When an entity is filled of moderators who are hateful and bias, that is what you get. Does it ever make sense to compare those two things in an honest survey?
What they failed to understand is that by doing this, they have shown that the data from all their surveys are unreliable. All the effort in collecting these data wasted because of hate.

Though I don't support a culture of making tippings look compulsory or be like a constitutional rights that you must give for services provided,but I think it is appropriate to "appreciate" some lowly paid workers in some corporate environments VOLUNTARILY for services rendered to you.
I went to a supermarket for my weekend stuff last week,I picked a basket and was going round to pick stuff.One of the staff there,a young lady, just walked up to me and said, Sir,let me help you with the basket.
She carried the basket and followed me around the supermarket till I finished picking what I wanted and she took it to the counter.
I finished paying,she greeted me bye without asking for anything.
I was the one,out of appreciation ,who called her and voluntarily gifted her something.Cos to me,she deserves it.

So my point is that,as from today that I am hearing this news, nobody should make corporate begging a Nigerian thing again.
If any staff in an airport, supermarket, restaurant,etc ask you for a tip,if you want to give, give and if you don't want to,pass and go your way.They won't beat you.
Stop shouting in every news media that people beg you for tips only in Nigeria that you can't see such a thing in America or Europe when you haven't left the shores of Nigeria before.
This message is only for those that always make this unfounded comparison.

Sir, your point is clear but some of it are generalized. In the US, no government employee whether it’s the airport worker or the police will ask you for tips. It could even lead to job termination. If you offer, believe me, you are setting yourself up for an arrest.
Tips are mostly offered at privately owned businesses, especially in service oriented businesses. Not even in trading stores like supermarkets or grocery stores. It is unimaginable to hear anything about tips in places like Costco, Walmart, HEB , CVS or BJs. At these places mentioned, you would be surprised that even if you give out of good will, the employee will decline. That is the difference with what they do in Nigeria.

Nobody forced anyone to give tips. It is always given out of courtesy.
See, if you like you tips and if you like , you ignore them. No one will even dare say a word.
The good part is, tipping is after after the service has been provided. So it’s not as if they can decide to change the quality of an already provided service.

On the employers part, let me reveal one open-secret of a capitalist system. Their operational budget including that for salary is usually earmarked just within that allowable by law and market factors. No charities, no emotion. If they have a way to not even pay at all, they will take it.
They do that which the law allows them to do and are compelled to do more based on market factors. For instance the availability of waiters would determine how much employers are willing to cough out.
There is a reason it is called Free Market Economy. You can take your waiting skills elsewhere, where they are willing to pay what you demand, if it’s sustainable for the business.

This is the best advice here. Chores are very important in the development of a child. It gives them the confidence that they are able to start and finish a task. Also, chores make them feel accomplished after they see the result, like in cleaning dishes, making bed, or vacuuming floor. These are accomplishment.
Another reason to let them do things is that they will learn not to kick cans down the room hoping that somehow , someone else will pick the can. In other words, chores give a sense of responsibility.
All these are transferable skills related to academic learning . For children to be in right mind to learn, they must have confidence, be responsible, show commitment to accomplish the best, and be ready to for the rigor of learning.

I really dislike the way these BBC folks like to sensationalize their stories. It has really become some sort of culture at their organization. The last lady that spoke in the video (as restated in the write-up), suggested that minimum wage for some servers is as low as $2 per hour, which is correct on the surface but not the entire story. The missing piece here is that employees within that wage band are entitled to the difference between legislated minimum wage and that $2 per hour from their employer, in the event that any extra tips earned (plus the $2/hr wage) does not result in total earnings that match or exceed the legislated minimum wage. Talk of being economical with the truth or selective journalism, smh.
