Legba1, without knowing the specific details it is hard to give you tailored advice. However, you may want to start with yourself. Is it something that you are doing or not doing ? Do you need to pull your weight more at work? If you critically assess yourself and then conclude that the fault does not lie with you, you may want to look into how to effectively manage your manager. Follow the link below to the article "How to manage your boss effectively." Good luck. http://www.jobsite.co.uk/insider/managing-your-boss-5171/ |
Greetings, in the grand scheme of things, would a man divorce his wife simply because she has not taken his last name? Forgive me for being myopic, but I don't think so. Furthermore, I do not think that taking a man's surname is a prerequisite for a successful marriage. |
@ Aloy Emeka, I'm a realist. In life we don't know what tomorrow will bring and I apply the same principle to everything I do. I'm not saying I want to get divorced or I wish for for it but I am not living and refuse to live in a fairy tale world where I expect the rest of my life to be a happily ever after. Despite problems I've faced in my marriage, I can still proudly say that I've got 8+ years under my belt.Plsm23, easy does it. Some people do have a habit of rubbing one up the wrong way on this forum. I encountered a rather uncouth brother earlier on today myself. Have a great day. |
My mum count the meat in the pot especially the day she cook a new delicious soup but those days i usually went back in the kitchen and cut the meat into two so that she won't discover that i took it, CoolWhat a classic! Laughing in real life. |
Greetings, taking money from your spouse without his consent and knowledge is indeed stealing. Some may argue no. I wonder whether these same people would say it is not possible for a wife to be violated by her husband in a marriage. Just my personal thought. No more, no less. |
Divide that by ten and you will get the real number of users.Hi Ma J Blige, great angle. Laughing in real life ! |
The yoruba type of Islam is the fake Islam cos they are not crazy enough to be killing xtains. Islam is a barbaric religion, so whoever practices it must be barbaric in nature, which we can see among those living in jos and other northen states. Hence, i regard them as the true muslim.Hallo Daroz, it is a shame that you feel this way. Islam is a religion of peace. Those who commit atrocities in the name of Islam are criminals. True Muslims are peace loving people who respect humanity. |
guy, u need to start using your brain.Hallo, I just thought to remind you that it doesn't cost you anything to be civil and polite on public forums like this. Everyone may not share your view, but that does not give you the audacity to be downright rude. ![]() |
Hi Akinsquare, I am not sure what you want information on the financial might of Narialand founder for. Nevertheless, the fact that the forum has 650,000+ signed up members speaks volumes |
ASL33, I know for a fact that Islam as practiced in southern Nigeria is infused with culture and tradition. For instance, when a believer passes on, Yoruba Muslims tend to have an 8-day and 40-day prayer for the deceased. There is, however, no basis for this in Islam, as mourning should cease after the third day. Prolonged mourning is only allowed for widows. I am not au fait with the practice of islam in the North. Maybe someone else will care to enlighten us on that front ![]() |
Greetings, the video wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Earlier on today I was listening to a speech given by the Nigerian Minister of Women Affairs and, truth be told, I could not see the difference in the delivery of both speeches. It isn't about education because even lettered home-based Nigerians aren't so eloquent when they speak either. I don't think it's about the accent either. Afterall, Nelson Mandela speaks with a thick accent, but it is always a beauty to listen to him. Do they need elocution lessons? |
Greetings, personally, voting in an election is my civic responsibility. Consequently, money will play no part in my choice of candidate. But, the average Nigerian living from hand to mouth may have a different take on things. Who knows? |
Hi there, I read about this story when it was initially reported in the press here in the UK. I don't think he is 14, however, these stories have almost become10-a-penny in the UK. I feel that this whole saga has something to do with this boy's / man's immigration status. If he own's up to his real age he could be on the next plane back to Kenya. |
Hallo Unsuregirl, regardless of the situation, your husband was way out of order. There is no justification for domestic violence, so don't feel that you got what you deserved. I would suggest you pick a perfect moment to have a heart-to-heart with your husband to try and iron out your differences. The hardest part of most marriages is the early days after the wedding. Hopefully, you two will weather the storm and get your young marriage on to a solid footing. Good luck for the future |
Greetings, my view is this: to each his own. However, it will be silly to turn a blind eye to the ever present risk of HIV. You won't get rid of it, it will definately get rid of you :-( |
