"Joshua Francis was your real Father" Elena announced.

Fredrick gasped, His eyes wide opened and He couldn't close His mouth again for a while. all his senses seems to fly away. but Elena took no notice.

"Thirty years ago, When Lucas killed John, the Man I truly loved, everything was worthless and I vowed that no matter how long it takes, I will find a way to kill Lucas. I did everything, made investigations and I found a witch Named Malia. it was two weeks after John died. She told Me that only one weapon exists that can kill Lucas and the weapon is with His father. She asked me to join team with Micheal but I must wait for 30 years before I do so. she said that together, we stand a chance."

"But she was not sure we have what it takes to kill Lucas and so, She made some precautions and if we fail to Kill Lucas, we are going to unleash Lucas Demons that would finally kill Him."

Elena came to a stop that leaves Fredrick speechless.

"I don't get the whole point of this story" Fredrick said after some minutes of silence.

"I met Joshua after Malia died in my hand, She transferred a bit of her power to me, and I know I have to have children before the 30 years, so I agreed to marry Josh. after two sons, I want no more, so I sent him away from the pack." Elena gave a long explanation again.

"what are you driving at Mum?" Fredrick asked, "If you don't love Him, why did you marry Him?"

"Malia told me to wait for 30 years before I join Micheal, before we attack Lucas" Elena answered.

"By that "We" I assume you are talking about you and Micheal?" Fredrick asked again, getting more confused.

"Yes"

"I still don't understand" Fredrick said, "why did she want you to have children first?"

"Because if we failed, I am going to die" Elena answered

"Die??" Fredrick asked, half shouting, "How?"

"The precautions Malia took involved me, She used Her power to summon me by making my investigations leads to her. when she died in my hands, a bit of her power transferred to me and thus, I become an anchor"

to Fred, Everything was Unbelievable. From Josh being his father, to all those witchcraft nonsense. if Josh was truly His father, that Means He killed his Father. and Now He is going to lose his mother.

" is there a reverse or loopholes" Fredrick asked, daring to hope.

"I knew what I was getting into. No Fred, there is no loophole, I accepted to be the Anchor" Elena said with a sad smile.

"All these because of love?" Fred shouted with frustration.

"Love is the most strongest thing in the world" She said trying to ease his pain.

"No Mother" Fred shouted, "Love is a weakness"

Elena smiled, "actually dear Son, Fear is the weakness. once you fear something, it becomes your weakness and could be use against You."

Fred looked at Her Mother like She's gone mad, She didn't know what she is saying.

"I am not afraid to Love, and I am not afraid to die for love. I loved John, and I am ready to die in the process of seeking revenge for Him" Elena said Finally.

Fredrick sat beside His mother, He buried His head in his palms. Sylvester was dead, He killed his father, now He is about to lose his mother also. His despair was great.

"One more thing" Elena said from Behind Him, Fred didn't move nor did He make any move or showed signs that He heard Her. But Elena was sure He did.

"I collected a bit of crystal from your father, it is called the Bluemoon. We were told tales of it when we were kids, every storytellers seemed to have different versions of what the crystal does but they hold to one point, it holds unspeakable powers" Elena said and brought out a round crystal ball from her inner clothes. it was blue all round. it is unlike any Crystal you have ever seen, it didn't not sparkle but look dull and blur.

"I want you to find out what it does" Elena said as She gave the Bluemoon to Fred.

"I don't.........." Fred was saying before He was cut short by Elena who held her middle finger over his lips to stop him from talking.

"I took it from your Father, He was experimenting on it, I was afraid the experiments would make it lost its power, and so when I sent him from the pack, I took it from Him" She said casually.

Fred didn't say anything but held the Crystal in his hand and walk out of the room to think about everything his mother had just told him. Elena on the other hand fell back on the bed to sleep.



The Next Morning, Elena was dead.
Fredrick buried Her, and left town. ready to come back when the precautions Malia made begin to work. He did not know what "Lucas Demons" are but He hope his mother did not die for Nothing.

