My model is that we need both. When we say we want you to think outside the box, we mean we want to see you apply that knowledge to the current situation, our current reality. Unfortunately, some teachers are also part of the problem. They don't want you to update the curriculum, they just want you to give it back to them because that was their right of honor. This is why creative students are often misunderstood. The movie three idiots tried to capture this

It's not about us Nigerians but if there's any decency left, the SP should know when to say certain things and where. The current NASS has been highly trashed not by the President but by the Senate itself. They don't respect their own floor so anyone can command them to stand up and start singing on your mandate and they will do it.

Politics › Re: NBA Election: Tinubu’s Meddling Is A Test Run Of Rigging 2027 Polls- Atiku Media by SixSeven: 12:07pm On Jul 17
Image123:
Please provide fact and evidence. Politics is not a faith or religion. We are tired of sensational accusations and propaganda battles. This is not the only way to play opposition.
The NBA President automatically holds a seat on the National Judicial Council (NJC). The NJC is the exclusive body that recommends who gets appointed as judges, appeal court justices, and Supreme Court justices in Nigeria. By covertly backing a compliant faction within the NBA, the presidency ensures that future judicial appointments lean in favor of judges friendly to the ruling party (APC).

Tinubu's primary political base is the South-West region. Since the 2026 NBA election cycle belongs to the Western zone, there are deep allegations that state actors are putting immense financial and political pressure on the Egbe Amofin faction to produce a consensus leader who will not oppose the Tinubu administration's legal or economic policies.

Politics › Re: NBA Election: Tinubu’s Meddling Is A Test Run Of Rigging 2027 Polls- Atiku Media by SixSeven:
I have asked the question before

SixSeven:
Do you ever wonder why organized labour, unions, student government activists, legislative pressure, trade associations, civil society organizations and many more suddenly died since 2015? Connect the dots.

Today the people are so divided that they can never unite for one cause that affects them all.
In 2015, the NBA officially amended its constitution to mandate that the national presidency must strictly rotate among these three geographical factions (Northern Zone, Eastern Zone, and Western Zone) every two years.

Even within the unified NBA structure, lawyers naturally group into powerful regional caucuses that act as internal political factions, especially during national elections:

1. The Northern Caucus (Arewa Lawyers Forum): Represents the collective legal interests of the 19 northern states.
2. The Eastern Bar Forum (EBF): A highly organized bloc representing lawyers from the South-East and South- South geopolitical zones.
3. The Western Bar Forum (Egbe Amofin): The influential legal caucus encompassing lawyers from the South- West region

If the Eastern Bar Forum takes a turn, the next term must go to the Western Bar Forum, followed by the Arewa (Northern) Lawyers Forum, and so on. Because of this rule, the factions hold massive leverage. When it is a specific region's turn, that faction's internal leadership meets to micro- zone or pick a single consensus candidate to represent their entire block, essentially trying to pre-determine who the next NBA President will be before the general election even starts.

The NBA is currently highly factionalized due to intense political warfare surrounding the national leadership elections. Following legal battles that saw the Court of Appeal clearing the path for the elections, the Bar's factions are currently aligned behind the main presidential candidates:

1. Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro faction

2. Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe faction

3. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okunsanya faction

So much for our learnes fellows who are trained to respect constitutionalism and objective merit. Yet, when NBA election season arrives, they merit and vote strictly based on ethnic or regional tribalism (whether a candidate belongs to the West, East, or North) because Nigeria is highly complex. Wetin lawyers de do sef

Very absurd poll.

Poll: Why did Prince Adeyemi run a fake presidential council and smuggle a ₦1.3 billion allocation into the national budget?

Because he wants a "better" Nigeria where elites can forge presidential signatures and siphon billions without consequences

Because he knows the Tinubu government is incompetent, so he believed he could easily slip a fake agency past Aso Rock

He has no regard for the rule of law or everyday Nigerians. No wonder he is throwing wild bribery allegations at top officials after getting caught

Poll: Why is Minister Dave Umahi keeping quiet and letting state machinery block the autopsy of Mary Habila after she died in his residence?

Because he wants a "better" Nigeria where powerful politicians can hide suspicious deaths in their palatial homes without any legal consequences

Because he knows the Tinubu government is incompetent, so he believes he can use state power to silence the victim's family and escape an independent probe

He has no regard for the lives of citizens or everyday Nigerians. No wonder he aggressively targets journalists and critics who dare to demand transparency from him

SixSeven:
I posted a video in my last comment. One of the reasons I don't bother arguing with women and don't give a damn about whether they think my comment is pandering or not is because with time, women eventually find out the truth. Time is a beautiful patient bride for men but an ugly tortuous truth for women. I need to copyright that. Women also don't like being told the truth, so keep telling them beautiful lies if you want to make them happy.

