Makes no difference. Isn't the VP the spare tire after allhuh 🤡.. Until Yar'Adua and some governors died, these politicians never gave the 2-IC role much thought and ever since then, they have made sure that the institution does not work. They are always in charge 24/7, they never take breaks, never go on vacation and never want to let go, even for 1 min. Demo crazy.

PoliticsRe: It Was A Brutal Assault — Otitoju Slams Tinubu Aide Bwala by SixSeven: 5:11pm On Mar 08
APC wants to sell us a dummy.

While Tinubu's single media chat in late 2024 was a comprehensive session involving multiple major Nigerian and international outlets (Arise News, Channels TV, Bloomberg), it remains an infrequent occurrence compared to the daily or weekly media availability common in many other G20 and emerging economy nations.

PoliticsRe: It Was A Brutal Assault — Otitoju Slams Tinubu Aide Bwala by SixSeven:
Otitoju, live up to your name. Your principal should be speaking to the Press. He should be answering questions about his administration. He should be giving us updates. Tell your boss the truth. I have no business with Bwala and I have already written about it here. Even Otitoju cannot stand Arise for instance because on the TVC show, he dominates the conversation and the anchors don't want to offend their boss. They had to create a special show for him and he is always interrupting others. See I give Mehdi Hasan a gold medal. If he has also not been on the hot seat, I would have said this one na all these shouting journalists but Hasan has been on Piers Morgan, he has been on Jubilee show against 20 Conservatives for 1hr 40mins, he has been on various shows where his opponents don't like him and he can defend himself. Can you guys do that? You all want soft landing and always use age to cry victim. This is why I insist that the likes of Rufai have their nuisance value. You guys, if you can stand your own ground even in your enemies camp, na man you be. Anything else means you want soft landing and you are only paper tigers. This is a distraction, I didn't vote for Bwala.

So what are you talking about? You should do better as a lawyer when attending the trials.
Let us stop deflecting from the elephant in the room. Bwala is not to blame. Tinubu is the one who has questions to answers, not his ministers, not his aides, not his SAs, not his hired journalists. You guys were so ready to bash PDP then, and I think this was what made Jonathan to stop doing the presidential media chat because you were always ready to pick holes but look at you now. Guys, I want to ask you a question, if you are in a relationship with a girl for 8 years and she only speaks to you once or twice in that 8 years, do you know the direction of that relationship? That's how your relationship with APC is, they did this for 8 years. I can count the number of times Buhari talked about national issues and the direction the country and his administration was going. When Arise got to speak to him, they called the interview EXCLUSIVE o For your own President undecided

This was how they sold Buhari's silence to you for 8 years (they were trying to mystify him but you all saw the incompetence and the old man was dealing with his health) and if this continues, they will deify the Presidency for you Nigerians when the number 1 should be answering questions and be kept on his toes. Nigerians deserve to hear updates from their own President, not spokesperson. He should go to the enemies camp. Even Trump is bold enough to answer questions from the press as much as he doesn't like the Democrats or left leaning press. I have more words from Mark Carney, the Canadian leader from interviews, or speeches than I have heard from my own president. If I remember well, the Canadian guy came in after Tinubu so what are we talking about. Putin sef de do interview. Wetin be this. Is Mr Tinubu weak? Are you trying to sell cowardice and making it look like he is a god? What a shame APC

PoliticsRe: Nonye Soludo wants women to take center stage in the fight for gender equality. by SixSeven:
Gender equality means that the rights, responsibilities and opportunities of individuals will not depend on whether they are male or female, handicapped or able bodied, young or elderly, white or black, or from rural or urban settings. Women are entitled to live in dignity, safety and security.
I think there is a big mistake here when women use gender equality to fight for what they want. Just say we want this or we need this because we are women, we are human. Anytime men hear gender equality, what is on their mind is that a man = a woman and they will just laugh it away.

