Family › How To Inspire Manners In Your Children.* by skinnyebans(op): 6:11pm On Aug 24, 2019 |
*HOW TO INSPIRE MANNERS IN YOUR CHILDREN.*
1. When entering the house greet your children or even hug them. This should help develop their sense of love and self worth.
2. Be good to your neighbours and never backbite. Never speak ill of other drivers when on the road. Your children would listen, absorb and emulate.
3. When calling your parents, encourage your children to speak to them. When visiting your parents take your children with you. The more they see you take care of your parents the more they will learn to take care of you.
4. When driving them to school, don't always play albums or cds in the car. Rather, tell them some motivational stories yourself. This will have a greater impact - trust me!
5. Read to them a short story and even a scripture a day – it doesn't take much time, but very good in creating strong bonds and wonderful memories.
6. Comb your hair, clean your teeth and wear presentable clothes even if sitting at home and not going out for the day. They need to learn that being clean and tidy has nothing to do with going out!
7. Try not to blame or comment on every word or action they say or do. Learn to overlook and let go sometimes. This certainly builds their self confidence.
8. Ask your children's permission before entering their rooms. Don't just knock and enter, but then wait for a verbal permission. They will learn to do the same when wanting to enter your room.
9. Apologize to your children if you made a mistake. Apologizing teaches them to be humble and polite.
10. Don't be sarcastic or make fun of their views or feelings, even if you "didn't mean it" and was "only joking". It really hurts.
11. Show respect to your children's privacy. Its important for their sense of value and self-esteem.
12. Don't expect that they will listen or understand the first time. Don't take it personal. But be patient and consistent.
13. Pray with them. Show them how to pray. Lead by example.
14. In addition, ask them to discuss their daily plans after the morning prayers. Children without concrete daily plans usually join others in executing theirs. They fall easy to peer pressure.
15. Hold them and bless them specially every morning.
May God bless you. |

Crime › Drama At Nigeria Customs Service As Junior Officer Moves To Take The Rank Of CGC by skinnyebans(op): 12:13pm On Jul 09, 2019 |
Eromosele Abiodun There was commotion at the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) headquarters in Abuja yesterday as a low rank officer, Nura Dalhatu from Katsina State, promoted himself to the rank of ‘Customs Comptroller General (CGC)’ and visited the Comptroller General of Customs, Col Hameed Ali (rtd.) in his office to take over as the new CGC. Dalhatu, who is an Assistant Superintendent of Custom 1, was said to have informed Ali that he was directed by President Muhammadu Buhari to take over from him as the new CGC. The National Public Relations Officer of NCS, Joseph Attah, who confirmed the development, said Dalhatu came to the office wearing the rank of Deputy Comptroller General. According to him, “What happened was that the Assistant Superintendent of Custom Deputy Comptroller General, Dalhatu, from questions and answers that followed, was obviously not in the right frame of mind. So a doctor was immediately invited to examine him. He is presently undergoing medical examination at the medical unit of the service.” Meanwhile, the NCS has approved the unbundling of some existing Area Command and the creation of eight new commands. According to a circular signed by the Deputy Comptroller General of Customs (DCG) in charge of Finance, Administration and Technical Services (FATS), Aminu Dangaladima, the approval for the unbundling and creation of the eight Area Commands was granted at the 50th Regular Meeting of the NCS board held on May 21, 2019. The Area Commands created included the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Area Command from the Murtala Muhammed Airport Command with headquarters at the MMIA; the Ogun II Area Command from Ogun Area Command with headquarters at Abeokuta; North Eastern Marine Command from Eastern Marine Command with headquarters at Makurdi and Kaduna Area Command from Kaduna/Kastsina Area Command with headquarters at Kaduna.
Others are Kebbi Area Command from Sokoto/Kebbi/Zamfara Area Command with headquarters at Birnin- Kebbi; Kwara Area Command from Niger/Kwara/Kogi Area Command with headquarters at Ilorin; North Western Marine Command from Western Marine Command with headquarters at Lokoja and Port Harcourt Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Area Command from Port Harcourt 1 Area Command with headquarters at Onne.
In a related development, the NCS has approved the elevation of the Service Command and Staff College to Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) to be headed by a Deputy Comptroller General of Customs. A circular signed by DCG Dangaladima on behalf of the Comptroller General of Customs, Hameed Ali, said the elevation, approved by the NCS board at its 50th regular meeting held on May 21, 2019, was part of the re-organisation of the Service in line with the present management’s agenda. He stated that the action was to pave way for the college to measure up with the responsibility of developing curriculum, conducting training, ensuring synergy and conducting oversight roles in one place. “Nigeria Customs Service TRADOC will also conceptualise training curriculum, allocation of particular levels of training to various NCS colleges, and oversees the actual conduct of training,” Dangaladima said.

nwanneni: My dad was very loving, strict about us(my immediate older sis and i) going out of the house so he bought us all the video games one could possibly have on earth.(ending man,Sega mega drive,Sega dreamcast, super Nintendo,Nintendo 64,Nintendo GameCube,ps1,ps2 and psp for my sister.dude use to play with us sef and use to beat us at soccer everytime ) I love my sisters men He took us to school every morning and use to pick us up after school until my sis finished primary school and left for boarding school.lol I started going back home alone. When my sister was 9,a huge guy tried to toast her and she came back home and reported.my dad put on a short,a white tee shirt and carried a machete to the guys house. God saved that idiot that day as he wasn't home, knowing how temperamental my dad can be. I remember when I got dismissed from boarding school in my first year... He was wearing a light yellow t shirt, some light blue denim, well tucked in and some red sandals with black soles. They invited me from class to come to admin and when I saw him,I was so happy I wanted to go rush and hug him but I saw disgust all over his face.i wondered what happened till I got in and was given the bad news. We went home and he sat me down, asked me wtf was going on and all.we had a little scuffle, settled the next morning and he used his influence to get me into another school where I later graduated! I had the best childhood courtesy my dad.mum was a serious business woman who didn't have much time to be around.so I got closer to my mom when dad left and she was overthrown in her business by my greedy older brother(very greedy boy!!!)tueh!! I still remember the day my dad left all of us for another woman. We were outside in the compound discussing one evening and all of a sudden he went inside, carried a tennis bag with some few clothes in it,handed me around 2k like he always does when he was travelling(dude was a traveller ) and tarnished into the night. I thought oh well,na so e dey always do na not knowing that would be the last time we would ever live in the same house even though that day's own was very awkward of him because someone would either go drop him off or his best friend then would come to the house and take him to the airport. He left us!with all the love I had for him I kept spending my little money(which I stole from mama of course, cos I was so young at the time) to call him almost everyday. He kept promising he will come till I later gave up hope and he never did. Didn't know dude was busy forming another family somewhere and had up to 4 kids!!!!fùck I was mad!!!!started hating his ass and the woman he even left my mogul mom for is one fùcking broke, wretched, ugly lowlife!! One that later bankrupted him and made him penniless He is now very broke, old, disgusting looking and all...upon say my dad na FINE man. If you know me personally, you can imagine what my dad will be like very cute that my mom fell helplessly in love with at the time! Well fùck you dad!!!and oh,I MADE IT!!!! Spits! Very funny... Glad u made it |
