How does that piece of news oppress youhuh How really? If you like the news, then you can read. If you don't like the headline, then keep it moving.. Simplicitaa..
Why feeling "oppressed"huh Why!?@?/@!??

Why do you Nigerians like to tell others how to live their lives?
This is the way she wants to appeal to her only child. Why do you want to pontificate and moralise. What's your business there?

You are very funny. I am proud of my identity. I don't need to follow the crowd just because everyone is doing something. My identity does not rely on attaching myself to what's not mine or looking for validation just because. In Africa, we are Ubuntu but I understand how our minds have been corrupted so what we think is self worthy is comparison for status.

And you are right, everyone is entitled to his style. wink

He is correct to an extent but opposition must be aware that those who are good at propaganda are equally good at gaslighting. So you will end up questioning your own reality because they have taken control of the narrative. These ones are more dangerous. October 2020 was an example. Now, they don't even need to lie, they put it in your face. 2023 was another example for that. You should know they are good in media manipulation because that's the tool they used to get to power and they are not going to lose easily in the dog fight to create a 📺 reality.

That is not true. Different religions are aware of the evil eye, evil spirits and bad omen. If you like, do superman enter, it's not fear, it's just using other people's wisdom. Politics › Re: Senate Urges Tinubu To Sack CAC Registrar-General, Hussaini Magaji by SixSeven:
I don't think just because someone doesn't answer the Senate, then you have to sack them. Is there another way we can calm our egos? I know the Senate represents the people but I know how this thing caused problems back then with CBN. Professor Itse Sagay (Chairman, PACAC), Hameed Ali (Former Comptroller-General of Customs), Ibrahim Idris (Former Inspector General of Police) and Deziani have been on this table. What is the major reason for recommending his sack aside refusal to appear before the Senate?

Under the Legislative Houses (Powers and Privileges) Act, 2017, refusing to honor a summons is classified as contempt of the Legislative House.
A person convicted of such contempt is liable to a fine of N500,000 or imprisonment for two years, or both.

The constitutional power to summon individuals is derived from Sections 88 and 89 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
A. Section 88: Grants the National Assembly the power to direct an investigation into any matter for which it has the power to make laws, including the conduct of any person or ministry.

B.Section 89: Specifically empowers the Senate, the House of Representatives, or their committees to summon any person in Nigeria to give evidence or produce documents. This section also allows for the issuance of warrants to compel attendance if a summons is ignored.

My question is, is the Senate acting within its own laws? Someone please educate me if I am wrong.

Nigerians are just insecure people. I mean, many of them are insecure, both the rich and the poor. The rich think if they can show off, they are better higher than others. The poor think if they can be humble or religious, they are better than others. After all, the rich will not go to heaven before the needle in a haystack or that thing they tell them.

What is the essence of this? Each time, Nigerians push the bar to oppress each other and play hunger games.

I can send my kids to private school.
I can send my kids to private tutors.
I can send my kids to holidays abroad.
I can send my kids to prom.
I can buy my kids a car for their 16 birthday.
I can order my kids from IVF store.
I can make my kids speak Queen's English but not my own language 🤡
Rich people, poor thinking. It's all signaling.

I told a friend who's in haunt for apartment in my area about the availability in this our neighbourhood and before he could speak my sister and my mom said is it not the same house that an old woman lived before passing away? And I was like is there anything wrong with it? But my mom stretched out words to debunk any attempt of my friend taking the apartment as she said the old woman have been living in the house for more than 40yrs before she died. That it's not good for someone who's not deep in the spirit to acquire a such house.
PLEASE IS THERE ANYTHING LIKE GHOST OR MY MOM WAS ONLY SPEAKING FROM TRADITION?
What you are haunting for is haunting you.

On a more serious note, your mom probably has more information than you do and 40 years is not a joke. Many people here are not even up to 40 so don't take your mom's warning for granted. She likely knows something that you don't know. Are there haunted houses? Just google the term and you'd be surprised. It's not a Nigerian thing. There are not only haunted houses, there are haunted places. You've been forewarned.

We should be making the naira strong that we don't even bother about the dollar. Why is our economy pegged to the dollar's position? Many Nigerians are shocked when they japa and take dollars abroad and the locals are looking at you as if you are not okay. Except that country is poor or like tourists, most countries will inisist on the local currency.

Writing is a very important part of your life. I once wrote here and someone said that I used AI. Writing means that you can think. It means you can bring thoughts together, you can express yourself. It means you can express restraint and apply critical thinking before publishing. Why am I writing about writing? Because an IG that writes may not necessarily mean he will be good but from his thoughts, you can know who he is. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks hand writes. This IG has been journaling his career and thoughts for years since social media arrived. He has not abused the privilege of social media neither have you seen him posting cruise. One of his posts, I clipped it some years ago because he wrote about family discipline. You can document his history on his behalf by just curating his posts. Writing is comprehension, comprehension leads to understanding. Understanding produces wisdom. This post he has here is iconic and even if he spends 1 day as IG, he has told you where security should start from, YOUR HOMES!