"you haven't answered my question" Ann said to him, expecting him to continue his story.

Lucas Smiled.

"King Arthur decided He is not going to use Magic to try to defeat the monster. and He set out with His Knight on the last day of the year to look for the monster. this was after a fresh report was given. Merlin casted a strong spell that would not allow us to move from wherever we were till King Arthur caught up with Us." He stopped and looked into the ocean. He let his soul drift into the past.

*FLASHBACK*

December 31st, 759AD

Arthur and His men neared the four Monsters, the monsters could not move nor could they do anything. it was like they were tied by an invisible chain.

Arthur look at them, He couldn't believe his eyes. the monsters are not monsters. they were Humans, but with fangs.

"What are you?" the King could not stop himself from asking, His sword was drawn, ready to strike at any opportunity if they make any move.

Micheal, Lucas, Kolin and Mariam were trembling in front of the Knights of the roundtable. these Knights are the best in the whole of the five Kingdoms.

"We were Humans" Micheal answered trembling.

"Were?" Arthur asked again in surprise, "that is past tense"

"Yes" Michael answered again, His voice trembling still.
"We were Humans until we have to change to creatures with speed, agility, endurance, strength and with .......... immortality" He purposely paused before saying the last word.

Arthur and his Knights were surprised, clearly what Merlin had warned them about is the truth.

" You spoke as if you don't have any other choices" Arthur said again trying hard not to back down.

"Yes, We don't" this time, it was Lucas who answered.
" We are from the little village of Bernert, a small settlement under your kingdom. the evil sorceress Morgana came to our Village three weeks ago, She performed a great sacrifice that released a pack of deadly coyotes into our Village. they couldn't be killed with Sword or any weapon. within days, the coyotes had decimated Bernert population. the coyotes killed livestocks, Humans. they killed Everything they met. this is when my mother devised a plan to save us all except Her"


"What was the plan" King Arthur Asked directing his Question to Lucas.

"My Mother was a witch, She performed a sacrifice also, this sacrifice make us stronger even more than the coyotes, but it came with a deadly price. the sacrifice killed our Mother." Lucas explained.

Arthur didn't say anything for some minutes, He wished Merlin was with Him so He could ask of his opinion.

Lancelot spoke next.

"Your mother was a witch" He asked Lucas, "Bernert is a settlement under Camelot and Magic is outlaw in this Kingdom. you have to die"

Lucas looked at Lancelot for some minutes with a evil smile

"No sir Lancelot, you haven't been paying attention" He said, "We Cannot be killed"


*PRESENT DAY*

"hmm nice story" Ann commented feeling elated.

"Yes, but remember we couldn't move, so that means we couldn't escape" Lucas said facing Ann.

"So then, how did you escape?" Ann Asked.

"Well," Lucas said smiling, "we were saved by the evil sorceress Lady Morgana"

Fredrick walked into the room His Mother was in, Her wound have healed in the past three days but She knew Her days were not long on earth.

All Fredrick wanted for himself and his mother is to leave the town and never look back. He sat down beside his Mother, She was looking at a picture. Josh's.

"What is this mother?" Fredrick asked refering to the picture in Her hand.

"Joshua Francis" Elena answered, "The Lone wolf"

"The Betrayer!" Fredrick added with hatred, "the traitor I killed and will rekill if given the chance"

Elena looked at her son's face, She knew she have to tell Him, She knew time is not on her side. She have to tell him everything.

"Fredrick" Elena called, "there are some things you must know, about your real Father and everything that happened between us"

Fredrick looked at His Mother, She looked like the Burden of the whole world rest on her shoulder. suddenly, she looked old to him

"Joshua Francis is your Father" Elena announced

PRESENT DAY

"Ah!" Ann exclaimed surprisely, "it was that bad?"

