EducationRe: Erasmus Mundus Master's Scholarship Applicants 2017/2018 by skyknight(m): 5:45pm On Jan 11, 2019
I have been following this thread since last year.. Today is the deadline for Glocal I applied for. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get my transcript from uniben on time because of ASUU strike undecided. I still look forward to IMSISS closing on Jan 25th. Transcript and Reference letters have now become trouble to secure. I pray they call it off on time.

No offence but i can learn this on my own through the Internet (Just Google It).
I learnt allvthese things you said in a roadside school. My instructor was a microbiology graduate and used comptia textbooks to instruct us. I am a graduate of religion myself. So sorry but Nigeria is a horrible place to be in the university

PoliticsA Message For The Nigerian Youths. by skyknight(op):
STOP THE ARGUMENTS! STAND UP AND TAKE ACTION.
There is hardly any youth in this illustrious country who can say he or she is a stranger to the Nigerian situation. I am not talking about our perennial economic problems, neither am I talking about the appalling health care system, nor am I outraged by the dismal educational system. We have witnessed all these from childhood across different governments and the story remains the same. It is 2017, and the issues we face as a country has grown increasingly from strength to strength despite our “best efforts” (with more emphasis on the quotes than the best efforts). All through these years, there has been no shortage of criticism, nor are we lacking in arguments as to which government did well and which did not. Scholars and researchers, politicians and economic experts, and ooh yes, even random citizens on social media all proffer wonderful solutions to the problem we still continue to experience. The outcome of all these have been simple, BLAME WHOEVER YOU CAN, AND TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY.
We have played the blame game for so long and we have left the arduous task of development to those who know little nothing about governance and the result? More carnage and more appropriation of blames to whatever party anyone deems blameable. Citizens blame the government, Government officials make sure to blame those directly above them, those at the very top blame previous administrations and then all unanimously (yeah this makes me laugh), all unanimously blame the erstwhile colonial masters. Seriously, colonial Masters? no no no, did I say this makes me laugh? Yeah it makes me laugh with sadness at our naivety and our cowardice and this, my Friends is what makes me outraged.
If you say the West is responsible for our continued struggles, then I can understand if the likes of France, Britain, and Germany are light years ahead of us. But we can’t be left light years behind by the likes of Singapore, India and Malaysia (all colonised and I’m not mentioning U.S, to avoid the popular length of independence argument) and expect us youths to accept that Nigeria’s struggles is from Neo-colonial manipulations, and even if it is what have we done to carve out a way forward.
The average Nigerian today is heavily concerned with individualistic benefits and short term solutions to any problem they face but the “elephant in the room” as it were is hardly or never addressed. It continuously stares at us in the face, looking on with polite disdain at our failure to realise a change for good. We continue to pour new wine into old wine skins and expect change, we form new political parties, new political aspirants arise, and we expect them all to wave their magic wands and all our problems go away. No, the problem runs deep. Ladies and gentlemen, our system is rotten, but wait, don’t we know that? Then what have done about it? Argue in our rooms, offices and beer parlours? The country needs re-structuring, and we need to take action.
My message therefore is to all youths, a clarion call to the young and the young at heart, those who are tired of seeing this nation remain stuck in a vicious circle where only a drastic revolution can bring about change for the future. We need to protest against the state of things in the country, particularly our system of government. We are doing this by creating awareness across all social media platforms. We are not going about it violently but instead the purpose will be to enlighten the teeming population of youths who have no clear understanding of the problems we face as a nation. Using nations like Singapore to buttress our arguments we can bring to light, the hidden truths which the political elite have concealed in order to lord it over the ignorant and more often than not, mis-educated masses. Our goals then will be driven towards these:
THE CURRENT SYSTEM OF FEDERALISM DOES NOT SUIT OUR CURRENT SOCIO- POLITICAL SITUATION, WE SHOULD STOP TALKING ABOUT RE-STRUSTRUCTURING AND START DEMANDING IT EN-MASSE WITH CON-FEDERALISM AS A MORE SUITABLE SYSTEM.
THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF POLITICAL POSTS SHOULD BE REDUCED. TRUST ME IF A PRESIDENT EARNS THE SAME AS A SCHOOL PRINCIPAL, PEOPLE WILL STOP MAKING POLITICS A DO OR DIE AFFAIR.
Do you think u can carry on with your one man crusade? Run away from the country at the slightest occasion? Well it will interest you to know that western nations are beginning to bring new policies to shut us from their countries….. to them we are parasites and they are telling us to go and develop our own countries. Well they are right and we need to spread this message. We will freely welcome anyone and everyone with enlightening ideas cum articles as we move forward with this crusade. Thanks for your patience.