Ok,now I see why marriages don't last if love is just an emotion. How mediocre is the level of your thinking to define love as An Emotion.
Love is a deliberate act that requires maturity, emotional and spiritual maturity.Marriage is for mature minds, mature minds are people that understands that love is not just an emotion.
She is actually right. Love is blind. When you spend years in marriage, you'll know love is not enough. The idea that marriage must be based primarily on romantic love became strongly emphasized in the modern West. It wasn't our thing. And I'm not saying we as a people don't love, but there was a more important reason for marriage. Marriage wasn’t just between two individuals, it was between families. That's why they placed emphasis on other people checking it out for you, not you going on your own alone. All those romantic things we see in movies are fallacies.

Africa prioritizes structure before emotions and it's not just us, Asians have this too.

Politics › Re: Lagos Is Pumping Itself Dry – Boreholes Are A Ticking Time Bomb by SixSeven:
We built Lagos indeed.

One of the things that never impressed me about Tinubu and I choose Tinubu because he had the chance to change this back then in the 99 - 07, was the failure to make Lagos Water Corporation supply the state. That was a monumental failure if you recognize how much Jakande did in 4 years for a Lagos of our dreams. Pure water made its debut in Lagos around the early 2000s. Government watched on. If you were a child who took water from the tap on the public, raise your hands up 🙌 If a government, whether it's Tinubu or not cannot provide the basic infrastructure such as water, light and good roads, F9 ❌ Yesterday, someone said luxurious is the most abused word used in Nigeria today. And the person said they use the term luxury because most Nigerians have not been given the basics or experienced it before so anyone can say their solar is luxury 😔 The defenders of the government never experienced anything better, so they think defending the government is better and constructive criticism is bitter!

Now, the IPP Tinubu fought Obasanjo for, Lagos has the golden chance to generate its electricity and do far better than what Abia's Orji is currently bragging about, but instead of them to ask questions, they prefer all of you to be fighting ethnic and religious fights so they can never be held accountable. Who loses? You the foolish people who let politicians play their cards on you. Lagos is trying to keep the environment clean when Fashola did his home work. Sanwoolu is still struggling with administering a clean city. Ambode came and visionscaped everything away. Yet, they say they had a masterplan. Fashola also blamed the FG for the electricity independence and they finally got to power in 2015. They've been there for years, no opposition but light up Lagos is what Sanwo-Olu is celebrating in 2026 after Ambode made that his first 100 days project in 2015. Make it make sense. Your leaders are evil. Instead of serving you, they corner your resources and always want to settle contractors so the money can come back to them. No light, no water. Bad environment, bad water. Bad waste, dirty water. Chai.

You all are comfortable with sleeping with your oppressors.

You provide your own electricity (generator)
You provide your own water (bore hole)
You provide your own road (patch)
You provide your own housing (build your own)
You provide your own drinking water (pure water)
You provide your own waste management system
And they tax you upon all of these. You must be so in love with yourself that you will allow a government abuse you this much. They tax you for not doing their jobs. Oyo State wanted to tax those who dug boreholes but they were quiet about the negligence of the state to provide water to the people. And they had an engineer as Governor. Your politicians are very very very very wicked people.

REPOST

Meta said you should talk to your neighbours as if they can hear you. That's how you know artificial intelligence from real. Have we tried talking to our governments? How Nigerians became comfortable with this thing is insane, some people use industrial generators that work with diesel. Now everyone is going solar too because of government negligence. Tinubu himself changed the power supply at the Villa to solar. GCFR
Generator Commander of the Federal Republic.

https://www.tiktok.com/video/7532602447609564421

Generator noise is not the loudest of your problems, it is the fumes that are the silent killers and probably one of the reasons for the increase in cancer cases in Nigeria without us knowing. Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) are a major component of fuel generator fumes. Carcinogenicity of these compounds has long been established. Those pollutants are not safe for your air and direct contact with your skin, water and environment. Imagine sitting behind the exhaust of a vehicle. That's what we are doing to ourselves.
If you cannot sleep well because of the noise, your health is affected. If you cannot hear well, because of the noise, your hearing is affected.
If you cannot breathe well because of the smoke, your health is affected. If you have the money, switch to solar but what sense does that make if you still live in an environment where your neighbours still use generators? You see why Nigerians need to solve this problem as a collective instead of doing I beta pass my neighbour competition.

Who did this to us undecided All I want to say is they don't even care about us