What happens to these women is that they have to settle. It was never a competition but the system does not favor men initially, it beats them but once you clock 30, things start to change. Men who learned from the beatings will start to look good while women who didn't know time changes yesterday will wake up to the reality of a new dawn. This is why the world always tried to raise the girl child more than the boy child because men can make many mistakes and still recover. A woman's recovery is usually hard if she makes mistakes, so man overtime knew this and wanted to raise her because they knew the future isn't nice, it can be harsh.

It's often too late before women realize in their 40s that the select few men they want are either married or not interested in them because of their age. They are then susceptible to fork boys/men and younger men who are still discovering themselves and not emotionally/financially mature for them. Women know themselves, that's why it's usually difficult for mothers to accept their sons marrying an old woman say 25 yo man vs 40 yo woman. The women know themselves. Women wake up one day later in life to see they are not as beautiful as they thought and newer editions have come out. Attention has gone to the beautyful ones who are born and trending.

While you will always want to start from tribe, our leaders are united in oppression where they show at various levels where they don't believe in the country.

President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, both faced heavy public backlash for sharing pictures celebrating their children's graduations from prestigious universities in the United Kingdom.

The public outrage stemmed from the contrast between the political elite educating their families abroad while Nigeria's own public university system. Additionally, Rotimi Amaechi celebrated his son's graduation at Simon Fraser University in Canada in June 2019, David Umahi attended his daughter's first-class robotics ceremony at Queen Mary University of London in July 2025, and Nyesom Wike traveled to the UK for his son's master's degree graduation at King's College London in January 2026. In stark contrast, Labor Minister Dr. Chris Ngige chose to celebrate his daughter's local medical induction from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in September 2021.

Politics › Re: Nigeria Has No Business With Poverty – Shettima by SixSeven: 2:47pm On Jul 16
Sir, this is a very important comment you have made. Are you aware that Nigeria's poverty rate has risen significantly over the last decade, climbing from 40.1% in 2015 before the All Progressives Congress (APC) took power to 56% at the end of Muhammadu Buhari's administration, and peaking at 63% today (mid-2026) under President Bola Tinubu?

In numbers of people, based on Nigeria's rapid population growth over the last decade, the equivalent number of people living in poverty has nearly doubled, rising from 72.6 million people in 2015 to approximately 151.2 million people today in 2026.

Romance › Re: The Understanding Person Is The One Who Always Gets The Short End Of The Stick by SixSeven: 1:23pm On Jul 16
Scenario One: The Burden of Being "The Understanding One"
The rigid cultural mandate of elder deference in Nigeria forces one of the world's youngest populations to remain patient, polite, and understanding in the face of systemic bullying and abuse from an older generation that rarely returns the respect. This lopsided dynamic forces younger Nigerians to constantly act as the only emotionally mature people in the room; when an elder screams, insults, or acts unfairly, the youth are expected to de-escalate, bow their heads, and swallow their anger. Family and society frequently witness this bullying and excuse it with phrases like "just bear it" or "he is your elder," enforcing a toxic emotional suppression that requires young people to bury genuine hurt and trauma just to maintain social peace.

Scenario Two: Professional and Workplace Bullying
This cultural entitlement seamlessly follows young Nigerians into their careers, where older managers and CEOs often act as dictators, treating young graduates as domestic servants rather than professionals. Under the guise of "training" or "building character," young employees are routinely overworked, underpaid, and spoken to harshly, allowing ageism to take precedence over professional boundaries.

Scenario Three: The Political and National Scale
This workplace abuse perfectly mirrors the broader national and political landscape, where an aging ruling class governs a predominantly youthful population. These older politicians feel entitled to power, demanding respect and praise for doing the bare minimum or nothing at all while actively driving policies that ruin the future of the youth. When young people stand up to protest, as seen during the EndSARS movement, the ruling class weaponizes the concept of respect, shifting the blame by accusing the youth of being "disrespectful" or "ruined by internet culture."

The Double Standard of Respect
Ultimately, this creates a hypocritical double standard where respect is a dangerous one-way street. The older generation has completely broken its cultural contract to provide guidance, economic stability, and safety, yet still demands absolute submission from the youth.

When people see you as an understanding person.
It's safer to stay wicked.
It's safe to say this world is a world of use and dump. Most of us humans thrive on taking advantage of others for our own benefit, it's only the method that is different.

I think understanding people are perceptive. They can see through things so eventually they attract their type but we have to understand that certain cultural expectations put the burden on people without their permission. Nigeria is a good example of the younger people being nice and understanding to the abuse and bullying of the old and respect is expected from the person who can't even show that respect. Many older people view any questioning of their authority or tone as a sign of Westernization and a collapse of moral values but it is sometimes the abuse they want peprtatred while expecting the young ones to be nice and understanding for something that does not make sense. It's growing older that some people have the confidence to say NO to certain things, even at the work place!

Anyway to the nice people, don't stop being nice and understanding, just stop being nice and understanding to the wrong people, not everyone deserves your love. Don't let people's negativity change who you are. You will find peace and calm in your profile than the calculating, mischievous AI model you will live if you change your profile. Beat me once, don't let them beat you twice. Believe people when they show you who they are.