"Yes!" Lucas affirmed, "King Arthur had to declare a curfew. we were hunted for days and with the Help of his loyal Wizard Merlin, we were almost caught"

Ann Looked at Lucas for Sometimes, She have this question biting into Her, She wished more than anything to ask but She don't want to offend Lucas.

"You have a question for me?" Lucas asked like He was reading Her mind.

"eh.... yes" Ann answered unsure. She Looked at Lucas for sometimes like she was asking for reassurance to ask the question. The Look on Lucas face encouraged Her and She felt braver.

"Camelot" She started with hasitation, "I thought the Land is just some kind of folklore"
"I mean, every evidences proved that Merlin and Arthur didn't exist, that Camelot wasn't real"

Lucas smiled, He know this himself. He had watch for thousands of years how the land He grew up in became a myth. How the greatest king that ever lived become a Legend. How the greatest Wizard become a tale.

He knew that in the generation after Queen Guinevere ascended the throne after King Arthur's death, during the iron age, before the first hot balloon flew, before Guns replaced swords, before the first Airplane was built, and before Scientist made significant discoveries. Camelot was lost forever.

Camelot became England, the Land of Albion that unites all the five Kingdoms then become known as Great Britain. the Five Kingdoms were renamed Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland.

He was there in 925AD when The Kingdom of England was created. established by the unification of tribes across modern day England.

He was also there in 1536 when the Kingdom of England and Wales was created by a bill enacted by KING HENRY VII which effectively made England and Wales the same country, governed by the same laws.
He was present in 1707 when the Kingdom of Great Britain was created. The Kingdom of England which includes Wales, joined with the Kingdom of Scotland to form The Kingdom of Great Britain.
also in 1801 when the United Kingdom of Great Britain merged with Ireland, He was aware. He knew when the name was changed to Northern Ireland.
In 1922 when The Republic of Ireland (Eire, or ‘Southern Ireland’) withdraws from the union, leaving just the northern counties of Ireland, He was there. and this is the UK that remains to this day.

He decided to explain to Her the best way He could.

"What You must know is that, Albion was the general name use by the Five Kingdoms together to refer to the land as a whole. Camelot was the biggest Kingdom among the five" Lucas paused, He wish she would understand this story.

"after Queen Guinevere's death, the Kingdom names changed, another Kingdom lost their king and was plunged into war, the King after Queen Guinevere interfered and got the Kingdom to be under Camelot which was now known as England." Lucas paused for some seconds again before she continued.

"Note that, not only Has Camelot changed its name to England at this time, the other Kingdoms had also done the same, which are Ireland, Wales, Scotland"

Lucas explained everything He could remember about His Homeland to Ann. while She listened on with rapt attention. and at the end of the story, She sighed deeply.

But Scientists have not find anything to suggest that this lands truly existed" Ann Argued.

Lucas smiled, He looked into the Ocean for sometime before facing Ann.

"Atlantis was real also, but yet no evidence of it existence has been found" Lucas said

"Yes, and that is because Atlantis was covered in water. the evidence cannot be found." Ann Argued yet again.

"Wasn't the Titanic covered in water?" Lucas asked smiling, "wasn't it found?"

Ann Kept quiet.

"There are so Many things that pass the understanding of the ordinary Humans. and this ignorance is because of their pretence toward Magic" Lucas said and face the ocean again.

"Humans don't want to believe that Magic exists. they don't want to believe that Supernatural beings exists. they will never find evidence about Camelot existence. they will never find the remains of King Arthur and his wizard Merlin. they will never know where the castle was built" Lucas said still looking at the Ocean.

Ann was looking at Lucas face all this time, She could see the passion on his face for his Homeland. there was total silence between them.

the silence persisted for some minutes, each of them with their own thoughts. Lucas was thinking about all the Nice time He had in Camelot with his siblings. the running around with the kids, the water, spring and summer.

Ann was reflecting on everything Lucas told her. it was all hard to believe. but it makes Sense.