I also want women in Africa to study their history. They blame patriarchy for a lot of things but Fela once said how Animal go give me human rights? Many African women don't know that they had more rights than the oyinbo women before they came with colonization. They colonized your brains to say you are oppressed and your men are depressing you while they were raising their own queen like she's a gift of the world, praying for her everyday for God to save her. Fela should know because if you know what his mom did for Nigeria, you will understand that gender equality is not your trauma, it's oyinbo trauma dem carry on una head to fight their own agenda. They turned you women to employees of the workforce and you are no longer boss lady like your grandmas were. Now, you are now fighting for rights in the workplace that those same people never wanted you in and they are blaming patriarchy 🤡
Industrious women back then did not need to be CEO of one company to be rich. Yes, I use rich this time. They were not collecting salaries. They were making their own money and that's why the British wanted to tax them. And that's why everytime there were riots, it was your mothers fighting them because our men did not tax them the way the British administration wanted to.

They took your power away from you, they took your entrepreneurship away from you to come work in their own companies, then you realise that you have to fight for your menstrual cycle, your maternity leave, your right to pick up your child, your time to take care of family, your time to work from home or flexible options, your right to progress in life. You sold yourselves. Boss lady

Guestmale:
The best way to have maintained that none alignment was for Mr. VP to have kept quiet and not spoke against Israel at the UN especially when they didn't ask for his opinion.
Yes and No.

1. Anti-Apartheid Leadership: During the 1970s and 1980s, Nigeria became a leading voice within NAM against racial oppression and imperialism. The country provided significant financial and diplomatic support to liberation movements like the African National Congress (ANC) in South Africa.

2. Peacekeeping: Nigeria has frequently leveraged its NAM membership to participate in global peacekeeping and conflict resolution, notably in the Congo.

This is why VP spoke against Israel. This is why Nigeria spoke against Israel in South Africa's apartheid. This is why Nigeria spoke against the US in Angola. It's not today Nigeria has been speaking. In fact, if you go the 1960 videos, some of them are on YouTube, you'll see our leaders say no one can oppress the black man anywhere in the world and Nigeria will keep quiet. Again, recently, VP Shettima reminded us of how Cuba is important to Nigeria, another country Trump wants to strike. What people are not seeing is the larger picture is that imperialists want to strike the powerhouses of the 'minority' so they can continue their thievery and looting. Nigeria received US attention because Shettima called out Israel in Palestine and rightly so. Now, you are seeing that they want to launch operations here but we know what the oppressors have done historically, they can't changed their stripes.

I don't support this government but I am not the type of person who will always be looking for fault. I was proud of our president standing up to what was just and calling it out the way South Africans did. In Buhari's regime, our Minister of State for Oil also made me proud the moment he went to Davos and told these Green people that they can't just start telling us to go green after exploiting our resources and don't want us to use the same resources to build our country and want us to pay for it.

They are already selling a story of Christian oppression in Nigeria. They always look for a reason to justify their evil. Always. All the time. But those who can see can see a familiar pattern, it's all about control of resources. Sorry, stealing of resources of other countries.
PoliticsRe: Northerners Chant “Death To Israel, Death To America” In Abuja, Kaduna by SixSeven:
Nigeria has a non alignment policy. This means if tomorrow Iran should attack Israel, Nigeria will be against it. This is why VP Shettima spoke against Israel at the UN. Many don't know their country and I blame the government for this mass ignorance by her citizens.

Nigeria has maintained a policy of non-alignment since its independence in 1960, officially joining the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in 1964. As an influential African nation, Nigeria historically adopted this stance to avoid Cold War power blocks, favoring sovereignty, anti-colonialism, and African unity.

Key aspects of Nigeria and the Non-Aligned Movement include:
1. Historical Approach (1960–1983): Nigeria's non-alignment was initially a "policy of self-restraint," which fluctuated between a pro-Western stance and a truer neutral posture during different regimes.
2. Foreign Policy Foundation: Non-alignment acts as a "third pole" or alternative for developing nations, supporting the fight against neo-colonialism and promoting economic development.
3. Modern Relevance (2024–2025): Nigeria continues to utilize NAM to champion the Global South's interests, demanding equitable access to capital for developing nations rather than simply seeking aid.
4. Strategic Position: As of 2025, Nigeria is seen as a key player in promoting a new, non-aligned approach to resisting economic and technological dependency in a fragmented, transactional, non-bipolar global order.

Historically, Nigeria's implementation of non-alignment has been described as a way to diversify dependence to achieve economic and political goals, rather than strict isolationism.
