How often do you wear jeans before washing?: Nearly everybody has a feeling about how frequently you can wear jeans before hurling them into the clothes washer/washing them. Few people contend that wearing denim on multiple occasions is simply gross. Others wear some jeans upwards of multiple times before washing. An uncommon few, similar to Levi's Chief Executive Officer Chip Burgh, swear off washing out and out to safeguard the nature of their clothes to make it last longer. Why we must always Wash our Jeans Before Wear; here are Reasons. Considering your body sheds more than 30,000 cells every day, it’s pretty disturbing to think about what lurks beneath the surface. So, we decided to look into whether all that dead skin and bacteria buildup pose any health risks. But first, how often do you wear jeans before washing? Roughly 63 per cent of Men’s Health readers said their denim gets at least four uses before laundering, according to a Twitter poll. A surprising 37 per cent claimed they never wear jeans more than three times before washing. “One time is the only correct answer. Especially if you take any sort of public transportation, one Twitter user told us. Several people explained that frequent washings helped restore pant fit and shape. Overwhelmingly, most people wore jeans for a pretty long amount of time. In fact, 23 per cent admitted to wearing jeans at least 10 times before washing. OK, but is it a health risk to wear dirty jeans? Wearing dirty jeans more than 10 times before washing sounds pretty gross. However, your chances of developing bacterial infections is pretty low, says Dr Steve Xu, M.D. and instructor in the department of dermatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. “The skin is a pretty good barrier against infections,” he tells Men’s Health. Most healthy guys don’t need to worry if they avoid doing laundry. But there is the chance you may develop jock itch, or a fungal infection in your genital region, according to Dr Adrienne Haughton, M.D. and director of clinical and cosmetic dermatology at Stony Brook Medicine. “A lot of men will have athlete’s foot,” she explains to Men’s Health. If you don’t wear socks before putting on your underwear, the fungus can be transferred onto your groin area and move onto the jeans. The fungus will continue to grow in your pants go unwashed. “Just regular walking and moving around, the fungus is just going to keep growing,” she says. Guys with eczema, open wounds, or even just dry skin are more likely to develop a bacterial infection, she says. More commonly, oil in your pants could cause acne or folliculitis, she says. So, how often should I wash jeans? According to Haughton, there aren’t medical guidelines detailing how often clothes should be laundered, so it really is up to personal preference. Cleaning expert Jolie Kerr recommends washing after every five to 10 wears, according to Esquire. If you really want to maintain the longevity of denim, always turn clothes inside out and opt for handwashing. See more here http://skyppers.com/often-wear-jeans-washing/

Former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has advised Fulani herdsmen on the best location to practice RUGA. RUGA – Rural Grazing Area, an initiative of the Federal Government, aimed at setting up settlements for cattle rearers in different locations in Nigeria to help curb the incessant farmer-herders crisis. The initiative had since been suspended following the backlash it met. Most occupant of the southern part of Nigeria are against given up their lands for the programme, arguing cattle rearing was a private business and as such, the herders should acquire such spaces, rather than been handed to them. Chief Fani-Kayode was reacting to the controversial initiative once again after it emerged that the Governor of Kebbi state, Atiku Bagudu called it “an idea of British colonialists.” FFK advised in a Tuesday Twitter post that, since it was an idea from the colonial masters from Britain, RUGA should be taken to the European country. see tweet below; “Ruga is not Fulani but an idea of British colonialists” — Gov. This Explains that Heat or Fire turns the Sweetness, known as Fructose to *Acidity *. Not just Acidic, but Highly Acidic. Trace Any Disease, It Boils down to Acidity. The Senate Ad hoc committee which is investigating the alleged misconduct of Senator Elisha Abbo has said that the victim slapped by the lawmaker in a viral video did not honour its invitation. The Chairman of the panel, Senator Sam Egwu, who stated this at plenary on Wednesday, said all efforts to make both the assaulted lady and the shop owner appear before the committee did not succeed. The former Governor of Ebonyi State said the embattled Senator refused to make submissions before the ad hoc panel because he said doing so would be subjudice. He also said both the Commissioner of Police in charge of FCT and the lawyers to the victims also refused to make submissions, citing the same reasons. Egwu, therefore, requested that the matter be stepped down pending the determination of the criminal case instituted against Abbo by the police. The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, who presided over the plenary, disagreed with Egwu stressing that the panel could go ahead with its work notwithstanding the court case. Lawan said what the Senate was investigating was the alleged misconduct of its member and not the criminal case against him which is already being handled by the police. Egwu, therefore, sought the permission of the leadership for appointment one-week extension to enable him to submit the report. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has announced the ban on sale of Sniper and other brands of agricultural formulations of Dichlorvos following rampant suicide cases and misuse of the products. The Director-General of NAFDAC, Prof. Moji Adeyeye, said this in a statement on Wednesday. Adeyeye said from September 1, 2019, Sniper and other related products would not be sold in supermarkets and in the open markets. The NAFDAC boss said such products should only be used for outdoor purposes and not private homes. The statement read in part, “NAFDAC is giving a two-month (up to August 31, 2019) notice to brand owners/distributors to recall and withdraw their products from open markets and supermarkets that do not have garden corner/shelves to the agro dealer outlets. “The sale of Sniper insecticide and other Dichlorvos brands in open markets and supermarkets nationwide is prohibited with effect from September 1, 2019. NAFDAC is giving a six-month moratorium up to January 1, 2020 for brand owners to exhaust the products that are in various accredited agro-input dealers (distributors/marketers/retailers) outlets.” The agency ordered the mandatory listing of dealers, distributors, marketers and retailers of agrochemicals. All NAFDAC formations are expected to collect the list to ensure continual monitoring of all agro dealers in their states, the statement stated further. The agency said CropLife Nigeria, in collaboration with NAFDAC, had agreed to provide antidotes against Dichlorvos poisoning in tertiary and secondary medical centres across Nigeria, as well as the reformulation of all Dichlorvos preparation to include “bitter agents and vomiting induced agents.” It banned the importation and manufacture of 100ml pack size of agricultural formulations of Dichlorvos with immediate effect while the hawking of all agrochemical formulations was also prohibited. Senegal beat Benin 1-0 in Cairo to become the first side to book their place in the semi-finals of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. Sadio Mane and Idrissa Gueye linked up to break Benin's resolve as Africa Cup of Nations favourites Senegal earned a 1-0 win in Wednesday's quarter-final. Senegal escaped with a slender victory against Uganda in the last 16 and they were again made to work hard to keep their quest for a first AFCON title alive by Benin. Following a quiet opening hour in Cairo that saw Mane largely shackled, Aliou Cisse's side stepped things up and found a winner 21 minutes from time through Everton midfielder Gueye. Gueye exchanged passes with Mane and converted into the far corner to book a semi-final date with either Madagascar or Tunisia and end the dream rum of Benin, who were reduced to 10 men late on when Olivier Verdon was dismissed. Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State, yesterday, berated the All Progressives Congress, APC, over the raid on his Abuja residence by the police. He described the democracy being practised under the President Muhammadu Buhari government as embarrassing and insulting without respect for the rule of law. The Governor stated this in Jalingo, the State capital on Tuesday when he fielded questions from journalists shortly after he received former minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Senator Aisha Alhassan. Alhassan paid the Governor a congratulatory visit at the Government House. He said the siege on his private residence in Abuja by the Nigeria Police Force was disgraceful. “I feel very bad that the democratic government of the All Progressives Congress is not living according to the tenets of the constitution. It is disgraceful, embarrassing and insulting,” Ishaku said. “I’m shocked that only my party, the Peoples Democratic Party condemned the police’s siege on my house. APC didn’t talk about it. Don’t they have governors? Can somebody walk into an APC governor’s house and search it? “They broke the gate, broke all the doors of my house, threw out my children. I used two years to beg them (children) to come back to Nigeria. Now, one of them has gone back, I’m still begging him to come back to Nigeria. This is nonsense.” Alhassan, a former Minister in the present administration, was Ishaku’s main challenger in 2015 and in the March 2019 governorship election. During the visit, she pledged to work with the governor for the development of the sate. “I believe that leadership is ordained by God and we cannot all be governors at the same time, therefore, I have accepted my fate. “My visit to you is to demonstrate oneness as we all contested to better the lives of our people but we cannot emerge at the same time. “It becomes expedient to team up together with you to move the state forward. I and my supporters are ready to assist whenever there is a need for us to render assistance,” she said Read more here https://thickmatch.com/police-raid-gov-ishaku-blasts-apc-buhari-government/