She is a witch, she has magical powers. yet Humans pretends that Magic don't exist. Camelot is associated with Magic. to find out about Magical Lands, you must first believe in the Magic. if they don't believe in Magic, they will never believe that Camelot existed. Suddenly She remember something.

"You said that with the help of Merlin, King Arthur almost catch you, How?" Ann asked.

Lucas gave a short laugh. the past is the best story an Arthur can write about. it is also the best movie a producer can produce. He thought.

"The Problem with King Arthur was that, He hated Magic so much and it beclouded His sense of reasoning and Judgements. Merlin warned Him that the creatures killing the people of Camelot could be a creature of Magic and with that, He would need Magic to defeat it" Lucas began.

Three Days Later.

Ann and Lucas were in a public garden called "Ocean views Gradens". It is a new garden which faces the Atlantic Ocean, thereby giving the people (mostly couples) who visit the place a good view of the ocean. It is a government owned Garden so it face no prohibition.

The noise from the traffic in the nearby highway was tantalising with the view of the Ocean, it gives the people in the garden a kind of rhythm that is pleasing to them.

Ann and Lucas sat on a comfy couch at the edge of a rail that face the ocean directly, the vast ocean opened before them. it was like sitting on a big boat and overlooking the vast water.

"I've never been to this garden all my life" Ann said after sipping Her wine.

"ah!" Lucas exclaimed smiling, "I've been here a couple of times but only to brood on issues bothering my mind"

"I don't understand" Ann said looking at his face.

"you see, facing the ocean, looking at it vastness and looking high into its horizon clears my mind. it always give me bright idea" Lucas explained still looking at the Ocean. Ann maintained her gaze on his face.

"How does it feels?" She asked in a low voice that is Very difficult to hear at the first time. Lucas looked at Her confused.

"How does it feels being a vampire" She asked again. Lucas was surprised, He look deep into Ann's face with his Mouth agape. He could hear Her heartbeats very clearly. He smiled.

"It feels Horrible" Lucas began, "and amazing"

the Expression on his face was unreadable, it holds many untold secrets, many things that cannot be understood even if explained by the best teacher in the world.

"the craving for blood is what most vampires hate, although we have vampires who like to use their vampirism for their own personal gain using the bloodlust" Lucas said trying to explain his point.

"the blood thirst is unbearable, insatiable and unquenchable, I was a total mess" Lucas said and then look into the ocean again. He felt his soul leave him and plunge into the water, swimming so fast back in time, to one thousand, fifty six years back. then in the time of King Arthur, the Master of Merlin, 759AD.

*FLASH BACK*

December 28, 759AD


Lucas stood in the middle of the forest, His mouth covered with blood, His Fangs, long and shining. He was surrounded by nothing less than 25 dead Bodies. all of them drained of their Blood. snow was falling at it highest, and the ground was covered with it and the red stain from Lucas victim's blood stood enormously on it.

"Lancelot! Here!" He heard a voice shouted some distance back, "the dogs are going towards east"

Lucas froze, His legs and hands were numb, He knew that voice. it belongs to Gawaine, one of the Knights of King Arthur round table. the name he called, Lancelot was another member of the round table.

surely, that means his savagery have not gone unnoticed, the Knights of Camelot are out, looking for him. or the beast they thought He was.

He could hear their steps getting closer, with their touches, and no doubt, their sword drawn. He could hear their dogs barking at the top of their voices. then he did the best thing He could think of, He Ran.

He was still running when He got to a steep valley, He saw a red patch on the ground in front of Him, He looked back. He saw no sign of the Knights who were chasing Him.

He moved carefully toward the red patch, that is when He noticed it. a pile of Bodies all drained of their Bloods. He was sure he isn't the one that killed the set of people. they were numbered up to 50. and as at that time, they were only four Vampires in the world. His father, Him, and his siblings.


"Hello Brother" Mariam called out, Coming out of the woods with blood covering her mouth. She was licking Her fingers with a look of satisfaction.

"You kill all these People?" Lucas asked surprisely.

