consider the situation. What would you gain from going to hell unnecessarily? is it not just your pride talking? Why not surrender and submit to God that He indeed has the power to make or break you. Only pride will hinder you from doing this and as you know, pride is Satan's identifying characteristic and of His children. I am trusting that you ar a child of God. If so, then change course now AlfaSeltzer. Did God have the power to prevent you from having this disease? Yes Why did He not do it? To fullfill His eternal purpose What is His eternal purpose - to reveal who He is, a saving, healing, merciful, kind, gentle sweet God Since He is the potter, He has the right to fashion out anything He likes with the clay. He can make, crumble the clay, make it again into something else, burn it in fire to give the clay strength, and He can make some clay for drinking with, and some to carry poop. You and I are the clay, you have no right to question the potter doing with His clay what He wills, just the same way nobody questions you when you kill an ant. Reconcile yourself positively with this fact of life. |