"I couldn't control myself, I couldn't hold back" Mariam said. She looked at the Bodies like they were some kind of dirt. She felt no remorse.

(PRESENT DAY)

"Woah" Kolin exclaimed, "Unbelievable"

"Josh and Elena have a lot of secrets. I don't even know maybe Fredrick and Sylvester know who their Father was" Lucas said smiling.

"I Can't believe this" Kolin said, He stood up from His seat and begin to pace.

"at first, I also don't. but then, Josh had no reason to lie" Lucas said also standing.

"So are you telling me that Fredrick killed His Father?" Kolin asked although He already knew the answer.

Lucas didn't answer immediately, He just look into Kolin face before speaking.

"Josh is the one who told me how to kill Elena"

Kolin didn't say anything, He say down immediately, obviously lost in thought.

"Woooow" someone exclaimed from behind them, "that is a nice story".

both Lucas and Kolin looked behind them at the same time to see a Lady walking toward them from a bedroom.

the Lady is fair in complexion with a baby face. she has a small mouth and cute eyes. Her nose was pointed in an awkward way like an European. She was tall and slender. straight from head to toe.

"Ann" Lucas called facing the Lady, "How is my sister"

"my spell have removed the wolf venom in Her, she should be okay by tomorrow"

"I am grateful, how can I repay you" Lucas said smiling

"You know the only way to repay me is to take me to silverbird galleria" She said and walked to the door that lead outside.

"see you tomorrow Lucas" She said further and within moments, she was gone.

"You haven't tell me where you saw this witch" Kolin said frowning, "I can't entrust my sister life to a total stranger"

"She is my friend and She is trustworthy" Lucas said while Kolin snort.

"We met at the silverbird galleria"

Lucas could remember the day He met Ann at the silverbird galleria vividly.

Lucas walked into the silverbird galleria enjoying the view, the place was as busy as ever, He was looking at the varieties on display. suddenly, He saw a Lady He guessed to be in Her mid twenties, fair in complexion with Baby-face and angelic voice, He smile and walk up to Her.

"Hello Beauty, It is not everyday I walk up to an angel" Lucas said trying to charm the Lady.

"Oh, is that right?" the Lady Asked blushing, "Well, it is not everyday a demon walk up to me"

Lucas smile, this Lady is going to be a Pain in the butt.

"What is the name?" Lucas asked smiling.

"the name is Ann, and Yours?"

"Lucas" He answered still smiling.

"It is nice meeting you Lucas" Ann said after they exchanged a brief handshake.

"I gotta go" and without another word, She left his presence.


*PRESENT*

Kolin laughed for some minutes after hearing Lucas tale, it is childish to him.

"But wait, how did you know she is a witch" Kolin asked looking puzzle.

Lucas smiled, the confusion on Kolin's face amused him the more.

"She told me after I told Her what I am" Lucas said still smiling.

Kolin looked like He wanted to ask more questions but He hasitated, He sigh and then the television.

Fredrick watch over His Mother, the bite on Her neck was healing but he was sad, their plans had fail woefully.
Lucas and the rest of the First Bloods (with the exception of Micheal) are alive. He hate himself for failing, He should have killed Lucas when He had the chance. who knows maybe the chance Will ever presented itself again. He doubt.

Elena coughed, She opened Her eyes and smile weakly after seeing Fredrick. She looked around Her. the room is a Single room, although Big enough. it has a single bed Which She occupied, a wardrobe at the side near the door. a sofa Which Fredrick was sitting on and some bags popularly known as "Ghana must go" which She was sure contain clothes.

A bright bulb illuminated the room and the ceiling fan regulating the air in the room. everything was quiet.

"Where are we?" She Asked in a low tone.

"A friend's place. she is out of town and I am sure she won't mind" Fred answered. He look searchingly at her mother for a sign of pain but He found none.

"She?" Elena Asked with suspicious, "What is Her name?"

Fred laughed for a long time all the while looking at His Mother eyes and shaking His head.

"Mum, it is not What you are thinking, She is just a friend" Fredrick said still laughing.

"that is not the answer to my question" Elena protested amidst scowl.

"What is Her name?"

"Okay Mum, " Fredrick exclaimed putting up His hand up as a sign of surrender.

"Her name is Ann" He said smiling.

"I had Gordon watch Elena, He gave me every informations I needed, although He was working for them" Lucas said.

It was two days after the deadly Battle, both Lucas and Kolin sat at their living room watching a live football match and at the same time talking about the fight, the topic had been avoided until now, when the need arises for Kolin to understand everything. Mariam is in Coma.

"So How did Josh fitted into all these, He was a werewolf, even if He was a lone wolf but still He was a werewolf" Kolin asked really confused.

"How did you get him to betray his kind"

"it is a long story after all" Lucas said smiling.


*FLASH BACK*

Lucas entered straight into the House, the interior of the house was dirty and unkempt, spider webs adorned every corner, there was no furniture in the house except an Old sofa, occupied by a skinny Man who look like He was in his late fifties.

"Good evening Josh" Lucas greeted the skinny Man.
the man laughed for sometime before answering.

"Where Did you learn courtesy Lucas" Josh asked still laughing.

Lucas didn't answer, He just continue smiling.

" This isn't the Lucas I knew, you have totally changed" Josh continued.

"People changes and I am no exception" Lucas replied.

"Yes people changes" Josh affirmed nodding his hear, then He face Lucas once again.
"what do you want Here, Lucas?" He asked.

"I need your Help" Lucas said, laying emphasis on the Help.

"YOU SEE!" Josh exclaimed laughing aloud, "You can't change Lucas, you only look for old friends when you need help"

"This is not a joke Josh" Lucas said half annoyed.

"tell me what you want" Josh said now serious.

"I want you to tell me how to kill a true Alpha" Lucas said.

what follows was a loud silence, Lucas could hear his heartbeat with that of Josh, whatever Josh was thinking, Lucas couldn't tell. but HE could see him frown his face in concentration.

Moment later, Josh sigh.

"You want to kill Elena?" Josh asked, although it is not really a question.

"How do you know?" Lucas asked back.

"Because, there is only one true alpha in the whole world right now and that is Elena" Josh answered with a frown.

Lucas didn't say anything, He just kept quiet, but something about Josh body language assured him that Josh would help him.

"I want Elena dead also" Josh broke the silence again.

Lucas shifted in surprise but Josh ignored him and continue talking.

"You see, I am not just a lone wolf Lucas. I was sent from my pack" Josh said.

"You were in a pack?" Lucas asked astounded.

"yeah, and if you want to kill my alpha" Josh revealed again while Lucas gasped.

"Do you mean.........?" Lucas started

"Yes, Elena was my Alpha" Josh interrupted Him.

Lucas moved nearer to Josh, His mouth agape, He couldn't believe his ear. He touched him at the shoulder making Josh to face Him.

"She was your Alpha" Lucas asked, to be sure He heard Him correctly.

"Yes and there is more" Josh answered.

"What is more?" Lucas asked again.

"She stole two things from me after She sent me from the pack" Josh said.

"there is a piece of crystal we call the Bluemoon, it holds unspeakable power and it has been in the werewolf clan for a long time, Nobody knows what it does" Josh explained.

"She stole it from You?" Lucas asked.

"I got it from my Father when I first turn, since then I have been experimenting on what it does and I was so close to finding out before She took it from Me"


"I still don't understand why you are telling Me all these" Lucas said getting a little irritated.

"Because you need to understand the reason for the action I want to take" Josh said quietly.

Lucas look at him for some time, He was angry with Him But decided to keep quiet.

"After She sent me From the pack and took the Bluemoon from Me, she sent Me away, but She did something I will never forget and forgive, She took my Sons with Her" Josh paused and took a sharp breath.

"Your Sons?" Lucas asked confused.

"Yes" Josh replied, "Fredrick and Sylvester are my Sons"

Chapter 22



Kolin stood up with Vampire speed, catching his father offguard, He kicked him at the face, making him fall and Michael lost his grip on the sword, it fell right at Kolin's feet and He wasted no time picking it up with a wicked smile on his face.

"I am not proud to say this but this is where we end everything Father" Kolin said swinging the sword violently in his hand and showing no sign of pity in his eyes.

"You will kill your own Father? the man who produced you from his loin?" Micheal asked feigning Surprise.

"You were going to kill me if I don't kill you first Father" Kolin answered with remorseless voice

"it is just a game of who is stronger, faster, smarter and load of other things and I beat you in all."


"I will come back" Michael said suddenly smiling, "and you will regret ever killing me"


with a note of anger, Kolin cut off his Father's head, His body was down before his head. and when the head finally landed, it's mouth opened and with a baritone voice that doesn't sound like Micheal's , it said "I will come back Kolin, remember my last"

And suddenly, it winks and lay motionless.

"remember my last?" Kolin mutter, "what does that mean?"

And at that moment, He heard Elena's scream as Lucas bit her, He smiled.

and immediately, Micheal's threat and last word evaporated from his mind. He forgot His Last.

Mariam walked majestically toward Fredrick, smiling and feeling triumphant. She held him again, punched him five times on the face until He begin to bleed profusely, Mariam smile.

"I am the most merciful of the First Bloods, let me grant you a quick and less painful death" Mariam said, an evil expression on his Face. Fredrick shook His head.

"You can't kill me, Mariam" Fredrick said with pain, blood dripping from his mouth. The expression on Mariam face changed to a confuse one.

"if you kill me, You will also die" Fredrick said further, He is now smiling with his blood laden face.

Mariam became more confused, she didn't understand what Fred meant. She became disoriented.

Fredrick on the other hand, seeing that Mariam is disoriented which was his initial plan, He wasted no time in holding Mariam hands, drew her closer to him, He stood up within three seconds and bit Mariam at Her neck, which make Mariam to scream coincidentally at the same time with Elena.

Lucas released Elena, She was in pain, She could feel her strength leaving Her body rapidly, She have never felt so powerless. so empty.

"I drank a lot of water laced with Wolfsbane and mistletoe, both will weaken your system and you'll die within few days" Lucas said with Victory in his voice, His aura was smelling of triumph.


Fredrick ran to his mother who was on the ground in pain, He was crying like a baby, trying to comfort his mother, to ease her pain.

"Mother! Mother!, you are going to be okay aren't you?" Fredrick asked amidst tears. His Mother didn't talk, Her Energy was sapping away rapidly. Fredrick looked up to see Lucas smiling at them triumphantly.


"I swear Lucas, if anything happens to my Mother, I will kill you" Fredrick threatened, Lucas smile widen.

"You can try, Fred, but let me tell you, for thousands of years, so many people threatened me but sadly, none of them lives to tell the tale" Lucas said and smile again, "Your Mother is testimony to that"

"LUCAS!" Kolin called from behind, and when Lucas turned back to look at him, He saw his brother holding his sister. Lucas ran to him.

"What happened?" Lucas asked immediately He got to him.

"She was bitten" Kolin said with shaky voice.
"and Josh is dead" He added after some seconds.
and at that time, Lucas turned to look at Fredrick, He was gone. with the Body of His Mother.

"Fred bit Her" Lucas said with regret in His voice, "I should have killed that bastard When I had the chance"

"Don't worry Lucas, the chance Will presented itself again one day" Kolin assured.

"Yes and I won't hold Back" Lucas pledge, look Into space, He imagined what it will look like, killing the last line of Elena.

Together, they carried Mariam, She was weak and she needed treatment, they began to walk away as the only survivors of a deadly Battle between the two most powerful species in the world.

The house and all the dead bodies and properties in it was razing in fire behind them.
Indeed, it has been a gruesome afternoon, just like Micheal predicted before his death.

CHAPTER 22

Mariam walked towards Frederick and Held him by his clothes, She threw him toward Josh who caught him midair. Josh held him in a way that makes it possible for Mariam to dealt him a lot of Blow and Mariam was ready to turn him into a Punching bag, but she wasn't ready for what followed.

As Mariam get nearer to Him in a bid to lunch him, Fred gave her a hard kick that knocked the air out if Her, Then He wringle free from Josh, thereby giving the latter a punch in the face. Mariam ran towards Him with vampire speed, but Fred was ready, He caught her by the neck and threw her to a pole.

from the corner of his sharp eyes, Frederick saw Josh standing ready to attack Him, But He was faster, He held Josh by the collar of His clothe and threw Him to the same pole he threw Mariam. He ran to him and in a nanosecond with a swift movement of his hand, he ripped Josh heart out from His chest. the heart was still pumping blood in his hand.

He smiled, one down, one to go.

Then Slowly and with determination, He walked towards Mariam with bloody fury.

"stand up on your feet, Mariam" He said standing tall over Her making Mariam look upward to see his face

"Your partner in crime is dead leaving the two of us" He said to her.

slowly, Mariam stood up, She dusted her body and look into Fred's dark eyes.

"very well, Mr Frederick, time to end this little nonsense" and with speed that surprises Fred, She sent two powerful lunch into his face making him bleed from the nose instantly. In a Moment of weakness of Fred, Mariam seized the opportunity to throw Fredrick some meter away from herself. a dreadful laughter escaped her mouth as Fredrick on his back with a thunderous thud. Mariam could swear she heard a bone crack from Fredrick.


"I am a First Blood, Mr Fredrick," Mariam said to him in a way that reprimand him for his lack of respect. She then ran towards him and held him by the the collar high above Her.

"I am one of the most gruesome and powerful beast that ever roamed this planet, You should have known you can't kill me"

she fling him to the wall again and this time, she ran after Him with vampire speed and got to where he was supposed to land before He did, and When He did land, a rain of punches was showered on him by Mariam with kicks.

in a few minutes, Fredrick was laying in his own pool of blood, weakened but not dead.

She ran towards Him with a great speed, She slashed at his face, He bent and punch her stomach but she felt nothing. instead, She kicked him at the face, He staggered a little and then get hold of himself.
She jumped and slashed at him again, the claws caught his shoulder leaving a deep mark at the place. He became weak.

She kicked at him again, this time she was faster, He was slower, the kick hit him squarely on the chest and He staggered again, then another kick at the groin made him fall with a loud thud. the great Lucas has fallen.

Elena laughed out loud, she moved toward Him while He was still sprawling on the ground.

"Time to say your last prayers, Mr First Blood Hybrid Lucas" Elena said taunting him, Her eyeballs were blood red, her fangs all out to devour Lucas Body, She move nearer with three steps apart.

"I should have known it is this easy to kill you" Elena said further. Her grins was wide, she enjoy taunting him.

She raised her hands to slash him with her claws and suddenly with Vampire speed, Lucas stood up and held her hand high.

"it takes more than a single claw wound to take me down Mrs Alpha" Lucas said smiling.

"and as you clearly know, a hybrid venom diluted with mistletoe and wolfsbane is toxic to a true alpha, especially if it is also laced with vampire venom" and without another word, Lucas bit Elena hard and vigorously. Elena shouted in pain at the top of her voice. A scream that would give a banshee a run for Her talent.

I will continue posting this story and I promise you, I won't stop till I am done.

it has been three years since I last post this story.

I just want to say, I didn't finish writing this story cos while writing this story, I gained admission and I left everything I was doing to pursue my education.

this story is supposed to have five parts. I have finish writing the first two parts while the third part is almost done before I gain admission. although I have not finished posting the first part here.

I will continue posting this story if you all will allow me while I continue writing the third part.

I hope you all following the story forgive me for my long absence.
